Hate to leave a review like this - but I'm very disappointed in my most recent visit. I received a text to get 50% off my drink for my birthday. The kiosk where I where enter my number for rewards also showed 50% off. Your barista gave me 15%. I showed her the text and she said nope she has no way of honoring that reward and there is no one who can do anything. So I left without my drink. I've always frequented Intentional Coffee because of the good coffee and friendly staff, but that really didn't sit well that an employee wouldn't honor the discount and just didn't seem to care at all. read more

Chill place that wasn't packed at all when I went with a few friends on a Thursday afternoon. Lots of parking. You can order via kiosk or at the counter but I opted to order via kiosk. At the end of my order placement, I noticed a charge of $0.18 for a convenience fee. Not a big monetary deal but I had no idea what this charge was for and it seemed a bit unwarranted. Didn't bother to bring it up since I didn't want to seem petty but I'd advise ordering at the counter and seeing if you get charged anything extra there. Total price was around $6.50 for my chai latte with almond milk. Reasonable prices for this day and age although I wish alternative milk was less than $1. Staff was pretty nice. I realized after my visit that this place has a lot of good sandwiches that people have been reviewing so I'm likely to come back to try some of those but I'll probably be ordering at the counter. read more

I went into this cafe expecting great coffee based on previous ratings, but was disappointed by the drink I ordered. I ordered an iced vanilla latte which is very simple with its flavors but it tasted nothing like vanilla or coffee. I could have ordered something too simple so should have tried another drink, so take my review with a grain of salt. The barista also came off a little bit snarky as I ordered through doordash to pick up but was unaware that I needed to show them my order as it was my first time using this system. I think what she said to me could've been said in a kinder tone as she may have assumed I knew what I was doing when in reality it was a simple misunderstanding on my end. read more

Thank you, YELP!!!! We're in the area celebrating our 40th anniversary and love looking for GOOD coffees and Lattes! I'm so thankful for Yelp and Yelp users who give great feedback. This place was good. It's in an unassuming place with plenty of seating inside and out. However, within 15 minutes, the place filled up. So glad we got a good spot. I ordered the sugar-free hazelnut latte (hot)) with oat milk, and my wife ordered the iced sugar-free latte. My wife also ordered the Kokonut Pudding! The latte was HOT!!! Yay! This is not often my experience with coffee shops (I'm an amateur home barista, so I know what I like (I'm not an expert, and my latte art could be better, lol). My drink was yummy and not overly sweet. My wife's iced latte was also equally good! It was yummy, and the ice/latter proportion was perfect (not too much ice, so it didn't get watered down). The Kokonut pudding was AMAZING. Again, it wasn't sweet, had an excellent coconut taste, and was iced cold. By the way, it's dairy-free (The ingredients are coconut water, coconut milk, filtered water, gelatin, and cane sugar). The texture is like jello (gelatinous) because of the gelatin, but not in a weird way. Lastly, the barista who helped us was really friendly and welcoming, which was a big bonus! This place was a bit offputting. Very few gluten free options. In fact, the only substantive GF option, an açai bowl, they don't keep stocked or make fresh to order so I settled for an unfilling coconut pudding (not bad, not great). Additionally, they don't offer sugarfree syrups so I found this place less customizable. The server took my order well enough, but when I asked about the wifi not working, they seemed to just... dodge the question. And weird policies. " Accepts only exact change for cash." - listen, this place is not busy enough to deny money in any form. They do have a long bar against the window you can stand at and work at so props for that ambiance addition. read more

Came here because they have kokonut, but definitely not a vibey area. Kinda dingy inside and outside of the coffee shop. Went in and the service felt unwelcoming. Ordered two kokonuts, they have a small selection, and the front cashier didn't even offer the dried coconut that comes with it until asked. Didn't feel any personality or kindness. Visited this place because I've driven past it a ton of times and wanted to try a new coffe place. When you walk in you're met with a friendly staff and welcoming environment. I really like the kiosk that gives you a ton of customization options for whatever drink you choose. The disappointment came with the drinks my girlfriend and I ordered. I ordered the kyoto cold brew w/ oatmilk and hazelnut flavoring and she got the strawberry lemonade. I'll give this place the benefit of the doubt because they have a ton of options and maybe kyoto cold brew just isn't for me. I should have looked into what kyoto cold brew is like. It had a significant fruity note that overpowered the coffee flavor for me and was just not my thing. The strawberry lemonade on the other hand tasted like a lemonade mixed with strawberry jam. It was sweet but artificially tasting without any freshness or sourness that you would get from real strawberries. I would still come back and try something different like a simple latte to better feel out the menu. Seems like a nice place to get a coffee and study or catch up with friends. read more

