Super guilty pleasure, I mean reading the other reviews I think we're all in the same boat where we feel like we want to give it 5 stars, but there's something... I don't know what... but something makes us click 4 stars. The food here isn't "amazing" but for the price, it's a great filler for you and a great place to take a break during the hundreds of people march through IKEA. If you're a member you get the free coffee or tea which is nice. What I love is the furniture and decor, I mean what's the best advertisement than having people use what you're selling to see if they like it or not. I mean I questioned the chairs and the tables, but after eating here I don't anymore. Also the food is familiar and it actually tastes good, granted it's probably not from scratch, it's still good. The only gripe I have is that there could stand to be better signage of which line is open (they have two sides of the cafeteria line and sometimes both are open, but you all have to go through the cue....or do you? Without policing of it, impatient, or rude people skip the cue and walk straight to the other side... no signs, no staff, no consequences. I think Tom Seguera said it best "some people just suck"... I dont know what there's to complain about, its conveniently located inside Ikea, free parking, super affordable prices, cafeteria style so you can help yourself with the readily available foods inside the cases. After a long time...not sure how many hours in the Ikea Maze of Death, but with a cart filled with dollar store style trinkets, and after braving the 10 customer long line, we made our way to the Ikea cafeteria. With a very good boiled hot dog, which tasted very close to the Ball Park Frank, but instead probably called Soccer Field Frederick's Hotdogs, paired with a delicious, yet hard to suck down, due to the PC paper straw that collapsed after 5 sucks, lemon-lime slush, it reminded me of a good day after Home Depot in Detroit, hitting the chains hot dog stands not found in Cali. However, the icing on the swedish cake was their Cinnamon Roll...with, obviously, delicious icing drenched atop a stuffed cinnamon cake. Stay simple here and you will be happy...dive into those meatballs and you might give this place a -1 rating. read more

I like coming to Ikea (occasionally just the restaurant) because they serve delicious food! I like getting the Swedish Meatballs because it's simple, great, and affordable. Sometimes, they run low on meatballs and run out because it's near closing time, but that's my fault for coming way too late. I went with the chicken meatball dinner accompanied with veggies and mashed potatoes. A whopping $4.99 at checkout, the audacity! How can you not love IKEA food? It's comfort food and I'm not even Swedish. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because I still can't get over their removal of the $7.99 prime rib plate from the old Burbank location. I love coming here for a cheap and easy lunch option. As soon as you enter, you go up the escalator and it's located to the right, so it's hard to miss! It's cafeteria style, so you have to grab a tray and follow the line. My favorites are the meatballs, of course, and the chicken strips with fries! All their meals here are very reasonably priced and taste great! Even though they're cheap, they're good sized portions and it's definitely enough to make you full! The dining area is so spacious and clean. It's really beautiful and bright with lots of natural sunlight. There are little stations around the dining area where you can place your trays and dirty dishes when you're done eating. You can definitely study here if you wanted to, but make sure your electronics are fully charged if you plan on staying for a while because there aren't any plugs!! Parking is easy because there's plenty of parking underground, especially on the weekdays. read more

