    Gyuudon bowl
    Matthew C.

Checked out Isankaya because I heard about the fusion food they have of Japanese Thai and Laos food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was clean and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu had a lot of great options. Given that it's a fusion restaurant there was a lot to choose from. I opted for the Gyuudon bowl. The taste was good but I felt the portion was a bit small. Pad see ew was good. Service was friendly. I'd come back to try some other dishes

The service is very good. The staff are all so sweet and welcoming. Love them for doing such a great job serving us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small but clean. The decor was simple but authentic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is both a Thai and Japanese restaurant. We had a table of 6. We all just got back from a trip and were starving. So we ordered quite a lot of dishes. We got crunchy roll sushi, salmon tuna don bowl, eel bowl, papaya lao style, chicken larb, grilled chicken, namtok steak, grilled steak with jeow, basil noodles, and basil chicken. Our favorites were the steak dishes and the papaya. They were cooked to perfection. The sauces for the steaks were so good! I love namtok salad and this one did not disappoint. The papaya lao style was so good. The eel was very good. I was impressed at how good the eel bowl was and the sauce on it was the perfect amount. I just wished the sticky rice was fresh or put in a bowl at least. It was warmed up in a microwave and given to me in a plastic sandwich bag. It was very weird! Like it was someone's lunch they packed and it was warmed up in a microwave then given to me. The portion sizes for every dish was small. We did share everything at our table but we cleared it up and we ordered a lot. The basil noodles didn't have much flavor. It just tasted like basil but I liked how it was piping hot when it arrived. I like my food hot so that was a good thing. The chicken larb was minced too much to the point where I couldn't taste if it was chicken or not. It could've been tofu. Totally could've tricked me. It didn't have much flavor to it. I needed some lime or something. Overall, this place was pretty good. I would go back there for papaya and the steak salad.

    Tom Yum Soup

Casual restaurant in the busy Hong Kong plaza. I really liked the drunken noodle it had a nice hint of spice. I also liked that there were plenty of veggies throughout. The Thai tea was pretty good just a bit on the sweeter side. I did not really enjoy the Tom yum soup I felt like it was really salty but not a lot of flavor. The sushi was really good and tasted pretty fresh (sadly I don't remember the name of the roll, but it did have mango). I would definitely come again and try more dishes.

We ordered from the Thai menu, papaya salad , chicken feet salad and spicy beef soup was very authentic in flavor. We were greeted by a friendly smile and great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is modern chic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pad Thai was really good. Noodles are thinner than most other places (which was pleasantly different). Num Tuk beef was steak meat.

Octopus zapp and lobster tempura roll

The next time someone asks me for great food close by I'm recommending this place!!. Nice variety. Each dish was delish but my favorite was the octopus zapp (if you like spice and tang this is for you!). The restaurant is in a plaza so parking is plentiful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're going with your girlfriends you will feel safe at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is clean, trendy, and makes you want to come back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've heard a lot about this place from my partner, and I finally got to try it!…read more The ambiance of the area is really nice. There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. There were so many other entrées and sushi rolls I wanted to try, so I will update this review as I do so!

Super creamy with tons of seafood. Loved it. Ribeye - nicely cooked, medium rare, delicious char, tasty butter. Mashed potatoes and gravy were a good side, but went better with greens. Brussel sprouts - these greens. Loved them. Crunchy and tasty and plenty! Lobster mac and cheese - super tasty. Kept going back and forth with the pasta and confused my taste buds. Each is super unique and flavorful. I will be back soon!

We usually go for both rolls and hand rolls, but this time we stuck with just rolls. This place is seriously underrated and has become our go-to spot for great sushi. We ordered the Fantasy, Mono, Sunshine, and Hot Gossip rolls, and every one of them was excellent. I honestly haven't had a roll here that I didn't like. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is always fast and attentive. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the mood for quality sushi.

We waited as instructed, but never received any text or update. What made the experience even more upsetting was how we were treated when we arrived with our service animal. Instead of simply following the ADA guidelines, it felt like the staff were looking for reasons to deny us entry. They asked multiple questions and ultimately assumed our service animal was an emotional support animal (ESA), even though that was not the case. Based on that incorrect assumption, they denied us service. We chose to leave politely rather than argue, but it was an embarrassing and frustrating experience. There were no signs posted indicating any restrictions regarding service animals, and legitimate service animals are protected under federal law. If you have a disability and rely on a service animal, I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience. We left feeling disrespected and disappointed by how the situation was handled.

Like a lot of other omakase places the restaurant was a little hard to find since it's pretty much just a door with a small sign and a couple of windows. The service there was phenomenal and I loved the variety for dishes! We had the 17 course meal for $242/person after taxes and tip, which was a little expensive but seemed fair for Atlanta. We started with some apps and my favorite was the oysters. Then most of the courses were various nigiri and ofc my favorites were the fatty tuna and eel. I also really liked the uni even though I usually don't! The presentation for everything was gorgeous and some of the sushi was pretty unique with the flavor pairings. Dinner ended with a small sorbet as dessert and my mom and I were both stuffed. I'll definitely be back for a special occasion :)

The 15-course menu was a masterpiece from start to finish. Each piece felt like art -- stunning presentation followed by incredible flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth, and the balance between the rice, the fish, and their special secret sauce was perfection. One of the highlights was the Kimi Oboro, prepared using a 200-year-old vinegar technique -- simply remarkable. My sister loved every dish, even falling in love with the pickled ginger! The service was outstanding as well -- two servers took care of us throughout the evening, always greeting us with genuine smiles and impeccable manners. This was probably the best omakase experience I've ever had -- and I've had over a hundred. I'm so glad my sister's first omakase turned into an unforgettable memory. Huge thanks to everyone who served us last night. Highly recommend this place to both first-timers and seasoned sushi lovers alike!
