Very responsive and they seem to have done good work for me overall. Pricing is insanely high and was recommended to do fluid changes way before they were due. After initially agreeing for them to do work, I called back ten minutes later to put a hold, but was told it was too late fluids were already being changed. What was a recommended $800 service bill at a Porsche dealership was a recommended $12,500 bill at intersport. Porsche dealership who did my initial inspection, disagreed on most of the work they did for me calling it unnecessary. Recently had my car serviced at the Ashburn location for the major 80K service for my 2014 Porsche Cayman Base. I was quote $2K for this major service, which was expected and around the ball park as I've done this service before at another indie shop at 40K miles ($1,800 there). What was supposed to be a $2K service quickly turned out to be more expensive because they will upsell you on their insanely expensive fluid change services that I knew ahead of time wasn't necessary to do (parts and labor) @ $178.00/hour: 1.) Brake Fluid Flush: $212 2.) Transmission Fluid Flush: $221.21 3.) Coolant Flush: $633.82 I'll caveat saying that I got these regardless because the car is my daily driver and I planned to keep it for a long time, but I don't recommend coming to this place again. This is the stereotypical car shop visit where they will tell you that you have more stuff you need to replace, even if you don't need to and you can tell that if you decline some of their recommendation, they sounded disappointed as it feels like they're fishing on how much more they can tack onto your bill. Disclaimer: I was a former service advisor at a dealership before so I'm no stranger on the true cost of labor hours and the commission I received from upselling stuff, but this is predatory at worst and a rip off at best. read more

Porsche oriented shop that offers services for other brands as well. Aside from service work, they also do performance enhancements, evidenced by several race prepped 911's outside the shop. I came in as I was hearing some grinding noises from the front of my 911. I posted on various forums my issue and the online consensus was a wheel bearing issue. When I brought my car in, Omar greeted me and offered to drive around right away in an effort to quickly diagnose the problem as the internet is not always correct. Off we went, first with me driving and later with Omar behind the wheel. Both times with windows down at various speeds with Omar hanging out the windows straining to listen for the noises I described. Indeed it was the wheel bearing. Not only verified by Omar's ear, but also the tech who later removed the wheel. I appreciated the personal and immediate attention with an off the cuff diagnosis. It says a lot when an owner is personally involved in all aspects of their business. Bearings were replaced and they did a full look over the car to make sure everything else was fine. After finding no additional issues, I returned and drove off happy as a clam. read more

Please be very wary of this place. I had a very bad experience. I spoke with one of the mechanics who himself had poor opinions on this place and how they do business. I also have a friend who knows one of the mechanics well and speaks of unscrupulous practices. Brought my 2014 Panamera in for battery replacement and engine warning light issue. I received a phone call saying my rear spoiler wasn't working and needed to be repaired even though I had literally closed it when I dropped the car off. By the way it works perfectly as it always has. I was told a 3 hour diagnostic needed to be ran on the emissions system to determine the engine warning light problem. I okayed the test only to learn afterwards that it cost me $2,700 and I was told that the problem "might" be a carbon filter, a bad gas cap or "something else". When I picked the car up my total bill was around $5K without resolution of the engine light issue. When I expressed concern about the bill the rep began to read to me line by line the cost. I told him I didn't need him to read to me, I wanted an explanation of why the bill was so expensive. He arrogantly snapped at me and said I should have asked the cost before the work was done. BTW, I replaced the gas cap myself and no longer have an engine light issue. read more

