    Raw salmon tandoori

If I could give zero stars I would. My salmon tandoori was raw. I had to double check to see if I ordered sushi or Indian. I had to recook it in my kitchen. When I finally got to eat it, it was insanely salty. The chat papri was the saddest I've seen. The chickpeas looked like they took it straight from the can and plopped sauces on top. I'm certain this place is still in business because it's the only Indian place in the area. What a waste of $50 in a world where gas $6 a gallon now. I should've just made top ramen. Save yourself.

    Paneer naan

To put it simply. This India Bistro is a letdown. I love Indian food, so I was really geared up to try here, but will likely be one and only visit. To start with the good - The naan is good, which could be said about most Indian places, but they have Paneer Naan which hit the spot and came out hot. Cocktails are only $10. I got a pomer-tini which is just as it sounds. Not too sweet, with a nice presentation. Now where did it all start to go wrong? Well India Bistro still seems to be getting a good portion of their business with Take-out and App delivery drivers. So, most of the stay people would be coming in and out to pick up food. This is fine, but there was no balance to checking on the actual diners seated. We sat for well over 10 minutes before anyone came over. The waiter was apologetic, but still. I got the 'Murgh Makhni' as recommended by the waiter, and I didn't see Tikka Masala. He said that this was 'like it'. I should've known right there but decided to go with it. This entree is described as "cooked" and I assume served in a cream sauce. You know with that gravy consistency you know with Tikka Masala. Yeah, this is nothing like that. This was like a chunky salsa or Pasta sauce. It seems to fit more the description of their Jalfraizies which is a sauce loaded with diced onions, etc. Either way this was a letdown and it seemed deceptive because I'm sure that waiter knows what Tikka Masala looks like. That ain't it. The Samosas were alright, but they're huge. I prefer 3-4 small ones than 2 huge ones. Smaller ones are better for dipping. The ambience is cut into by them having the news on. The volume is turned down, and I'm not against the news. I just don't think it fits an evening dinner out. The experience could've been way better and judging by the mixed reviews, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. If you're looking for Indian food. Skip this, go to Spice Waala nearby.

I went to the lunch buffet today and LOVED IT! You get the bang for your buck with the lunch buffet special for sure! $17.82 after tax for the lunch buffet and it includes a good amount of food. A really nice option if you are looking to try out Indian food for the first time but are unsure where to start. Aside from the food my experience with the service was top notch - my waiter always kept my water glass full and was quite friendly. He brought out HOT, mouth watering naan and overall I would definitely come back to this place.

This is one of mu neighbors favorite restaurants in our neighborhood. We had been on a walk and decided to have dinner it's close to home. My neighbor had her ho to the coconut curry chicken medium and had the Chicken Vindaloo one step up in spice as I like my dishes a little spicier than her but not so much that I can't taste the flavors. It was the perfect amount of kick for me came with basmati rice in beautiful bowls from India. The staff is friendly and were very accommodating they do a great job of taking care of those dining with the large amount of take out they do. Water glass was always full. The owner is so nice , definitely won't wait so long to return.

Never again. Ordered by accident. I thought the Uber app was showing me India Bistro (Roosevelt), which has been the best Indian food in north Seattle for years. Nope. It's this other India Bistro in Ballard, and it is a trash pit. Please just look at the photo of lamb "tikka masala." I have eaten tikka masalas for 20+ years. They are orange and creamy. This is red and not creamy. This is basically marinara sauce with some Indian spices. What on earth? And the lamb was tough and chewy. Tikka masala is one of the most popular Indian dishes at any restaurant. How do you mess it up? The saag paneer was better but still lifeless and lacking cream. Probably the best thing was the Peshawari naan. You have so many better Indian food choices in town. Do not do this to yourself.

The mango chicken was heavenly! The cost was fair and the taste amazing! Thank you Parking may be a challenge but it's worth it indeed.

Ordered delivery and was looking forward to some tasty carbs. Unfortunately the samosas and stuffed naan bread were both extremely bland. I've never had bland Indian food before. It's usually bursting with flavors of cardamom, clove, cinnamon, cumin, etc. I ended up adding my own seasonings and salt and using the provided dipping sauces to give the samosas and bread some flavor. The lamb biryani was better and had more flavor at least.

Nice ambience. Friendly service. Lots of options on the menu (not as many as Cheesecake Factory). I got the Chicken dish with spinach and medium hot - very flavorful. I also got a regular naan. Not much to it. If you want flavor maybe try the garlic naan. Overall, enjoyed my dinner. If you feel inclined, the also have cocktails. Which I didn't try. Dry January!

The food is very tasty and yummy. Not sure what we've got because the name is quite long but I think one of them is chicken tikka masala? Also garlic Naan bread. Can't remember the other one name. All of these are tasted amazing!

We wanted to find a cheap but food Indian buffet and this is a great option!! They rotate through their buffet menu and you can see the pictures for details. Their food selection had all the basics, many vegetarian options but only 2 chicken meat dishes this time. All the flavors were quite good. So I am a fan simply because the food is cheap and yummy even if the selection isn't as wide. But then again, what can you expect for the prices! I will definitely come back!

