Tried Icicles ice cream today. I've seen them on door dash. I've always wanted to try the rolls of ice cream I've seen on social media. Today, I had that chance. First, I want to say $12 for ice cream is steep. However, this ice cream is thicker than expected. I really did like it. They give you a lot (at least for me). I shared it with my three-year-old and we couldn't finish it. I wish they sold half cups because it would be a better proportion. Would I eat ice cream here again? Absolutely! Would I pay for $12 ice cream weekly? No. Trader Joe's has mini ice cream cones (I think for 6 for $5, but I don't remember). This place is a treat. Like, I finished my paper for my master's or my son reached another milestone. read more

I love the combinations of ice creams that they have here , and for 9$ I love that they not only give the rolled ice cream but they give you a choice of 5 toppings that you would like on your ice cream, which is definitely worth the money. Not only the my sell ice cream here but they sell boba drinks which is awesome too. Give this place a try when your in the area. read more

This place was so fun to visit! Loved that you could see them from start to finish. Most importantly the rolled icecream was so yummy! I ate every bite (even though i most likely could have shared it). I forgot the name of the one i got but i think it was butterface- it has nutella and bananas. It was Bom DOT COM! icicles: this is the first rolled ice cream place that i ever heard of (last summer) before it became a huge deal. although it is basically $10 for an order, it is basically one of the best rolled ice cream places in the area. they have many pre-made flavors on their menu and you can add unlimited toppings there isn't a lot of sitting area but you can make it work i would say that 3 people can share one order (you really don't need your own ice cream i don't know how you'd finish it) give it a try if you haven't before because it has such a smooth consistency the wait might be long depending on when you go read more

Last time i came here it was only $5 a cup. Now the size is the same but it's $9.25?! Insane price increase for no reason. They give 5 free toppings but for those of us who don't want extra toppings, the price should be less. Ordered on the phone for pickup a couple days ago because I had to run somewhere right after. But when I got there, they said my ice cream was ready but I needed to wait in line behind 15 people JUST to pay. This is because I phone called in instead of using DoorDash... I came here a few weeks ago and the ice cream here is good but for some reason this location Ice Cream taste a little less sweet and is less creamy than Ice Cream at other Icicles locations. Service was good the cashier was polite and so was the young man rolling my ice cream Everything was going great until we got to the toppings bar. The thing that I didn't like was that they don't give many toppings. They gave me 1 spoon of toppings and when I asked for more I only got 1 more spoon. And it's not the employee giving less toppings, it's the spoons they are provided with are VERY small. You get 1 little tiny spoon of toppings. It got worse when I saw I only got 1 blackberry and 2-3 blueberries and so did my husband. For almost $10.00 for each ice cream this is a rip off. "Unlimited" toppings but they give you barely any. It wasn't just me I saw cups leaving the toppings bar with very little toppings too. San Jose location offers a self-serve topping bar and this one doesn't. I would go back to Icicles but not this one. read more

Used to be good until they started charging over $10 for one cup. Not only that but they also took away unlimited toppings and limited it to three toppings. Why am I paying almost double for less? I love this place! When I went for the first time Sam was very patient with me and suggested dairy free flavors for their rolled ice cream. Since they were sold out of a flavor I wanted, she added it to another flavor to make sure I got what I wanted which was so kind! On top of that they are so accommodating to food allergies (dairy, gluten, egg, etc). Which I really appreciated because not many places do that! The idea of ice cream rolls is novel and unique, which immediately drew me to this place. Also, the hype around this place is real. When we got there on a Friday night, the line had extended far past the door and it looked like it just kept growing. One of the best parts of Icicles is definitely the service. After you've ordered which flavor you want, the person making the ice cream rolls for you calls out your name so you can watch your own bowl being made. There's individual windows, so it feels very personalized, which I could appreciate a lot with the crazy amount of people in there. There's also unlimited toppings, which is a big plus. I got the Strawberry Fantasy (strawberry+condensed milk+graham crackers) with strawberries, lychee jelly, mochi, and a roasted marshmallow as my toppings. I found it particularly interesting how they didn't use pre-made ice cream; they used condensed milk to give it an "ice cream" texture. As for the ice cream itself, there wasn't anything particularly special about the taste besides it being incredibly sweet, which I expected with all the toppings I got. I guess I overestimated my "sweetness capacity" because I could only eat a little more than half the bowl. The amount they give you is huge (at least by my standards) so if I come here again, I'll bring a friend to share with! read more