The entire crew at Intersport in McLean VA are straightforward and honest. They proved to be highly skilled and knowledgeable in resolving any variety of mechanical problems associated with old Porsches. The mechanics at Intersport quickly and correctly diagnosed a failing IMS bearing in my otherwise pristine and beloved 986 Porsche Boxster (1998); saving my car's engine from total self-destruction. Prior to proceeding with carrying out any repair work only, they conducted exhaustive physical analysis of the problem. After completing their analysis, they carefully and clearly explained the entire scope of mechanical issues with me. Intersport then advised a quality repair strategy at a fair price. They further suggested and did additional steps to even better insure a "perfect" and long lasting repair. My Boxster now runs like a dream and should continue to do for a long, long time. I have owned a 1995 993 for over 15 years, but sold it for the last year they made the 997 and bought a 2012 C4S. I just miss the way a 993 handles, so I called these guys about a 993 C4S. The asked about a trade and I said I was interested, but wanted the VIN#. I told them I would bring my C4S in later in the afternoon so they could see it, but they said we needed to come in close to the trade in otherwise we could be wasting time, and I told them if we couldn't agree on a trade in value I would just pay cash for their C4S. I recently bought my first Porsche 911 S from Intersport. This was a big moment and a big expenditure as well. I had a hard time finding a manual and other dealerships were either overpriced or were not trustworthy. Luckily, I contacted Omar from Intersport and he responded honestly and quickly, prices were at or below market - no price games, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - all the things that he told me ended up being completely true. Even with the above I was still paranoid and asked him to do a PPI. He told me the car was perfect but I insisted on the PPI. The car got a perfect score just like he said and he shipped it for a great price. I ended up finding out my friend from high school also bought a 911 from him afterwards and he had the same experience. I see a few negative ads on here but I actually went through the process and bought a car as well as others that I know and this dealership is legit and fair. I am picking up an Audi tomorrow and I have been dealing with Matthew Caskey. Hopefully it's a smooth process. We found the car on the Internet and flew from the south to come look and purchase the car. Prior to settling on a price, Matthew went over the car with me and Matthew informed me there was no rust and no issues with the car. He has been very helpful. I can't wait to see the car. We will see if it's in the shape that I think it's in. Also, since we were out of town they did not offer financing. Be prepared to do your own legwork, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Matthew worked very hard to make sure we knew every feature the car had to offer. After our test drive, we came back and signed the paperwork and was gone in 20 minutes. Nothing could be scarier than wiring a hefty sum of money to the other side of the country without even looking at the car nor talking to the salesman in person. Yet, I got my first 911 and the best 911 to my satisfaction, literally online, from Intersport. I came across this highly optioned example and I was too busy to go down there to see it. Matt and Omar handled all my questions, concerns and requests about the car remotely: inspection, service history, pricing, warranty, shipping, titling, etc. They are patient, honest and true frogmobile lovers. A million things could have gone wrong with the transaction, however the process couldn't be any smoother and here I am writing this review after having enjoyed the car for a month. They could have closed the transaction and called it a day, however after one month Matt still kept sharing with me tips to look out for, to enjoy the most out of and to take care of the car. I have brought two cars to Intersport over the last year or so, and I have been very happy with their service. On my BMW, about a year ago, they did a bunch of standard maintenance - brakes, 45k service, tires, a xenon headlight, and a few other things. The repairs were done quickly and for about what the dealer would have charged, though I felt much more comfortable working with these guys than I ever did with the shady BMW dealers in the area. I brought my 911 Turbo in yesterday for an oil change and a small repair that they told me wasn't actually necessary (love the honesty). They found a couple small suspension issues that needed addressing, but their approach was very low-pressure, and they acknowledged that the issue wasn't urgent. Tony called several times over the two days to keep me up to date on the work. The car was returned clean and on time, and the suspension feels great now. The small suspension issues were not cheap by any means, but good Porsche mechanics don't exactly compete on price (and you wouldn't bring a car like that to one who did). In both cases, Omar, Tony, and Jason were incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. I look forward to continuing to work with these guys. read more

If you drive a Porsche and live in Tysons Corner, there are very few options you have when it comes to servicing your vehicle. In fact two years ago, I though that there was only one option...HBL. After being treated like like half a person for a couple of years by HBL I decided to explore other options and ran into Intersport. They were right under my nose, but are a little hard to find because they do not have street frontage. They maintain and service high enders like BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche. The folks here are really nice and treat you like a real person. Not everyone who drives a Porsche is rich OK. Maybe you saved up a long time and it is your baby. Such was the case with me. i don't have that tree in the backyard that I can pick off of whenever I need to. And if anyone knows where I can get one...I'm all ears : ) HBL treated me badly, like I did not deserve to be there, and charged me exorbitant prices. Intersport treated me with respect and charged me very little when I compared the same maintenance services and repairs. It was a simple decision, and I am sticking with Intersport for life. read more

Summary: excellent customer service, awesome selection, great group of folks. I was in the market for a late model Porsche 911. I was amazed at the lack of selection at the four area Porsche dealers--they only had a few 911s, and none of them to the exact spec I was looking for. Furthermore, I wanted to drive the cars to find out what was important to me (PDK vs Tip, base or S, Sport Chrono, Cabrio, C2 vs C4). That's a tough sell for a dealer if they don't know how serious you are. I stumbled upon Intersport by accident, and was amazed at their inventory! I called and spoke to Omar, who invited me to come by and check out the cars. My wife and I stopped by and kicked some tires, and returned a week later to take some test drives. Intersport could not have been more accommodating. All of the cars are kept inside a showroom, and in order to drive some cars, they had to re-arrange several others for us. I believe we drove 4 cars that day. We were encouraged to drive around by ourselves until we were comfortable. We ended up picking one that we had never considered based on our research--we thought it was too far out of our reach. Any time I buy a car, I feel like I have to gear up to do battle. Not the case with Andy! I laid out some of the parameters I had; he wrote up the deal, and it was perfect. No back and forth, no games, no hassle. We drove it home that day, and then brought it back on a weekday for inspection and emissions. I wanted a universal audio interface installed, and I had one maintenance concern with the car. Omar handled both; charging me standard rates for the audio interface and fixing the maintenance issue for free. Keep in mind: if this is your first European performance car, everything costs more than it does on your Chevy or Toyota! It's kind of crazy, but experience and research leads me to the conclusion that the service prices from Intersport are fair. Plus, from what I read on Porsche forums, their main tech is legendary. They're not a huge operation, so you have to work with their schedule. But the personal service, relationship, and sense of ownership they take in your car is worth the inconvenience. I took my car to VA tire and auto in one loudoun to get an inspection on my car. While I was getting my car inspected i receive a call from them telling me i needed to change my tires. So i let them. BIG mistake. the mechanic that switched my tires did not screw in the bolts properly and when I brought it into intersport, they were about to come off. Thankfully Ivan at the Ashburn site was able to help me and tighten the screws quickly and easily. No one else i'll bring my car to to get it fixed. read more

