Decent burger shack in the Malibu area. I visited this casual eats spot around 1pm on a Saturday and it was decently busy. They are located in a shopping area, so there's a parking lot, but it can get pretty busy. You order outside through the window and the staff will call you to pickup your meal on the intercom. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The have an outdoor seating area as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the Irv's Original Roadside Double and it was a good, standard burger. The burger was pretty hefty, juicy, and meaty. It had a savory and charred flavor. The buns were also soft and pillowy. The fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. They weren't too salty nor too plain which I liked. Overall, a solid combo. However, I would pay $15 rather than $20 for this since it just seemed like a standard burger combo, nothing extraordinary to justify the higher price. Overall, a decent experience here. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a burger from here again and would opt for something cheaper like In-N-Out. However, the burger wasn't bad and I would eat it again if someone gave it to me.

My sister's in town, so we rolled up to Malibu and stumbled into IRv's -- and let me tell you, it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, the setup is adorable. Walking up to the front window gave me major boardwalk vibes -- like Wildwood, New Jersey, or the county fair -- but elevated. Clean, cute, and just... charming as hell.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a protein-style burger (because bread and I are taking a break), and it was genuinely good. Juicy, satisfying, no drama. But what really made the experience? The people. Vicky was an absolute gem -- warm, welcoming, just effortlessly kind. The guy working with her was also amazing, and I feel like a jerk for not getting his name because he was just as lovely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside with the sea breeze rolling in, eating our food like life was simple and good -- because in that moment, it honestly was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] IRv's gave big "this is why we live in California" energy. Highly recommend if you want chill vibes, great service, and a side of sunshine with your burger.

This is the best burger I've had in a really long time. I feel as though a lot of places try to do one too many things when it comes to a burger and end up taking away from what makes a burger great rather than adding to it, this place does no such thing. Solid burger, great quality and off the charts flavor. The service was great, everything we asked for (extra pickle, adding bacon) was given, no mistakes nor complaints. Vicky/Vickie aka 'Grill Daddy' did her big one with these burgers. Oh so good and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

This is by far one of the best fast food experiences I've had, my server Viki was attentive kind and full of joy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the ambiance of this location, the open kitchen you can see all the cooks on the line laboring love into the meals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a turkey burger with a side of tater tots and ranch dressing. Everything was fresh and made with love. Will be returning for that Oreo milkshake and chili cheese fries.

roadside burger was sooo yummy. tater tots amazing. oreo milkshake was soooo good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]ate this on the beach in malibu and it hit so hard[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's just the size and presentation is nothing like the picture. I guess my expectations for a $13 tuna meal melt were different.

I order a vanilla shake and a tuna melt. The tuna melt was disappointing. The vanilla shake was good

The fries are FIRE!! Get ketchup, or Ranch. Hell, get both!

We brought our puppy so got to sit outside at a shared table. That was a nice setting and people are friendly. I had a taster of beer and tried to get some of their more award-winning brews. I would say there was nothing substantially great or substantially bad about them, kind of run-of-the-mill beers. For food, we got the Southwest salad, which I would say was big enough to serve the entire shared table of about six people. We also got the seared Ahi tuna sandwich, which I would say was delicious but I suspect it may have been the culprit of about three days of stomach issues. I also had the sweet potato fries with a couple of different dipping sauces. So either the tuna or the dipping sauces definitely carried some bacteria that caused issues for a couple of days. I sincerely hope it wasn't the ahi tuna sandwich because it was tasty. Overall, I have some mixed emotions on this place, but it was pretty good so I am willing to give it another chance.

