Hungry post Broadway show, we stumbled in here when we saw it across the bar our friends were at. Not the cheapest NY pizza but also not the worst tasting. Inside had some seating and it was clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pizza was about $3 a slice. We got margarita and pepperoni. They were huge and great for a dinner serving. I loved that it was fresh and ready. Pizza is middling, but the big problem is they're dishonest (more below). If you're looking for quality you'd be better off across 9th at one of their new places or 4 blocks up at the dollar slice place - far better sauce and crust. I happened to make an online order for pickup (the place further uptown was in the wrong direction and usually busy, for good reason). I arrived to pickup my pizza, even a few minutes late, and when asked the person at the desk said they had no order for that name. They checked with coworkers and had nothing on record. They then checked their fax machine (which is a whole different level of nonsense) and discovered my order and told me they could make it but it would 15 minutes. Obviously one does not make orders in advance to sit at a humid, sticky pizza place. I told them to skip it and just cancel the order. The response - "We can't." "Why not?" "We can't, but you can." "There's no way to cancel an order that's already gone beyond pickup time - if there's any way at all. I'm sure you can if you ran out of something." "We can't." "I don't believe that." "Well ok I can but I have to call my manager." I told the gentleman at the desk to call his manager and get it done. On my way out I checked the confirmation email from Get Sauce (their e-commerce provider) and the reply address was a Support@ address, not a no-reply address, so I dropped them a line while still on the corner. The rep who answered said they'd look into it. A full week later I got a reply from Get Sauce - they claim the restaurant "confirmed they prepared the order after having tablet issues and the order was not picked up. Food was made" which is absolutely not the case. I can forgive missing an order - it's a busy Saturday night, etc. etc. But lying about it to a service provider over a $30 pizza bill - that's absurd and bad business. read more

DO NOT eat here no matter what. I wouldn't even drop 1 star if I I was able to. Don't eat here if you're drunk or event hungry and starving. Anywhere would take care of you better. I'm on spring break and they're telling us "crispy crunchy wings", but the fries are old and the chicken sand which doesn't even have chicken, the one thing I needs. I had the buffalo chicken pizza. Sauce was above average but the chicken was pretty dry. The Parmesan chicken sandwich was pretty good!

I was really craving some penne alla vodka and stopped in to have some pasta. I was a little nervous but it was amazing. I added chicken to it and loved it. I will definitely be back to eat here. I also had the pizza and it was tasty. You can't go wrong with the pizza or pasta but they do have other options as well such as chicken tenders, wings, Philly cheese steaks and other sandwiches. If I could take another star away I would. We ordered pizza and the entire thing was destroyed upon delivery. We called the restaurant to let them know what had happened and the person on the line hung up the phone. The only thing he let us know was that the pizza was made first thing in the morning, and we ordered it at 8pm. A Tostitnos frozen pizza would have been 100x's better. So today is the 4th of July, and what better way to celebrate than to eat what has become America's favorite food pizza? Sure its originally Italian, but it was here where the classic triangle slice of pizza was perfected!! So I was walking around Hell's Kitchen when I came across this place. Its pretty unassuming and at first you might just dismiss it as another regular mom & pop pizza place. But this is where you'd be missing out! I Pizza NY uses all fresh ingredients, from the tomatoes to the cheese. They offer a wide selection of pies from all vegetarian to all meat, and they even offer the Margherita pie. I decided to go for the classic NY slice, but with my own personal twist. I ordered a regular slice and then also added both extra tomato sauce AND extra cheese. A regular slice never has enough sauce and certainly not enough cheese for my liking, hence why I always make my special order this way. You guys should try it you will LOVE IT! read more

Not sure why this is at 3 but I'm giving it a solid 5. We stumbled upon this place when the restaurant down a few doors down had a 30 min wait. It was 2pm and I had my 5 and 7 year old with me so we needed to keep moving. So glad we found this place! It was empty and definitely ranks towards the top of my favorite pizza list. Pretty decent pizza joint! They have seating and take out. I had the small chicken cutlet calzone and it was far from small. I even had some left over. The calzone was fresh, made to order which I appreciate. I also tried the spaghetti Alfredo with grilled chicken and it was great. Needed a lot of extra parm cheese to amp the flavor and the pasta actually tasted better warmed up the next day. Super cheesy and buttery. I Pizza NY defies the traditional rating structure, but 3.5 stars seems reasonable. I tend not to like combination places - pizza and burgers, pizza and bagels - so the pizza and cheesesteak emphasis didn't grab me. Stranger still, this appears to be a franchise of Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which claims to provide a Cajun-themed product. Sure enough, I Pizza NY sells jambalaya. It doesn't look like the picture. It was probably the weakest link the strange sampler I assembled. As for the chicken, the wing seemed liked it would have better many hours earlier but the breast was stunningly good, something that would pass a blind taste test against many of NYC's more upscale fowl purveyors. This is a "pizza by the slice" kind of place (although they do sell whole pizzas as well) and my wife an I each ordered a slice of their cheeseburger pizza. The cheeseburger pizza was very good and 3 slices between us was plenty - nice size slices of pizza. The place doesn't have a lot of atmosphere but seems typical of a lot of small Manhattan eateries. The food was good, the service was good and the price was very reasonable.
