I hit this location up a few times a year on my way to Tahoe with my family. Yes it can take 5-15 minutes to get your order but it's seriously worth it. The staff is always friendly and the food is always great the one bit of feedback is not particular to this location but to in-n-out in general....the fries are super weak. However the burgers are so bomb that we still come and skip the fries and instead get a second burger. read more

For some reason we just can't get orders for our groups prepared perfectly as ordered, but the service, food quality, and even the look/feel/smell of the place is consistent and predictable at every location that we have been to. I was at a routine doctors visit today, where the scale surprisingly showed me 5 lbs. lighter than last week - so naturally, I left the doctors office, and drove straight to In&Out for a big juicy burger! Sure there are other good burger places around Tracy where you can get a bigger, juicier burger with more stuff on it for more money, but as a California girl, sometimes you're just in an In&Out kind of mood. I just moved here from a brief stint in TX, and I'm sorry, but Whataburger doesn't even come close to satisfying an In&Out kind of craving. Before we all get in to a burger war discussion, I just want to say I have not tried out the different burger joints, so right now this is the one that I do enjoy, but this can change as I try out different location or other restaurants across the country. I have enjoyed in-n-out for sometime now, I remember the only place we could get in-n-out was on I-5 in Stockton, and trust us we made sure that was a stop each time we pass through, now you can find this place anywhere you like. Which for me is good because sometimes I enjoy a fun burger. The burgers and fries are always fresh and yes you can see them making it in front of you of you want to watch. The service is fast, they have to be as busy as this location gets. The staff is friendly, it is nice to see employees having fun and enjoying their jobs (at least they look like they are having fun). The restroom could always be cleaner, but each time we have been here at this location it has been super busy and it is clear for using the facilities. The dining area, is clean and they usually have one staff member dedicated to cleaning so as soon as you are leaving you can know an employee is right behind you getting the table ready for the next people to sit down and eat. Outside sitting is available especially here as it does get warm during the summers, great place to relax and have a nice dinner with family, especially if you have kids. read more

First let me say I don't like to go out to eat at a place that serves food that tastes like something I could make at home. So I had never been a fan of In-N-Out. Now however I am a big fan, yes it tastes like what I can make at home -dishes, -cooking, -grill cleanup :-) I like the straightforward menu without all the fancy frills that usually leave me going "choices are nice but there are so many choices I don't know what to get". I also like (although I think it's dangerous for them) the fact that there is a real human being standing out there to take my order, I get to see a FACE rather than a board with stuff on it and a speaker. The employees are always super friendly and happy rather than your normal fast food employee who growls at you when asking for your order then when you get to the window gives you the evil eye for daring to breathe in their presence. We witnessed the funniest thing at this In-N-Out location. We were sitting in the drive-through line and a charter bus pulled into the McDonald's parking lot adjacent to this In-N-Out, everyone offloaded, walked right past the McDonald's and came into In-N-Out even though they were parked in the McDonald's lot! When In-N-Out first came to town it was the bees knees! Then I became spoiled and stopped coming for quite some time. Recently my husband wanted to go and I was like eh ok....but after the first bite I remembered why I loved them in the first place. They're awesome! Their food is delicious and even though they are a fast food chain, they still have that old fashioned taste. Everything is fresh and that's what sets them apart from their competitors. It really makes a difference. Their menu is small but totally customizable, want a triple triple with grilled onions? It's yours! I also love their pink lemonade and the fact that they serve 7-Up. This location has ALWAYS been great. Fast friendly service and excellent food. The drive thru line may get long sometimes but they are always proactive in keeping the service levels up and it's never too long of a wait. The only negative thing I can say is that the dining room is generally sloppy when I come. I know they are super busy and it's hard to keep up, so maybe they should hire someone who's focus is to make sure the dining room cleanliness is up to par. Tasteful tips: - Ask for double cheese on your animal fries. - Instead of onions try grilled onions on your sandwich. Food is good overall. Burgers aren't made as good as the Union City location, but still a better choice than the other fast food establishments in the area. Ordered a medium rare (just discovered you can get it done to your liking, even though it's just a fast food drive-thru) cheeseburger w/ extra spread & received a regular well-done burger with lite spread. Good thing I got a couple extra spread packets just in-case. Fries still suck (Mom finally saw the light & agreed that they suck) I was really craving a milkshake, but knew better than to order an In-N-Out one- Is it just me or do their milkshakes really taste like warm airy froth? There are moments when you go out to eat and peoples' hard work just stands out. Tonight my boyfriend and I went to In n Out Burger and dined in. This young lady named Taylor was on top of it! Literally noticing when people were waiting a little long for their food, notifying them how much longer until their food came out, cleaning up tables as soon as they weren't occupied, asking everyone if they needed anything, and after taking their food too them, asking if she could get them any ketchup or napkins. We literally felt like we were dining in a restaurant. Then she sees a family try to take a picture and offers to take it for them. I love in n out and have reviewed them in the past. I have also worked for in n out store #176 in Santa Clara. As much as I do love their food this was the first time I had bad service. The girl taking order was trying to be friendly and I respected that, not everyone has a good day. No problem there, it was when our groups food came out. Our burgers sat on the counter for a looong time before anyone bother calling it out and giving us fries, instead the fries worker and the driver thru worker were just chatting it up.. I watched then keep pulling out fries and letting them sit here and get cold enough to throw away.. It wasn't until I stepped up and got their attention and told them how the burgers we order are gonna be cold now bc no one has bother adding fries to the order or calling it out. The workers quickly apologize and tried to brush it off by saying that they were cooking the fries and became all embarrassed when I told them that I saw them throwing so many away that were just off the oil.. This has nothing to do with the food but rather the ineptness of the staff and management working the drive thru. You should not be allowing your drive thru line to block the entire entrance, backing up traffic onto Clover. There are other establishments in the same plaza, and I'm sure they would like their customers to gain entrance to the parking lot. Allowing cars to back up onto the street, while your staff take orders from the cars in the parking lot while not having them drive up to fill in the gap is unconscionable. There was a gap of at least four cars yesterday that were contributing to the street backup. Figure out how to manage your drive thru customers without inconveniencing other patrons who are trying to visit the other restaurants in the same plaza. read more

I never get home and look in the bag and say, "Darn, they forgot my fries...or I said, NO ONIONS..." The people they hire are professionals unlike many of the other fast food joints. Ok the review is not just for the burger but more for the quality of service. Yesterday I dropped in around 5Pm obviously it was pretty empty and staffs were having their usual off-time fun, ordered just ONE D-D Animal style and in the mean time the drive-thru got busy and our fun-loving relaxed staff jumped into action flipping burgers. They were enthusiastic and eagerly flipping around 10 orders in 15 min BUT the irony is my ONE burger was not ready yet simply because I ordered inside the restaurant and not from the drive-thru, after waiting for 15 min I went to the counter to enquire "Did I order something so special that ingredients are getting imported from somewhere" and the guy says "Oh u knw what the drive-thru is a priority". I was like it doesn't make sense at all and seeing me questioning this absurd practice my burger comes out in a flash to get me out as soon as possible. I didn't get the logic: Does drive-thru more preferable than in-house ? Do you think people who come in-house are lazy and have all the time in the world?