Saw some videos on social media of their off the menu lobster caesar wrap-- and let me tell you in the video it had huge pieces of lobster but the wrap I received barely had any pieces of lobster and they were tiny pieces about half a penny each piece. It also dripped everywhere-- there was so much watery sauce it was making a pool in my container, all over my arms, and on the table. Not practical for eating and it was super disappointing seeing the large pieces of lobster they give to influencers and what they actually serve. Also it was super underwhelming in flavor. Would not get again. We also got oysters and those were way overpriced for mid tasting oysters. The ones at Whole Foods are better than this. I was expecting mind blowing and sweet oysters if they're going to charge nearly $50 a dozen. The uni was also extremely fishy and not creamy and succulent. It wasn't that expensive but it was mid. Lobster roll also had tiny portions of lobster that were rubbery. I expected it to be amazing for how much it costs-- again disappointed. The clam chowder might as well have been a roasted potato chowder. It was tan/brown colored and not creamy just grainy and full of potatoes. Didn't taste anything like clam chowder. The burger was decent just overpriced. Hard pass on this spot. All hype and not worth the $ to eat mid/disappointing food. Oh they also forgot our ice tea order and took forever to get someone to help us get it. Mehhhhhhh.

Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we were overlooked and left waiting due to poor organization. When we asked to speak with the manager, PABLO was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted us, ignored the fact that we had a reservation, and sent us back to the front desk instead of addressing the problem. Once we were finally seated, however, our server (Jorge) was excellent, and the food was outstanding. The waitstaff and kitchen clearly provide a wonderful dining experience. Our disappointment was not with the weather, but with the way the situation was handled. A manager should set the standard for customer service, and unfortunately, that did not happen here. Parking can be tight, the line usually wraps around the shack, and everyone is hungry. But don't let that scare you off--the food is absolutely worth the wait. I've been here three times now, and one thing has never changed: the 3-piece fried fish and fries is mandatory. The portions are huge, and I'm calling it now... the best fish and chips in Los Angeles. The fish is unbelievably crispy on the outside, perfectly flaky on the inside, and fried exactly the way it should be. I used to order the fried seafood combo, which comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Everything is good, but the fish and shrimp are the stars, so now I just order the fish and chips with fried shrimp à la carte. One item that deserves way more attention on Yelp is the ceviche. It's ridiculously fresh, loaded with flavor, and served with crispy fried tortilla chips. Honestly, I'd order it every visit. The clam chowder is good too, but the ceviche steals the spotlight. The lobster roll is another surprise. I love Broad Street Oyster Company's lobster roll, but it's over almost as soon as it starts. Malibu Seafood's version is much more generous while still being packed with fresh lobster. Don't sleep on the steamed mussels either. Order a pound for the table and make sure you save the bread for the broth. That broth alone is worth coming back for. I always finish it off with one of their fresh-squeezed lemonades--the perfect pairing after a day at the beach. Seating can take a little patience too, but that's part of the experience. Grab a table overlooking the ocean and PCH if you can. Fresh seafood, ocean breeze, and flip-flops still covered in sand... that's Malibu done right. No reservations. No fancy dress code. Just outstanding seafood in one of the best casual beachside spots around. I'll keep coming back.

Since the restaurant sits right off the highway, it has a lively, unique atmosphere. We ordered the Neptune's Net Sampler, which comes with a variety of fried seafood and fries. Overall, it was good. I've been to quite a few fish and chips restaurants, so I felt the fried fish was good but not the best I've had. The fried shrimp, however, was crispy and delicious. My favorite was the calamari--the batter was incredibly light, soft, and airy, almost like eating a cloud. One downside is that the restaurant isn't very dog-friendly. While there is an outdoor patio, dogs aren't allowed in that area. The website mentions outdoor tables where dogs are welcome, but we couldn't find them, so we ended up eating in the parking lot instead. Another surprise was the $5 parking fee. They didn't charge for parking on previous visits, so that was a bit disappointing and one of the reasons I gave the restaurant four stars instead of five. Overall, Neptune's Net is still a fun place to visit if you're in the area. The food is solid, the ocean views are beautiful, and the lively motorcycle scene gives the restaurant a unique atmosphere that's worth experiencing.

The place is cool looking and has the nice Cali beach vibes with a great view right off the Pacific Coast Highway, and that's it... The service sucked worse than Gavin Newsome as a "governor for the people" (the guy Eduardo working the counter had the personality of a rock and shouldn't be anywhere around customers) and the food was both grossly overpriced and below average. $50 for 1/2 lb of shrimp, rice, and steamed vegetables? Gtfoh... Neptune's Nuts is not worth the stop unless you like being bent over like a Las Vegas hooker.