The seating area looks like it could handle a small stadium crowd, yet the flow is shockingly smooth. Even with hundreds of people inside, the buffet lines never feel chaotic -- unless lobster or crab legs appear, at which point all laws of physics and courtesy temporarily stop applying. The one real weak spot is the bathrooms. It's obvious the staff focuses their energy on flipping tables and keeping the buffet spotless, because the restrooms don't get the same attention. They're not disastrous, but they're definitely the least polished part of the experience. Large parties and celebrations are almost always happening -- sometimes several at once -- but they're impressively non‑disruptive. If you're going to do this I suggest a limited drink menu. Bottles & cans of beer and simple mixed drinks that don't take long to make. And for the wait for a table a couple that arrived after us was seated before us. As mentioned before a wait time sign would be a good idea. Also the host kept leaving the host stand and people would simply walk in. A sign saying wait to be seated would be good. Finally on to the food. The fish of the fish and chips were very small. More like nuggets than filets of fish. I had asked for an extra tartar sauce when placing our order and didn't receive it. Had to flag down a server to get another. Also ordered water we never received. The fried shrimp were tasty and while the bed of greens was a nice touch since we didn't receive silverware and there wasn't dressing it was a complete waste. I pointed out the trip hazard to a manger and she did cover it with a rug. This was a good temporary solution but watch out as your leaving that you don't trip.

So off we go to check it out. It's right off the freeway, I forget which one since I'm not driving. The buffet is located in a shopping center with lots of parking. I think there's a Thai restaurant across the parking lot from here. We go in and wow, this is a nicer buffet than most other one's I've been to. The dining area is very large and clean. I see the prices on a sign. Looks like about $30 for dinner, plus they add the tip of 10%. I guess that's about standard to leave for a tip at a self serve buffet. We get seated and head up to the buffet. Looks like they have a big sushi section and a Mongolian grill section as well. Looking at all the food, I'd say the quality is better than most buffet I go to in CA. The dishes just look better. I'm gonna say in general, the food in the Seattle is a higher quality and more foodie oriented than down where I live. I even tried some of the sushi and it was seemed as good as any all you can eat place. Normally sushi at a buffet is something I avoid. I had ribs and some shellfish seafood and various other American Chinese foods. I did see a few more authentic dishes that I couldn't exactly tell what it was, so I guess it means it was authentic! The price was a little higher than what I'm used to, but the quality and size of the buffet made it worth it.

The dim sum area was also mostly empty. Chicken feet, shrimp dumplings, and other items were gone for long stretches, and some dishes looked like they hadn't been refreshed in a while. Several entrées were empty and not refilled promptly. They also charge extra for soda, coffee, and tea, which adds even more to the cost. If you live on the Eastside and want Chinese food with some sushi without driving far, this place is convenient. But if you have time, I'd skip this and go to Feast Buffet in Renton -- it's much bigger, has way more variety, includes drinks in the price.

My son graduated and I made reservations here in advance and called to ask about a table for 10, and if they could accommodate us and they said they could. Great! And I separately called about wanting to bring cupcakes and if that was allowed and they were cool with that, so super! It is one of my son's favorite spots so when the evening arrived, we got to the restaurant only to be led to a table that seated 6 in one corner and 4 kitty corner from that table. So...a family gathering had to be split, with 4 of us not even being at the same table as my son-including me. Mom. And in order to be close to him I sat with my back turned from him. Not ideal at all. So I was definitely miffed by this. I approached someone about it-not sure if he's the manager or not but he was very apologetic about it and said that they don't have seating for 10 at one table. But they tried their best by putting us all in the corner together. Not the same thing unfortunately as we could not all celebrate or converse all together. I told him that I had called specifically asking if they could accommodate 10 and I was assured they could but I did not know I had to ask "at the same table?". They should have been forthcoming that it would be at two different tables otherwise I would have made a reservation elsewhere for the celebration. What could I do but just accept his apology? But then, with a party of 10, I would think we would get extra attention but I guess since tip is already included after 5 in a party, they just called it in because I had to ask for more plates, more napkins, spoons, & water because the setting at the table was for 2, and we had 4. No one even asked us if we needed any more broth nor did they ever come to ask if anyone wanted a refill of the AYCE meats. Not that we could eat anymore but no one even offered. And, since everyone had to order the same meat plates, and one person wanted the wagyu, we all had to get wagyu at our table. Doesn't seem fair to me especially when they don't even offer more but I guess that's policy. When my son and I come in by ourselves, they are very attentive and always ask us if we need more of anything. But it was hard to find anyone to come to our table. They never checked on us after they brought the broth and meats the one time. So let me say I was very upset that the tip was included because really, no one served us unless we asked for more things. No one checked on us. Then I had to go and find someone so we could pay our bill. They apologized again for not seating us together but what could I say at that point? I'm not going to make a scene but it ruined a special night when all of the family couldn't sit together. Very disappointed with this visit especially when it's one of our fave places and we frequent it often and spent a good amount of $ that night with 10 people.
