Last time I came here I had a good experience. This time my waitress was rose and when I asked her for a glass of orange juice and a water, I heard her say to another coworker in the back, " this fat b***h wants a water and a juice" . Smh. Not to mention she was scratching her head nonstop throught the restaurant. You are too old to have head lice rose. That's disgusting ur a "waitress". When we asked for our bill , we didn't leave her a tip because of her horrible attitude. When my son went back in to use the restroom , he said that he heard our waitress say ," that stupid n****r b***h didn't leave me a tip." When she went to pick up our table. Why can't other restaurants serve this quality of food? Denny's has nothing compared to IHOP. Also.. the service is very attentive. Their pancakes are the bomb!! AND they have B&G!!!! !We were staying at La Quinta, which is next door to I hop on Tulare. We went there for dinner and had such a nice experience- all around good food, excellent service that we decided to return for breakfast the next day before getting on the road. What a difference! Complete disaster!. The waitress seats us and only gave us one menu to split- we got up to get another one and she disappeared without taking our drink order. I was not very hungry and they don't have a single pancake on their menu (not even the kids) so I told the waitress that we would split the three pancakes my husband ordered and a bowl of fruit for me. When she brought our food, she asked if I wanted an extra plate! I had to keep from saying "no, I will just eat off his plate"! the entire time we were there, she and the cook were arguing about her "rolling her eyes" at him and closing a door on him! Eight friends and family went to this IHOP yesterday for dinner before an event downtown. We arrived at 4:45 pm and found very few people. A woman seated us and gave us menus and disappeared; no drink orders or anything else. At 5 pm one of our group went to find someone to tell them we had a timeline so the waitress came back and took our food and drink orders. At 5:20 pm, she began bringing our food, one or two at a time, strung out over 10 minutes. One person waited for over 15 minutes. Totally unacceptable! We wondered if there was a chef in the kitchen. Hubby wanted breakfast so we went out for a late brunch. Ihop was near by so we decided to stop here (not our first time at this location). We ordered the sampler, steak omlette and super chkn melt. Our appetizer came out after the food of the ppl next to us,who ordered after us. The chkn strips were dry and the onion rings were burnt. I can't believe they even served it. It only came out with miranera sauce so we had to ask for ranch that was supposed to come out with it. And our server was out of sight most of the tiime. I ordered my chkn sandwich w/out onions, peppers, and mayo...but they forgot to add the ranch that's also included in the sandwich. We tried to make the most of the occassion, as we don't eat out as often as we used to. Upon entering, the host treated us differently than the guests seated after us and from the guests who paid their tabs before us. Needless to say we won't be back. What can I say. I waited 45 minutes for my food which most of it was not cooked properly. The pancakes was very doey in the middle, and when I sent them back to manager argued that's the way they were supposed to be. The rest of the food was either undercooked don't overcooked. read more

I use to go to this IHOP all the time back when I lived in Fresno. The waitresses were fine and the service was fairly quick, but the food was pretty bland. At one point I went to the one way up on the northern side of Fresno and I was amazed at the food. I also have gone to a few other locations and the food was far better. Clearly it's not that IHOP just doesn't serve decent food, it's that THIS IHOP doesn't serve decent food. There's nothing necessarily bad about this location, it's just that you have much better choices. It's too bad that this is the only IHOP within the downtown area. read more

This IHop was slow on service, the environment they sat me in was barley lighten up. They forgot about us and had to be reminded to take our drink orders, as well as food. When they served our food they forgot the special "all you can eat pancakes" and never came to serve more, continuing the food service they as well forgot to serve us our complete meal. My family and I are traveling from Texas. We stopped at the IHOP that was closest to our location, and found the service to be excellent. The manager was attentive and eager to please. Our food came out quickly and we had a surplus of refills. The food was delicious!!! The manager insisted on offering us to-go drinks after learning that we were traveling. I stopped there because it was conveniently located next door to La Quinta where I was spending the night. I am actually glad I stopped because I had a wonderful experience. I got there right before dinner, so the place was kind of empty. I wasn't in a mood for anything heavy so I was looking at the menu trying to decide what to order. The manager, Clarence was working on some paperwork at a table near by and he overhead my conversation with my server, Roxy. I was actually looking to have a Caesar salad but that is no longer on the menu, so the Cobb salad with crispy chicken was the next best thing. Clarence assisted me along with Roxy to customize my salad and added some wonderful crisp garlic bread on the side. The food was delicious, fresh and prepared exactly how I wanted it. Well, my server was nice... I RARELY go out to eat and only did this time because I had an hour to kill after an appointment and I hadn't yet eaten today...chose IHOP to try the crepes and get some coffee. The coffee was okay (loved the carafe left on the table~ty) but then...my fruit streusel crepes were rubbery, my bacon was not crisp, rather floppy and underdone and my hashbrowns - omg - when a customer orders and makes a specific request (please, I'd like my hashbrowns well done/crunchy!!) AND there's only a few people in the restaurant...is it really too much trouble to pass that info along to the kitchen and make sure it's correct? They were grayish with only a slight browning on top - SO underdone and the opposite of what I had hoped to get. My server disappeared after she put the check on the table ("don't feel rushed but here"-I had JUST started eating) and I had to get up and check some of the empty tables for cream and sugar when I ran out of the few she brought with my CARAFE. Overall, VERY disappointed. Will NOT be redeeming my receipt w/code for a free short stack - lol...WILL call for the survey then toss it in the garbage...boooo IHOP - NEVER again! read more

This is heartbreaking to do because I love IHOP, but I could not go without speaking my mind. First of all our wait time was long. Forgivable. After waiting for our server(Reyna) this is exactly what she said "are you ready to order yet?" Not a smile or even a smirk. I said "hello, yes we are ready" she stared at me as if I disrespected her? Once done with our order she said "ok, is that it" and left. Didn't see our server for 20 minutes. Didn't care that our drinks needed refills. When she finally came with our incorrect order I had to remind her we ordered other items as well. At this point I asked for a manager. Manager came up and said "yes?" Seeing as he was in a serving apron as well asked... "are you the manager sir?" Not only did the server not introduce them selves or even so much as to give us a fake "hello guys are you ready to order"... but neither did the manager. The team seems to just not be well trained in customer services. Nor did they carry a clean look to them. A lot of the staff looked very sloppy. An older man from the back walked out by our table and was hawking up a mucusy spit wad. Manager gave us our sandwich to-go for free ..... and we appreciated the effort.....but unfortunately this was the worst experience I've had at any outing, not because they got my order wrong seeing as I myself, someone who works in customer service have made my fare share of mistakes but to not have manners, or a smile to not know how to communicate in that type of industry is unacceptable. The worst part was I had to do business in that area so I asked my mother to accompany me so I could at least take her out for mothers day (Hispanic Mother's Day).