My list of OC coffee spots continues to grow. Entered around 5 PM on a Wednesday to a notably comforting atmosphere, great smells, and plenty of seating. I was helped immediately and ordered the turkey pesto panini along with a iced lavender latte no adjustments - $13 total. A lot of the decorations appear (I see you, repurposed glass bottle vases) to be handmade here, which combined with the very warm lighting makes for a one of a kind ambiance. Food took under 10 minutes to come out with no line. Turkey Pesto Panini: came out piping hot and with a great crunch, definitely can't go wrong with this if you're craving a mini meal and it's cold outside. Lavender Latte: neither flavor drowned out the other but definitely on the sweeter side. Nothing out of the ordinary but a solid choice. We are visiting from out of town and our GPS led us to Intentional Coffee. What a divine experience! The shop was cozy and cute with good seating. The matcha was creamy and the iced Spanish latte was perfection. Our group enjoyed a cinnamon roll, açaí bowl, avocado toast, and a monte cristo sandwich. Nice, short and simple review. I walk by this place almost every day and today I was compelled to try it out. Simply put the waffle and coffee I ordered was beyond delicious. I've always wanted to try this place because I always drive by but for some reason never stop. Today was a sunny rainy day and seemed like the perfect time. As I walked in it was nice and cozy, there were a few people studying in there so it was rather quiet. Which was nice. I love how they recycled bottles as plant vases I thought that was super cute. There are big windows so it's super bright in there and I was able to see a rainbow. I ended up ordering a SMALL STEAMED MATCHA LATTE with ALMOND MILK. I chose to try this place because it was down the street from the beginner archery class we were about to take. I mainly chose it for their matcha latte, but I also ordered the Madagascar vanilla latte, a cold brew, and a strawberry milk. I ordered for pick up through uber eats, and they had it ready for me at the counter, they just had to add the ice in before I left. They accidentally made me a strawberry latte instead of a strawberry milk for my kids, and they were nice enough to let me keep the latte, and they remade my strawberry milk. Iced ceremonial matcha: 8/10 it wasn't too sweet, and the matcha flavor was absolutely there. I would get it again, but I wish they had other matcha flavor options Madagascar vanilla bean latte: 10/10 this was absolutely delicious! I was actually really surprised because I was expecting it to taste like just another vanilla latte. Honey cream cold brew: 6/10 didn't really taste the honey or cream. Tasted just like a cold brew with a splash of milk. Would pass on this next time. White chocolate strawberry milk: 10/10 kids loved it of course. I like that it wasn't too crazy sweet. I like that it was a white chocolate strawberry milk instead of just a strawberry milk like other places usually have. White chocolate strawberry latte: 10/10 I actually was between this and the matcha for myself, but I'm glad we got this accidental drink. It was so yummy. You wouldn't think the strawberry would work, but it does. It is on the sweeter side, though, but I really enjoyed this one more than I did my matcha. Would get this again read more

I really love this place and never had bad experiences but the new staff they have in the morning have no clue what they're doing. I ordered a chamomile tea and it took over 20 min. Came with my daughter here today . It was a nice coffee spot with plenty of seating inside and it has a little seating area outside. Since we hadn't been here before we took time to look at the menu. I decided to go with the iced Spanish latte and my daughter ordered the iced Masala chai latte. My latte was good , but something was missing in the taste. I tried my daughter's masala chai and that was pretty tasty , I think I would have preferred her drink. I also ordered a Swiss and ham croissant. The croissant was nice and toasted and it was pretty good. They also have pre made sandwiches, and other premade stuff. The staff were very nice and helpful. This is a cozy small spot for a cup of coffee and something to munch on. The staff were friendly which I always appreciate I love the friendly atmosphere. Ordered 2 lattes, scone and tomato basil panini. Omg the panini was absolutely delicious it had so much flavor every bite was worth it. It's a small spot with abundant parking that is free. The prices are fair as well and their menu selection is limited but it's good that way as they keep it unique I think to what they specialize in. read more

Sure enough tastes more like milk with a hint of matcha than it does a matcha latte. Made me so angry that I tossed it out and drove 5 minutes to little ox for a proper drink instead. When ordering my Cold Brew I was asked if I would like Bolivian, Mexican, or a 6 part Bolivian / 1 part Mexican (not kidding!) Cold Brew. Me not knowing much about the different coffees told the barista to surprise me, and she did not disappoint with her selection (it was Mexico). The cold brew was strong, but had a pleasant taste to it. I would rank it as probably in my top 5 cold brew right now. The wife said her Vanilla Latte was on point, and would rank it in her top 5 as well. The coffee here is probably the strongest I ever had omg. I got coffee around 5:30pm and I couldn't sleep till 5am LOL this was a bad decision on my part, but really well worth to be caffeinated since I needed a lot of energy for the rest of my events for the night. The latte itself, I could already tell it would be strong by tasting the first few sips, but it was also pretty good! The atmosphere here is also very cozy, the seating is a bit tight, but there are a good amount of open spots to get comfortable. The cashier/barista was also very friendly! I didn't really get the chance to really talk to her for my order since there was a kiosk right at the door. Intentional is near my work and I always see it but never go. I decided to go today and I see myself coming back often! 1. Spanish Latte (4/5): I got the spanish latte and substituted whole milk for macadamia milk and it was good. It wasnt the best spanish latte i've ever had but I did enjoy it! I think i'd try a different flavored latte next time! 2. Grilled Cheese (10/5): Honestly you can't really mess up a grilled cheese but they by far surpassed my expectations. You're reading this like girl ... its bread and cheese ... But NO , it was so good. I will be returning EXCLUSIVELY for their grilled cheese! So much cheese , so warm , did you see the cheese pull in my photo ?? 3. I got pastries for my co workers! What a joke! I always appreciate small coffee shop and there are many around Fullerton. I remember going there when they first opened but haven't been there in years and after today's visit I remembered why! This place is a joke! Ordered large matcha latte $7.95 and I also tipped 15% but I am totally regretting this visit! First of all, I asked for extra hot but the drink was definitely not extra hot Latte tasted so watered down but what's appalling is the size of large. I had to ask the barista if this was a large.... The overall ambience is old and dirty....not what you would Expect at an over priced local shop! But all can be forgiven if my drink tasted awesome but it failed me.
