Had breakfast, an ice coffee and water and of course requested the Butter Pecan syrup for my pancakes. They were quite busy but service was great and the food was as described. One exception is today the buttermilk pancakes were splitting in half. Didn't t affect the taste too much but made them thin in places. Eggs cooked to a perfect medium! The place is clean, bright and nice and airy! I don't understand the no refill on a $3.99 iced coffee. Basically it was always just hot coffee poured over ice and served with creamer. Last time I was there I was asked 3 time before I even got through the first page of the menu. Since every server does it I assume it's poor management decision. This was my literal last stop before leaving the Rehoboth/Dewey Beach area. I needed a somewhat quick meal that would hold me over until I got to my next destination. It is technically part of the outlets and I did not move my car from where I was parked to come here. Minimal wait when entering to be seated and once I was in my seat I was left to look over the menu. My server, who was absolutely amazing, was there shortly thereafter. Placed my drink order and left to look over the menu a bit more because I am not usually a breakfast person. When my server returned I kept coming back to what they were promoting at the time (that should tell you how long this review has been sitting in my queue to write). I really wanted something sugary and would give me a burst of energy for the day. I landed on the Reese's Pieces Short Stack Combo. Basically two pancakes topped with both peanut butter and chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and Reese's Pieces. These were amazing. Sweet, but not too sweet, and the warmth from the pancakes make the candy pieces a little soft, so that peanut butter flavor really carried through. I guess it also came with the eggs, hash browns, sausage, and bacon as well. Eggs come out cooked how you like, I went with scrambled and when they asked to add cheese I said yes of course. Hash browns were nice and crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. Bacon was the right consistency between crunchy and chewy, and I really can't say anything bad about the sausage links. It was a satisfying meal to get my day started. I have to touch on my server again. She was a true gem here. She was upbeat, consistently checked on me, and made sure I was taken care of in a timely manner. She was so sweet too. read more

Our family of six has discovered that IHOP is a place we can all usually find something to eat. The parking lots was packed so we thought there may not be any seating, but I dropped l off my wife and she went in to check. And it was mostly empty. Not sure why the lot was so full. There were six of us and they sat us at a table with 9 seats. It was kind of awkward and made it a little harder to all sit together. The food was good. Turkey Avacado melt, eggs, bacon, pancakes, fries and sausage rounded out what we had. No complaints there. The staff started taking away plates and actually wiping down the table while I was still eating and then sitting there gathering my things. It was again awkward. The place was dead. Not sure why they were rushing us out of there. We were not there a long time either. I used the restroom and it had just been mopped and looked good. There were no paper towels (empty dispenser) but there was a hand dryer. I just prefer towels. The have kids menus and crayons which is also nice. read more

I liked this place especially the impeccable service. They tried and went above beyond their call of duty. I also went to the bathroom and was impressed about how clean and spic and span it was. Went with a few of my girlfriends and we couldn't decide what to eat on the menu. We perused for awhile. I decided to order the breakfast sample which came with two eggs any style, hashbrowns, sausages, pancakes, and ham. All came out perfectly. This ihop failed to meet any and all expectations i had as a new yorker. For starters , i was brought the wrong drink, the workers failed to accommodate me and my entourage in terms of seating. Went there yesterday around 12 for breakfast with a few friends on our way back home from OCMD. Hands down, one of the worst service experiences I ever had. But not because of our waitress, but it was due to how the manager was and how he handled things. Got there, manager told us it was gonna be a 10 min wait for a table. Cool, no big deal. Got our table a few mins later and waitress came out and asked for drinks and food. 20 mins after putting our order in, no food came out. Around the same time, a different party sat down at a table next to us. They placed their order, and food came out fairly quickly for them. But we were still waiting (at this point it was about 40 mins). Waitress was upset that we didn't get our food and that the manager that we asked for still hasn't come out. Finally go out food between 50mins to an hour after we were initially seated. Still, no manager came out. One of my friends was so fed up, he walked out. I told the waitress "hey, can you please let the manager know if he's not here in the next few mins, I will walk into that kitchen and talk to him myself." I finished my food, and guess what, no manager came out. So I went to the kitchen, and got the managers attention. Told him I was waiting for him and that I wanted to speak to him. He said "wait at your table for me." I said "no, I'm leaving. I'm not paying for my food." And he said "ok" and then I added "my table isn't paying for the food either." He said "ok, bye." And then I asked for corporate's number and his name and he told me to wait at my table again. At this point, he threatened to call the cops. I said "do it", went back to my table, and told everyone we're leaving. He came to my table and apologized to my friends, but told them "your friend over here can't be yelling at me like that" and I was like "yelling? I'll yell at you and you will know I'm yelling at you. I've been calm with you this entire time, especially with the service you showed." And then I asked him for the waitress, handed her the tip she deserved, and walked out. This is by far the cleanest and nicest Ihop I have ever been to. Our server was excellent, the food was well prepared, and our table and around was clean. This IHOP is great! The staff mostly doesn't speak english, but enough to give you what you need. All of the servers genuinely care that you get what you wanted and are very attentive. Bad service, bad food. Our waitress talked over us while we were ordering and rather than ask how we wanted our hamburger cooked she just said, "Medium well, right?" We had a kids meal of scrambled eggs, 1 slice of bacon and 5 pancakes - which looked fine and according to my daughter was fine; a second kids meal of a toasted cheese and yogurt - hmm, the bread looked toasted as it's pretty close to black but the cheese isn't melted and the yogurt is in a tube. What happened to a bowl of yogurt? Then we had 2 cheeseburgers. I had fries with mine, eleven fries - yes, eleven. I did count them. They were undercooked and cold. My burger was red in the middle, the lettuce was so wilted (I don't even know how to describe that), the mayo was warm and runny (that's freaky). My partners burger was just as bad. Yuck and gross. The waitress never came back to fill up our drinks and at $2.49 each, that's ridiculous. She did buzz by about 20 minutes after we were done eating to throw down the bill. We decided on a quick easy breakfast Friday morning. It was busy, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress was so good she was basically waiting on us to decide. We finally ordered and our food was out in no time. Everything was cooked perfectly. The coffee is great. Our waitress keep our coffee full and hot. The manager came by and ask how everything was. Which is always a nice touch to know they care about their work and staff. As other customers would get up and leave, several people would come and clean the tables quickly.
