This is a highly regarded spot which we finally got to try out on date night. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was quite active. Made a reservation same day and sat outside. My girlfriend got the rigatoni and I ordered the bolognese. They were both very very delicious and piping hot when served. Great quality food. We got a few mocktails as well and it was great. Overall, we had a really great experience at this restaurant! The the outdoor space looked very cute and nice, and even though it was pretty cold outside, the heaters made it very comfortable. My friend is the one who spoke up, and the server asked if I wanted it remade, to which I said no thank you (there was maybe 5 noodles left). He comped my meal though, which was so nice! Caesar salad was $18 and very underwhelming. Decent, but underwhelming. My friends order was wrong, and another got the wrong drink. I mean this as nice as possible, our waiter had a very thick Italian accent so maybe we misunderstood him a couple times, or there was just a gap in communication. We started with the Zuppetta (Muscles and clams) which was great! I just wish there was more toasted bread that came with the dish. I've been here several times for lunch during a shopping outing on Rodeo and it's always a good meal. We started with a caprese and upgraded the cheese to be burrata. They add some marinated red bell peppers as a garnish, so that's an interesting touch. For our entrees we got the Cacio e Pepe and the spinach ravioli. The Cacio e Pepe has the perfect amount of sauce, not too creamy (which can make the pasta soggy) Al dente, and one of the best I've had in the city. I recently dined at Il Pastaio, one of the best and most authentic Italian meals I have had in a while. This place was quite busy for a Wednesday night, a reservation would be highly recommended. We got this amazing Eggplant starter in a sundried tomato sauce, omg it was so unique and delicious. My husband got the Agnolotti and he was genuinely in food heaven. It was perfectly cooked with each bite giving a burst of mushroom flavour balanced by the creamy truffle sauce. The cheese fondue added the right amount of depth and decadence to the dish. I got the Tagliolini Al Tartufo, I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Everything was on point and every bite was amazing.
