We called five minutes before arriving with a party of eight to check availability, and the male host explicitly confirmed there was no wait and we'd be seated immediately. When we walked in five minutes later, we were told it would be a 25-minute wait. Rather than offering a standard apology for the mix-up, the staff showed zero care. When we asked the host why he told us there was no wait just minutes prior, he rudely replied, "We can't say no to business, and you guys can wait." No respect, no courtesy, and no customer service. When it comes to the service, people are very welcoming and nice. But when it comes to the food, my pancakes were cold and I wanted them to be hot, also the butter was as hard as a rock and because the pancakes were cold they weren't hot enough to melt the butter. I also got a fruit cup and the fruit didn't seem fresh a lot of it was hard as if it was in a freezer. It also took a bit to get our food so not the fastest service. Now I will say that the establishment was very clean but the area is impossible to find parking on the weekends, very busy spot full of stores and markets. I got chicken strips and fries for the food. I know this place is known for pancakes and this is not something you would be ordering here necessarily. And yeah they were not great either. Although I liked their Honey Mustard sauce, they kind of diluted it but it was a good dilution not making it very sweet. So it went with fries and strips. Went there with my mom for breakfast on a weekend. The food was average and service was not there as our server was too busy serving other big tables. When the bill came, the waitress took a while punching in stuff on the mobile machine. We had a terrible experience at ihop as a family of 4. We were initially offered a table that can only fit 3 people..::on requesting a table wt more space they mentioned the one provided should work. we then ended up moving to a new table on our own. On ordering a side of fruit, I got only green cantaloupe and one or two pieces of pineapple. On asking why there are no berries or any better fruit, they mentioned it's seasonal fruit ( we were there in Jan) right after the conversation, we see the neighboring table get their fruit sides wt strawberries and a wider variety of fruit. I feel like you can never go wrong with breakfast at iHop if you're looking for something quick and consistent. Also, for the value and the amount of food, that is always a plus plus. The servers here are friendly and we're always seated right away. I always order the country fried steak anytime I see it on a menu and we also tried the bacon omelette. Once arriving, we'd were greeted by very welcoming servers and it seems like the interior has been recently renovated. Very modern, clean and cozy diner vibes. Not too many big tables here. Mostly just 2-4 seater booths. So we got: Sonic blueberry pancakes ($13) - the same as the regular menu item. iHop just attached the "Sonic" name to the dish. 4 fluffy and fresh blueberry pancakes served with syrup on the side. A little on the sweeter side. BLT sandwhich with onion rings ($6) - Simple and a big portion for this price point. Maybe a little too much mayo. but for $6. This is a great deal! read more

My visit here certainly doesn't reflect the overall low rating here and that's pretty unfortunate as best I could tell was a fairly well run IHOP. Maybe management dramatically improved? Now I love IHOP. Every now and then I need my fix. Rainy afternoon visit and was pretty full with folks including high school seniors for "senior skip day" and actual seniors as they have some nice options for that crowd. I got one of my usuals - Bacon temptation omellette with a short stack. No comaints there. Nice and hot, and prepped just how I expected. My waitress was nice, and checked on me throughout me eating a few times. It seemed well run because they have a walk up window for pick up/carryout orders. Something I haven't yet seen at other IHOPs and that seemed to be going smooth. Myself and other folks never occupied the waiting area more than 5 min. Even throughout my visit. So this is just a solid IHOP. Of course I know it's busier on weekends but nothing at all about my visit here indicated anything majorly wrong with this IHOP. My only 2 criticisms are that waitress didn't refill my water which is minor and I could've asked but forgot and that the syrup comes little cups here. You know those syrup pourers you know and love at IHOP? Gone here. The cups seem wasteful but.. They were warmed up so there's that. Solid IHOP. I'll come back and if you like IHOP I wouldn't be deterred. read more

