First day of work May 13th 2021

I started working at IHOP on May 13, 2021 - June 26th 2021 Hostess. The crew is amazing all the way from the waiters and waitresses the general manager, shift leader, cooks ,prep everybody.. Except the OWNER He's degrading, misogynistic, homophobic and disrespectful to top off the cake When they find a new host remember they are telling you 25 to 30 even 40 minutes because they're understaffed they're getting floor orders on the phone orders GrubHub and the website with maybe two cooks three if they're lucky If your waitress hasn't gotten to your table and it's been 15-20 minutes they probably were trying to get food for another three tables that have been waiting the same amount of time for their food because the cooks are overwhelmed and you would think oh stop any other order except through the phone or in person until you get more people well that's not how money hungry owners work If you're going to dine into this restaurant keep in mind it is understaffed and that is 100% part of your experience if you're going to go in there to be disrespectful and or no tip go to Applebee's or McDonald's But if you decide to stop in there tell your waiter or waitress Sofia says hi!

It was busy (which is always a good sign) but our food arrived pretty quickly. Ordered a Southwest scramble and chicken waffles- both were good!

This place is very slow there seems to be no kind of management. Waited two hours only for the waitress to forget to put the order in.

If you are not a steak eater, there is plenty on the menu for you too. However, go for the steak! We go a few times a year and it never disappoints. Dress is casual, kind of an old looking dive bar vibe with great food. People are nice, servers know their menu and can make good suggestions if you're a first timer. Reasonably priced for everything except the steak. With the steak, you're paying for quality. Always a great meal, and almost always leftovers to take home. We've never had dessert because dinner is so filling, so no review on dessert here.

The onion rings could easily feed four for an appetizer there's that many. My NY Strip was cooked perfectly with garlic butter as an add-on. Creamy and so tasty. My husband had the ribs and said they were amazing. The staff was super friendly and pleasant all around. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was that it's unbelievably loud in there. It's really hard to have a conversation while dining there. It's got more of a bar vibe to me, so maybe that's why I found it hard to hear. But I would definitely go back but probably earlier before the crowd gets heavier.

It had herbs de Provence on top but it was like it was an afterthought and they weren't seasoned into the salmon, more like cooked the salmon plain & dipped it in the dry herbs after it was cooked. The parsnip puree it came with tasted more like butter than anything else so I avoided that. My friend ordered a burger done medium and she got a well done burger. What pissed me off the most is I ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit and when we walked in, I saw a piping hot one being walked to a table that was dining in. The girl who I was picking up my food with told me they didn't have anymore so asked if a plain biscuit was fine .. I was like no not really I don't want that and they had no idea what to do. I asked if they had bbq sauce and the guy said "I don't know". Like what? You work there ??? I just took my food and left and sure enough the biscuit was SO DRY. My friend took cheese from her dinner and melted it onto the biscuit which made it way better. My question is- why didn't the restaurant think to do this if they have cheese.... This place was an expensive disappointment. We both didn't like our meals. The ambiance inside was nice though but the food and service sucked

Our original plan was to go to Ironbound Farm but they closed early and one of the staff recommended The Little York, and boy was he right!! Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.