Food was alright for breakfast, little dry but considering how affordable it is I didn't mind that much. The breakfast plate for 2 people with gourmet coffee choices came out to a $6.50. Imagine that! 2 breakfasts, waffle plate, 2 coffees. The automated coffee machine will give you hot water from silver spout but the coffees are from the black rectangular spout. Have only been here 2x, one for breakfast and the other at the market place. Can't wait to check whole place out but be warned to come early for parking. I love this place! I love IKEA too, but its restaurant is my favorite, hehe. It's definitely a cafeteria-style place, and is an absolutely HUGE space. I like sitting by the windows and just hanging out for a bit. A few cons are that they upped the prices a bit, and they're almost starting to become a bit too much, in my opinion. There are no more fabulous deals, like in the old IKEA. I really like most of their food, though. It's not fancy, just comforting. I also like their slices of cakes/pies and delicious coffee. I love that they have self-serve ranch as well, because I'm basic like that. I don't appreciate that they now charge for the fancier coffees, but I do get it. So today was one of those days that I was just like "what the hell let's do lunch at the ikea restaurant". This is self serve cafeteria style with no frills or anything. Honestly you get what you pay so my total for food and drinks was comparable with what you would get from fast food places. The leverage this place has is its in a cooler looking dining place. But in all honesty the quality isn't probably any better. So if you are looking for healthy and cheap I would avoid it. Furthermore, the Swedish Meatballs were a bit on the smaller side because I could have sworn these were much bigger. Would I come here again? Nothing makes me feel more safer and welcome than the cheap and delicious food served here at any Ikea cafeteria. I'm definitely sure there are people who come here just for the food and the snacks nearby the checkout lines. The bbq chicken wrap that was in the display case looked bland but it exceeded my expectations. It was a little plain with not a lot of lettuce inside the wrap but Ikea food is a tier above cafeteria quality food and it was a very light meal. It felt like it was made of love. Came to this location for a first time, I order the salmon since it look fresh and delicious.. well guess what? I took a bite and it was extremely fishy , so I stopped eating it.. ended up eating my husbands food.. I also ate some of the veggies from my salmon plate.. About 40 minutes after eating, I started to get abdominal cramps and barely made it to the restroom before throwing up. I now feel sick and need to go home and rest because this trip went from exciting to making feel like crap.. While I love IKEA, I love their restaurant more. I always time my visits to IKEA around lunchtime so I can have lunch here. This new IKEA restaurant is a lot larger than the previous ones. There are two line areas that each lead to their own kitchen, although they usually only have one line open unless it is really busy. You line up, grab a tray, and then get your food. They have refridgerated drinks and desserts before you get to the kitchen staff for the hot foods. I always get their Meatball Plate, which has increased price to $5.99. This comes with Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, lingonberry sauce, and heated frozen vegetables. I hate the vegetables they serve here so I get a double order of the mashed potatoes instead. And I recommend everyone doing that :P They actually added a lot of menu items here--pasta, chicken tenders, steak, salmon, etc--but their meatball plate is their best item. Once you get your hot plate from the kitchen staff, then you can get soups, breads, salads, and soda/water glasses. Then you go to the cashier and check out. After check-out are the drink machines, utensils, napkins, and condiments. The seating area here is also a lot larger than before. There are several sections--you might have to walk a little bit if it is busy but there are so many tables/seats that you will definitely find one. Once you finish eating you take your tray and put it away in the designated areas. All in all this is a very efficient way of cleaning up after patrons and helps to keep the costs low. And then afterwards you can walk around IKEA to burn off the calories from your meal ;) Parking is also so plentiful here, with ground level and underground parking available, so there is really nothing to complain about. But I do feel like the quality and flavour of the meatballs has decreased a little bit recently so I am giving them four stars instead of five. But I do really love IKEA Restaurant! read more

so delicious and cheap however their prices went up a bit i think. their swedish meatballs never miss and sometimes give different vegetables every time i come here but for $7 you cannot complain! a kids meal is $3, with big portions. i tried their raw salmon slice and it was okay, it tasted a little fishy and a bit slimy it must've been sitting out for a bit.. we got here at 2pm. their soda station is very interesting and their pepsi was too sweet and very carbonated. it's annoying when you have people waiting for you to fill up your drink because it takes forever for the fizz to die out before you add more in your glass. their lemon cod was okay, a little too salty for me. the tables were clean however their chairs are a little dirty. they also have a microwave and bottle warmer and a little kids area. stop by before shopping! or after! lol read more

The food isn't really that great here. It lures you in thinking wow the price is great but once your family orders, the bill comes out to over $30. This review is for breakfast only. Scrambled eggs 2 sausage links and something called a pancake. Eggs where literally watery (ewww!) Potatoes and sausage were ok. Pancake king of looked like a 2 crepes folded together not all the way cooked. It was nasty and had a chewy texture to it, kind if like gummy bears. Had to throw half my food away. But as they say you get what you pay for. $2.99 Cappuccino was pretty good, if you are an Ikea family member your coffee is free . I was treated very badly at Ikea recently. My daughter went to the cafeteria Saturday and it was extremely crowded. We went to the end of the line which was very long. I wasn't paying attention following the people ahead of me. I confess I was looking at my iPhone. Then the security guard or this woman pulls me out. She tells me the end of the line is across the aisle. I said I know I was in line until you pulled me out. Now, since she had pulled me out of the line I notice 20 people have cut in front of me. Then she asked who was in front of me I don't remember to be honest. Then my daughter come out and she heard me yelling at the security guard that I cut in front of the line. Well now there is no one in line so we go to the back of the line. I should have yelled out HEY DOES ANYONE REMEMBER YHE LADY WITH BLUE HAIR. I stand out in a crowd even though I'm 4'-10". The food was good except for carrots and broken which tasted cold. It tasted like it was frozen and had not been cooked through. Frozen carrots have a weird texture like rubber. I am moving into a new apartment I thought I would get new furniture but it won't be from Ikea. I'll look for my sectional new bedroom and kitchen ware someplace else. I've spent a lot of money here too but you lost me when you called me a line cutter. read more

I was waiting for a hair appointment in the area and me and the fiance stopped in to grab something to eat. I've never really dined at an IKEA in the past other than when I was a kid and would crave those meatballs.. yup still there! What I didn't know was they have more options! The chicken strips were pretty standard and tasted better with tapatio and ranch. The swedish meatball dish was alright, I think I had high expectations due to all the other good reviews about it. I felt like the meatballs could've been a little more solid and less spongy. I saw a sign in the area saying their food is organic which I appreciated. Also their ligonberry soda was surprisingly refreshing. I thought it was going to be too sweet but it wasn't.