I bought a car here in March 2004... a 1996 Lexus ES 300. Car was fine, found a minor chip on the driver side mirror no real big deal. Found out later they photoshopped (airbrushed) the photo on the ad on the internet. The chip was blurred away.. you wouldn't notice it unless you knew where to look. Brought my Audi RS4 here a few weeks ago and kudos to Intersport. I heard about these guys from a co-worker that brings his Porsche's to these guys all the time. Omar took care of my new stede from the get-go with a great advise on what needed to be done, what should be done and what can wait (but keep an eye on it). they had the car for 4 days and communication was great (Art's the man...walked me through everything made some great suggestions for future tunes and improvements on an already fast car) and really did not get too many upsells at the end except for a new battery. But with good the comes the pricey..expect to pay a little more (especially with the parts dept....get your own if you can and you must hunt of any performance part uncless your car is a porsche....they could've upgraded my parts but did not give me an option) than your average corner station but then again who would trust their trusty German car to said corner station. read more

DONT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THESE GUYS. i had my audi tt looked at this shop and battery changed. they came up with bunch of unnecessary repairs that had to be done. ( i took it to the dealer and they werent necessery. When i took it to the dealer after 5 months, they told me that bunch of screws and panels are missing. you had to take some screws and panels to reach the battery to change. The owner is very rude and responsive. Even gas station repair shops are better than these guys. oh by the way ofcourse they charged me over any way they can. read more

I've used Intersport twice now for parts replacement (Rotor, Brakes, Starter, Battery) and engine maintenance (Schedule II) for my BMW 325i '03, and they have been great experiences. Omar and his crew took good care of me and my car. Oh, they are reasonably priced too for good quality work. Called about a Porsche 911 Turbo which I was interested in. Horrible customer service, they told me to come down but refused to allow a test drive of the car until we finalized negotiating price. Completely backwards policy but the worst part was their not explaining their process ahead of time. The car also happens to be priced roughly 10% above market value and has been in their inventory for over a year. Had I known the policy and their lack of willingness to discuss a reasonable price range I would not have wasted time driving over to see them. read more

Don't walk away from this shop --run! I took my car in last year for an electrical issue. To their credit, they were able to identify the issue and fix it in a timely manner. After the fix, Omar asked me if I had a few minutes to discuss other issues with the car. He indicated that I had a multitude of issues with my car, some needing immediate attention. The sum total of the issues was ~$8500. The issues needing immediate attention were ~$4500. I initially told Omar to fix the things that needed immediate attention. (however, I called back within the hour to say "no" I'll just pick up the car). I felt like something wasn't right. When I went to pick up the car he told me he had to charge a 10% restocking fee for the parts he just ordered. I questioned the validity of that claim and he got heated and insulted me. Having serious doubts with his assessment, I chose to go for a second and third opinion. Both shops indicated that none of the fixes he recommended were in need of repair. Here's a partial list of the issues: Lower control arm bent badly (turns out it wasn't bent at all - that's how they're supposed to be shaped!), Thrust arm ball bushing, motor and transmission mounts collapsed, replace shocks and struts, etc... I considered calling the BBB to report this guy, but I figured word-of-mouth and never returning was good enough. I'm a busy person and this is my first yelp review of any sort. But I guess I'm still on their email list and they asked for a review...so here it is. I suppose if you buy a Porsche from Omar and do everything he recommends, you're treated with respect. But, otherwise, you're likely funding his racing aspirations. No thanks. I would never return to this shop or buy a car from this dishonest man. read more

I bought my Porsche here a few months back. I was not impressed with the service. When I arrived to test drive the car the person who I had arranged the test drive with was unable to take me and I was sent out with someone that had no experience or knowledge of the car. I basically knew I wanted it so I ended up purchasing the car anyways. But when I went to pick it up there was a chip in the windshield, the car was on empty and there was only one key that came with it (these run $400) I was told that it had just had an oil change and there were new tires on it. When I took it to the Porsche dealership a couple months after purchasing it they told me that the oil was dirty and it needed new tires. When I went back to Intersport to let them know this they told me that was my problem and that they had given me a good deal. It doesn't matter what deal you give someone if you lie to them!!! They are also tied in with a superior tuner- Behe Performance. If you a serious Porsche fanatic, like I am, this is the place to go. If you need an oil change, go to Jiffy Lube. If you need comprehensive and highly skilled suspension work or a complex engine repair on a 911 rear main seal, this is the best place to go bar none. read more