I give them a 3.5 star, rounded to 4. Its alright. Nothing over the top. The experience was interesting especially watching how the ice cream was made. They offer many flavors and toppings as well. The only downfall about the place was the wait and the only offered one size. The one size was pretty big and I could barely finish it; felt bad tossing the rest of the ice cream and its toppings. Hopefully in the future, more sizes will be offered. But overall I would recommend it for the experience especially for families with children. read more

This has to be one of the worst Icicles location. The first time I came here was with my husband and MIL. We came just a few minutes before closing, and they said that they were closed. There was a girl there with blonde hair who said "We're closed" and I said "it's not 10 yet" she said "Do you want me to turn on all of the machines again?" My husband said forget it and we left. The second time we came here was about a week ago. My husband and I came and we wanted to split one since the portions are so big. They charge an extra $1.50 to split your ice cream! There was the same girl with blonde hair working and an Indian girl. They were having personal conversations while helping customers. The Indian girl would stop rolling the ice cream and continue her conversation with the other girl. I think you have to be quick when rolling the ice cream. So just as we thought, the portions were a bit off... they also only allow you to put up to 3 toppings on. Anything more than that they charge for. This is all new to me. The Newark location doesn't charge for extra toppings or splitting cups. Will not be returning to this location. I'm currently on the phone trying to contact someone from this location to get the employees names so that I am not referring to them as "blonde girl" or "Indian girl" but I have called them 5 times so far, still NO ANSWER. read more

I love icicles! I came here quite a few times such as when it was busy and when it was dead. Either way, I am glad I was able to sit and enjoy my ice cream. I feel like this location is the best at rolling the ice cream because the other location barely lets it freeze before they roll it, but here they let it freeze. They cater to all your needs and are not stingy with toppings. I came here with my boyfriend and we love it. I ordered the cereal killer with fruity pebbles ( my favorite cereal) with the mochi topping and more fruity pebbles. This place is very inexpensive.When it is hot this place can be packed so be patient. Parking is street parking. I know I will be back soon. I highly recommend people to try this place out. Stopped by here for the first time for my nieces birthday this past weekend & she loved it! I've only had rolled ice cream once before and thought it was hella overrated but I have to say this spot changed my mind. There are a variety of options to choose from on the menu and if you don't like what they have you can customize it to your liking. I appreciate how they use fresh ingredients. As far as the process of making it... it's almost like cold stone except it's BETTER because for one the presentation and two, it isn't a melted mess when you finally get your order. This spot also changed my mind mainly because the ice cream was what it should be... CREAMY! Lastly, I like how it's a flat price for unlimited toppings... I don't know how someone could complain about too much ice cream but hey that's just me LOL. I'll be back to try more flavors! read more

