Today was the absolute worst visit at Burbank boba time on victory blvd. The employee, darker latina in late 20's, was so rude and unhelpful. The employees should call out all orders when ready. The employee placed my drink in the small side fridge and never called out my number then went back to making drinks and never turned to acknowledge me. I simply needed to ask her is that number 134. And when she finally acknowledged me I asked and surprise it was my order. There is no air on inside, not sure if that's to discourage people from spending to long in there. Also orders today will definitely not be made in time or correctly since the online orders come out of this receipt printer at the front counter and a little kid ran up and pulled the orders and ran away as soon as I snapped this pic. read more

I want to start this off by saying that the gals that were working when I was in there were amazing. I was a first time app user and things weren't exactly what I thought, like you can't order extra boba and expect that it will be the strawberry popping boba you wanted. The app also is tricky and doesn't put all their flavors together, like I wanted a watermelon slush but ended up ordering the watermelon cube slush because the regular watermelon slush was below the im cubed option and there was a different slush in between them. If you want extra strawberry boba you have to go there to order it, which is really unfortunate. That had zero to do with the ladies there, they actually took the time to explain it to me and even whipped out their phones to show me the app as they were explaining. They also remade my daughters pineapple slush because she wanted extra strawberry boba in hers. I also ordered some churros (so good!) and an order of fries (also good!) and chicken tenders (not that great, very chewy). I'm Also a fan of their macarons! I'm also not a fan of this parking lot. It isn't really equipped for larger vehicles and finding parking on the yogurtland side is hit or miss. All in all I'm a fan. Tasty boba spot! I got a quick lil Jasmine milk tea and it was quite good. High quality, soft, bouncy boba. Yum.. if you love boba like I do, you know the bouncy kind are the best! The Jasmine milk was a lil thin... I don't know how to explain this to people who aren't boba snobs but for those who know? You know what I'm saying lol... but the boba pearls were top notch. Delicious fruit teas! Super Refreshing on a hot summer day. Try to get the lowest sweet level so you can actually enjoy the taste of the teas. My favorites are guava and lychee orange. The red bean shaved ice was okay. I would not call it legitimate shaved ice like the Korean bingsu in Ktown. It's more of a hardy block of ice then delicate shaved ice. As far as I know, this is the ONLY It's Boba Time location where they have THREE available sizes for their Shaved Ice. It's also such a convenient location. They're in a little plaza with bunch of other stores, they have their own parking lot which doesn't get too busy so it's a big plus (one location I've gone to has a Valet and if you didn't want that, you have to park on the street). Great service at this location. I usually just get the Matcha Milk Tea which they've made with no problem at all. The husband usually get his green tea cup. He was pretty excited about the Large size since he didn't want to "overeat" by ordering the bowl. Both times I've gone, it's been super busy. No surprise there! I used to go here a lot and never had a problem but recently there have been many issues with this place. The person who put my Acai bowls together shoved them in a cup holder and handed it to me. They fell out right away and should have never been put in there. I went back in and they said they wanted to see it on the ground. I told them it is right out side the door. The girl just looked at me. Since I was trying to pick up my daughter I told her I would like a refund or a replacement and she just continued to look at me. I said no problem I will call the store. Found this place late around 9pm after a long trip up to IKEA for a spontaneous furniture trip. We were both tired and were hoping to find a good boba place. When we got here only a few people outside waiting for their drinks and so we went in and they have a lot of menu options. And the options are so many different categories too - cool to see how wide spread they are in offering different things. Friend was super excited to see macaroons because its hard to find the raspberry flavor near us back in San Diego. She bought a few and they looked very yummy and very fresh tasting too. We ordered and it was maybe a 5 minute wait as other people ahead of us had larger orders of 4+ drinks. I didn't mind waiting and they have a microphone to announce the next ready order so you can wait outside to make room for people to go inside to order. Once we got our drinks they were so delicious! I always get strawberry slushy with lychee jelly and I have NEVER had a place use real strawberries in the blend its usually pretty fake tasting. But this was sooooo good!!! So good that I finished my boba faster than my friend which has never happened before because usually its just too sweet for me to do so. This is probably one of the better ones in the immediate vicinity, but being that I grew up in the SGV where it's predominantly Asian, with a lot of Asian eateries, this one does not exactly hit the spot. It's just ok. My pros is that the boba is decent, and they do have a variety of flavors to choose from. My cons: -service is pretty slow, even with or without Covid. Took 20 min for my single order of chicken/fries and boba. I could go to any other spot in SGV and this would be done within 10 min max of ordering, regardless of line. -annoyed they changed popcorn chicken to chicken tenders. Like why?? What is a boba spot without popcorn chicken? Hate to assume they did this to maybe appeal to non-Asians? -the chicken tenders aren't that great. Crispy and tasty skin but meat was dry. Garlic parm fries were ok tho. -ordered tiger/brown sugar and it looked like plain milk tea. Like as if they mixed it all instead of giving you the aesthetic that usually comes with tiger sugar. It was also not that sweet, even on the bland side and I didn't adjust the sugar. Wondering if they possibly even gave wrong drink?
