IHop came out with a new thick and fluffy French Toast menu, and it had my name written all over it. They no longer use regular bread, and have replaced it with artisan bread dip in a vanilla cinnamon batter. There are several toppings you could have on it. I chose the Strawberry Banana, glazed strawberries, fresh bananas, powdered sugar and whip cream. My wife chose the Gingersnap Apple that consisted of sliced cinnamon apples, gingersnap cookie crumbles, red currants, and powdered sugar. This came with the apples, and red currant on the side so you can mix how sweet and tart you want it. Cinnamon apples, and red currant paired perfectly. These new breakfast entrées are absolutely delicious. As always service was excellent and the restaurant is extremely clean. I also like that they give you a craft of coffee instead of needing to keep coming back for refills.

"I'll have my eggs sunny side up, like your personality!" , I thought as the salty, curt server took our orders! We were a party of 8, and felt like we were in the army... she took our orders like... "what will you have? And you... and you ... " very stiff and regimented. Hey... don't smile... it'll ruin your tough mystique. She did have a good memory though, she got our orders out without a hitch! "Everything good... " glance and walk away... mmmkay... I'm not a fan of chains, especially breakfast spots... this was typically crowded... loud, and dated. But it was pretty clean! The menu is mainly a carb inducing overload of starchy pancakes, French toast and waffles...and yes..: you can have them smothered in just about anything you can imagine!Even rainbow sprinkles and cupcake icing... now, if that won't make you lose your lunch... I don't know what will. And don't worry, they have lots of syrups to choose from if you need an extra sugar boost! They do offer some healthy options like avocado toast on multigrain bread, that looked pretty good! No oatmeal here, nor a selection of teas, but the coffee is decent. The 55+ menu is PLUS, and a kids menu is available! Won't be hopping back here anytime soon...

On 11/28/2021, we stopped off at IHOP for a late brunch when coming back to NJ. We entered the restaurant. The hostess greeted us through a plastic opening. She opened a large protective plastic door to let us enter. We were escorted to the table. The server immediately came over with menus. She wore a mask. We were asked if we would like anything to drink. A few minutes later she came back with water and tea. She took our orders. I had two gluten-free pancakes. They were very good. Of course, I had to put butter and little maple syrup on them. Gluten free pancakes were about a dollar extra. My friend enjoyed the Strawberry and Bananas French Toast. The restaurant was very clean. Very good customer service too! I was truly impressed the way IHOP covers all Covid protocol. At this location, my entire experience was very good!

Our waitress was friendly and our food came out very quickly! My chocolate chip pancakes were excellent as always! The big steak omelette is very large so most of it came home with me. My husband enjoyed his 2x2x2. We will definitely be back again!

I never thought I would feel so positively about a place like IHOP, but here I am. This is my second time around the holidays in 2 years coming to IHOP and the second time in 2 years I've left feeling full, happy, and full of pancakes I actually really enjoyed. I came here in the afternoon with 4 other friends and we were seated right away. The waiter we had was extremely friendly and quick to take orders and provide drinks. Since it was the holidays I was only left with one option as far as the pancakes go and that was THE GRINCH pancakes....yup, they have pancakes themed after the The Grinch who stole Christmas! I honestly don't even think I know what flavour they were or anything like that, but what I do know is that those green grinchy pancakes were full of flavour (I'm still not sure what it was, but man did it taste dang good), it had some whip cream on top, and when the syrup got added, BAM! I had some super tasty pancakes that did my body good. Overall, IHOP is a great place to get pancakes and even though I can't speak for anything else on the menu, I think you should come here for some pancakes. The end.

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

Let me tell you, every time I passed this place, I was missing out. This breakfast spot brings me back to the good ole days when my grandparents and I would get breakfast together - this place is comforting and is the perfect disconnect from this crazy world. I ordered the 2x2x2 Meal, I chose Over Medium Eggs with Pork Bacon, delicious. I ended up upgrading from French Toast to Texas-Style French Toast. I 'd recommend to stick with their OG style French Toast. Considering the bread I upgraded to being a thicker style, it seems like they did not dip the bread long enough in the mix since the middle was very dry. It felt welcoming and overall I enjoyed my experience!