We all scream for Ice cream! Yummy, creamy rolled up Ice creams.. Enjoyed trying out different flavors. I had the "Bravocado" flavor. Comes in cups with rolled up creamy avocados blended with ice cream, perfect amount of sweet, I got mine with marshmallows on the top! While my husband had "Wake me Up" which was coffee and hazelnut combined in the perfect proportion. It is satisfying to watch them make the delicious sweet cream rolls.. This is a dessert place you go to when you're feeling like you need to switch it up every once in a while. That being said, it's really fun to bring someone here on a date or something and watching the employees work on your ice cream is unique! Friday and weekend lines are very long. This is a sad excuse of an "ICICLES". The only employee who I think is the owner is very rude and completely takes away from the whole experience that ICICLES has to offer. We paid $10.50 to not be able to watch our ice cream being made instead we we were told to wait outside because it was "too hot" in the store. I am so pleased with our experience here! As a mother of a toddler with multiple food allergies, I am constantly on edge about trying new restaurants and food options. We were wanting ice cream (sorbet for my son,) and came across Icicles on Yelp. My husband ran in to check out the situation. I was so impressed (and grateful!) They have at least 3-4 signs up asking about food allergies. They have dedicated areas for dairy and/or nut free, and told my husband before making our son's dairy free/nut free concoction: "This is a dedicated dairy/nut free tray. I've already changed my gloves and gotten clean utensils from the back." And then, the employee went to the back for fresh toppings (to avoid cross contamination.) So wonderful to have an allergy friendly (and aware) experience! You have no idea how much this means to food allergy families. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Any chance I have, I come here and get some freshly made avocado with oreo ice cream. This is my favorite place of all time for dessert. Ice cream is creamy and fresh and comes with whatever toppings you want. There are a variety of flavors and you can customize it if you want. I've tried green tea and nutella and avocado and oreo. But the freshness of avocados beats the rest for me. Of course, the quality of the ice cream depends on the staff, but most of those at this location are decently good. Other branches not necessarily as good. It is expensive though but why pay for anything else when you can get ice cream made fresh with fresh ingredients and all the toppings you want? If you're nice and they're in the mood, you could ask for more toppings after you eat some of it and have more room in your cup. read more

Took my niece here because I thought it was a cool place where the youth could snap their ice cream being made. Cool auntie points! I like that they have different areas for preparing items for people with allergies! My niece got the mai thai with a bunch of toppings. My husband and I split the cereal killer. We got a roasted marshmallow topping which is really just 1 marshmallow toasted on a pretzel. Good, but I was imagining like the spreadable fluff being toasted creme brule style. But still good. Didn't want too many topping because our base was already pretty flavorful, but they don't charge you for toppings. So you might as well order a crap ton. Overall, really good. I love cereal ice creams! The rolls are cute, but are essentially just ice cream. Really creamy, but not much different than if you had just eaten it as a scoop. I absolutely love this place! The ice cream is delicious, creamy, and so unique which I love. It is definitely more expensive than your average ice cream shop, but truly, you are also paying for the experience. I love watching my ice cream being made and I love all the ice cream options they have. My favorites are Nutella and Chill and Oreo Blast. The only reason I am giving this place four stars instead of five is because the wait is absolutely insane. During our last two visits we have had to wait 45 minutes from the moment we stood in line until the moment we got our ice cream. While this isn't their fault, I wish there was a better way to take orders and organize everything so that the store doesn't get claustrophobic. Other than that, I recommend this place! I think the wait is worth it and I hope they open new locations! Also props to all the employees for remaining calm and patient in such a fast paced, crowded environment. read more

I am disappointed to be here. My kid always comes here to get there rock n roll. Comes with marshmallows and today the Marshmallows were not fresh and my kid can tell and I tried it. Yes been out at the counter for sometime. I let the people in the counter knows that the marshmallows were bad and we like to get it RE-done. Which they were fine and we are happy to let them get it right, but NO it was the same same same. I ask him if he use the same marshmallows and he said that's the only ones they got. Are You seriously WTF, you got a second chance but you can't even make it right after we told you the problem was the marshmallows. You could have told us that you don't have anymore and we can pick different flavor. Just not a good experience, been coming here as our regular place but maybe this is our last visit. read more

It was fine. I ordered the fruity pebble roll. I really don't know but it taste different from the Newark location. Like maybe they used an off brand fruity pebbles I really don't know. It just tasted ALOT (artificially) sweeter than regular FP. It was fine tho. It wasn't busy, there was on person working and he was really nice. They tell you to wait outside and they will call you when your order is ready ( via speaker outside ). He was generous with the toppings maybe it was cause it was a slow day. But in the end I think I'd rather go to the Newark location read more
