If you're coming here because you've been before and they have gluten free options that are safe, prepare to be disappointed. I came in today to see the mostly empty shelves of gluten cupcakes and assumed they must have run out of the gluten free ones, which is understandable. But at the very bottom crammed in touching the gluten cupcakes we're the gluten free options. What's the point of having gluten free options if you don't keep them separate? People have celiac kids that get so disappointed. It would have taken no extra effort to just keep them on their own tray, but clearly they aren't cautious so it's probably best to avoid. read more

I was distracted by how delicious these cupcakes were, I forgot to take a picture lol. To start, the cupcakes here are LARGE. Maybe about twice the size of grocery store cupcakes. They're also incredibly fresh, you can tell that the bakers take the time to pick out quality ingredients. I had picked out a dozen and it was really difficult to pick flavors because they all looked delicious, and they were. The chocolate cupcake is and will always be a favorite of mine. What convinced me to take a chance though is that they offer vegan cupcakes. First off, I'm not familiar with the area so finding this place in the palladio shopping center was difficult. Honestly, the absolute BEST red velvet cupcake i've ever had. The cupcake itself was so moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. The frosting was perfectly sweet but not so much where it makes u sick, just the best balance of sweetness with the tanginess of cream cheese. Full disclosure - I have always been against the local cookie and cupcake craze due to their cost. I think $15 or $16 for a box of 4 items is just outrageous. Rant over. First off a bit of good fortune, there was an open spot directly in front of the the storefront. Place was quiet and cool on this hot day. Staff was friendly and welcoming, quickly taking my order and placed them nicely into a box. So many flavors to choose from. And I think I saw some cookie and pie creations in the counter as well. I hate giving low review and for the record I love icing on the cupcake and sad to say I did not like the customer service I received from both girls who are tending the bakery. They lack friendliness and overall basic customer service etiquette was poor. I came in with my family and my 3 toddler was being friendly with them and they did not reciprocate not even HI and one girl look super angry. Both were very moist and alot of flavor but we both preferred my milky way one more because it did have filling in the middle. And you could taste all the different flavors in the cupcake. A friend bought me a vegan hummingbird cupcake. Okay so: I dont like cupcakes. I could care less for sweets, and I absolutely hate baked goods. It was a gift so I tasted it slowly. We ordered two dozen babycakes (mini cupcakes) and a dozen cupcakes. We ordered a variety of flavors a week before (i.e. mint chocolate, red velvet, dulce de leche, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate chip, and more). They were great over the phone when I had questions and were good about accepting payment once we picked up our order. The location is somewhat hidden, close to Chipotle. Overall, I had a good experience here and was not disappointed. Our guests enjoyed the cupcakes and we were really impressed with the quality of the items we ordered. So if I said these cupcakes were fabulous it would be an understatement. They not only look amazing but they really taste as good as they look. We ordered a ton of these beauties for my little girls first birthday party. Chocolate chip, confetti, chocolate, red velvet, strawberry, pink delicious and chocolate snowball. I both criteria. However the person taking my order seemed to not know anything about it. Being that she was new and I ordered a week in advance I told her she could check with her boss and call me the next day. She did call me back but failed to address the delivery and discount questions. I ordered 20 baby cupcakes for my sons 3rd birthday. I asked for them to have white frosting with red, blue, and green sprinkles (sanding sugars) to go with the PJ Mask's theme. I arrived Sunday afternoon to pick up my cupcakes and I was so bummed when I noticed they had red, white, and blue sprinkles rather than the colors I requested. Luckily the young lady behind the counter (I wish I remembered her name) had amazing customer service. She was so kind and apologetic. She said she would let the owners know what happened and offered me four free cupcakes, anything I wanted. I asked if she was sure and like any good cupcake lover I can't pass up a free treat. I took her up on three cupcakes, new flavors I wanted to try with my family. I want to say, although I was so bummed the cupcakes weren't what I requested I realize mistakes happen. Honestly, no one even noticed the colors but me and the cupcakes still tasted amazing! Overall, I had a great experience as usual. Cupcakes are an overall 4 experience (occasionally some of these cupcakes are so dang good it feels like a 5 experience. I have been to this location (and this location only) about 6-7 times. The cake part - The cake is full and moist (not overly). It