We love The Original Pancake House but they were closed because it was dinner time and we love Waffle House but sadly there are none in the Seattle area so IHOP it was. For starters, it is Labor Day and bless all the workers who had to work today. However, we waited over an hour for our food and it needed to be sent back once because they put the blueberries on top instead of in it?? Our serve Josie on the other hand was impeccable - checked in on us and was very compassionate about the mistake. She immediately caught it as she was not the person delivering the food but was next to us at point of delivery. The food was tasty, no complaints by any means. Efficiency could be improved but it was very busy so be prepared to wait. The couple next to us had good banter and it was nice to see people out with their families. Not sure how to hate on IHOP as it easily provides the most convenient (can also be interpreted as not the healthiest) breakfast options around. Pre-COVID I've certainly dined in many times with courteous (but mostly slow due to crowds) service. Nowadays they have an easy online ordering system and a walk up takeout window. All our food was ready in a timely fashion (although it was a late lunch). With typically low expectations, everything was accurately prepared and tasted as expected for takeout. Prices haven't really seemed to budge too much over time as well which is great, but then again this place shouldn't be breaking your wallet in general. read more

Mostly, this review is a cautionary tale to myself in the future. Don't don't go in, man. Don't do it. Do yourself a big favor - don't go in with expectations. I knew iHop has become a bottom of the barrel breakfast experience but my toddler wanted pancakes while we were on the road. The pancakes were fine but the amount of money I spent to get the literally worst scrambled eggs I've ever seen in my entire life ever. I'm not a king but the service at iHop made me feel like I had committed a crime and was now getting slop at some prison mess hall by frowny cold un-attending prison keepers. This place is clown town. I feel sorry for anyone who's never known better and comes back to iHop thinking that it's all gonna work out. read more

My kids wanted to come here despite my resistance and I was very pleasantry surprised. If you look at the total reviews, it's not an accurate picture. Instead, look at the most recent reviews and you'll see this IHOP has a lot of recent reviews that are great, so I'm guessing they have really focused on their food and service lately. Our server (Riley) was excellent. Very responsive, memorized our order without any mistakes, and was very personable - more so than most high end restaurants. The food was pretty good and from 3-9pm they have a happy hour menu so the food is very reasonable. The atmosphere is typical IHOP so nothing too fancy to report here, but everything else was spot on. read more

We've been here a few times with mixed experiences. During my most recent visit, I was seated immediately, and ordered a coffee as I reviewed the menu. We both had the 2x2x2 which comes with 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon or sausage. I went for the turkey bacon and added cheddar to my scrambled eggs. The eggs and bacon were were cooked well and delicious, but the pancakes have been better in the past. Our server was a bit short with us during the whole visit but I wouldn't hold it against her. Perhaps she wasn't having a good day? The service hasn't always been this way, it's usually a bit more friendly. During a previous visit, I had the hot chocolate (pictured), which was served in a larger mug topped with whipped cream. The cream was delicious but the chocolate is itself was very sweet. The coffee was average, rather easy for me to drink with the right amount of sugar and creamer. Overall, I may come here if I have a late night or very early morning craving since it's open 24 hours. I like to get my breakfast burrito from here sometimes. When you call to order whatever time they tell you, add about 10 minutes to that expected time and then show up. Every single time I've had to wait a long while after I arrived. The last time I arrived, my food was actually apparently finished but it just hadn't been packed yet. It was just sitting on the counter between the kitchen and restaurant waiting to be packaged up. I know this because after waiting for a long while, I asked if my food was ready, the person said no and then went to the kitchen to ask about my food, they said this is it and she grabbed was was in front of her, bagged it and then ringed me out. I understand that it can get busy sometimes, but I feel like there's a huge difference in attention they give to their seated customers versus someone who ordered online or togo. At least I hope all that attention that leaves my food just sitting on the counter is going to seated customers. read more

Snowboarding got me in the mood for chicken so I ordered their spicy buffalo chicken sandwich which consists of buttermilk chicken tossed in Frank's Red Hot Buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, & buttermilk ranch topped w/ a brioche bun. The sandwich also comes w/ a side of fries. Despite the appetite I had, the sandwich & fries was decent. Since they use Frank's hot sauce, the sandwich wasn't all that spicy either.