stays whole when you bite it. It is not sweet at all which is great with that sweet frosting. I've had their vanilla based, chocolate based, apricot based, red velvet based, and more --- the apricot, Boston Creme Pie and amaretto were near 5 experiences. Good cake flavors. I've truly not had a dry cupcake here. Frosting - Very sweet but mixes well with the cake part which isn't sweet. Icing is applied nicely and it keeps its form in that carry home box. The top is simply decorated (sometimes with candy bits) and presents nicely. Icing is a good quality and some of them are delicious (like the icing used for the apricot and Boston Creme Pie). Price - Expensive but I am a cupcake newbie. However, I personally do not like grocery store cupcakes (ugh!). They are not comparable to these cupcakes, not at all. However, these prices are high and the average person may not want to pay $35 for a dozen of cupcakes. $$$SAVINGS ALERT: Occasionally they have a dozen of day old assorted cupcakes for $15! We tried this shop for the first time today and while the cupcakes are good we were disappointed with a few things: 1.) We bought 7 cupcakes and one sandwich cookie which cost $32. Thats a bit more than what I expected to pay (roughly $4 for each little cupcake). 2.) The pineapple cupcake was very bland and disappointing (will not buy again) but the chocolate/caramel cake was delicious. Those are the only 2 I've tried but so far they get a 50% success rate from me. 3.) We bought the cakes but had them hold the cakes for an hour while we ran errands in the area (it was 103 outside), then came back to pick them up. They were in a sealed take away box, and gently held by a person in my car the whole 5 minutes home. When I got home and opened the box I found that 6 of the 7 cupcakes fallen on their side and smashed together. That's right, our expensive little cakes were ruined. Next time, I will open the box before leaving the store, or insist that they use one their CLEAR plastic cupcake holders. While I cannot be 100% sure the cakes were mishandled in the store, I do know for sure that they were treated like a precious box of fine crystal during the short the trip home. 4.) On the website it says they sell pies. We asked about pies and were told they are only sold on Friday's? On the door to the building they had an add for "hot chocolate marshmallow" cupcake and we wanted one of those but we were told they are only sold on Saturday's? Umm, if your going to ADVERTISE product then you should have it in the store! I might try them again but my first experience is not good and I can only give them a 2.5 stars (I rounded up to 3). I've worked my way around the menu and haven't been disappointed once. I expected to be hooked on the chocolate cupcakes but surprisingly enough, it was the vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting that got me hooked. It's so soft and moist, and the little bits of granular rainbow sugar help add texture to the smooth buttercream. Sometimes you can't go wrong with the basics! It is a very tiny shop however, which can lead to some awkward encounters when someone holds up the line or buys up cupcakes that someone farther in the back of the line was wanting to purchase. So I usually go to a different cupcake place and because this place was on my way home we decided to stop by. I was absolutely amazed with the flavors. There was Butterfinger, blackberry cobbler, cookies and cream, coffee and cream, carrot cake, chocolate, pistachio, Red velvet, strawberry cheesecake and they have many other flavors, but the ones I mentioned are the ones we tried.. I would suggest either getting on their website or calling to find out what flavors they have as each day they have certain flavors. And yes we went 2 times. The specialty flavors that you would not find any other place were absolutely packed with flavor. My favorite is pistachio and my son's was Butterfinger. The regular flavors like chocolate and red velvet were good but not repeats, if we're going to indulge we are going to try the out of ordinary flavors; however I really did enjoy their carrot cake cupcake. The cookies and cream and coffee and cream were good but I will not make another purchase of them. Compared to another place that I frequent their cupcakes are not as moist as the place that I usually go to but then again the place that I usually go to is not as flavorful nor do they have many great flavors to choose from. Needless to say when I have a couple of cheat days I will definitely get some cupcakes here. Lastly the parking situation at the Folsom store is lacking. At least they have spots that are available for 15 minutes so usually I'm able to get one of those. read more

Yummy Cupcake! I got the vanilla/chocolate and the chocolate frosting was so good. I'm usually not a fan of frostings since they tend to be really sweet, but this one was perfect. The cupcake was also very moist. The cupcakes seemed a little bigger or just slightly bigger than what I'm used to. I think 2 kids can easily share one. I felt super stuffed after eating mine. Also not sure if they usually have a larger selection, but I went in around 3:30 during the week and everything was pretty much gone. There wasn't much to choose from.
