Great food and service. Plenty of seating and they have a parking lot. IGTM chips are a must order, their hummus is thick and delicious. Grilled chicken was juicy and not dry. Loved everything I ordered.

I came here for a week night dinner and had a 5 star meal. The service here is very fast and our appetizers came out minutes after we ordered them. The calamari and taramosalata was excellent. As we were finishing up our appetizers, our main courses came out. I would prefer to get our entrees once we finish our appetizers, as there were too many plates on the table. Nonetheless, the main dishes came in big portions and are excellent. I had the moussaka and really enjoyed it. My mother had the salmon and liked it very much. My son really liked how the steak was prepared and it wasn't too seasoned or salty. My only issue here was when I ordered the moussaka, I asked if there was onion in it and the waiter said no. Then right before food came out, he came out and said that the moussaka has onion, but if I wanted to pick something else I could. I liked how I was given the choice to order something else. Excellent customer service. But on the other hand, I would have liked if the waiter would have known if there was onion, or if he didn't, he would have asked the chef. Overall, I had a great family meal here and cannot recommend this restaraunt enough! I will come back here again!

We got the pizza special with the hot honey SO GOOD. The little feta balls are really tasty, but hot, so be careful! The sauce it came with was honestly so good, we ate it with the pizza. I know what you're thinking, pizza? At a Greek place? YES. 100% yes. The crust was soft and so so crunchy. The place was really pretty and it has its own parking lot, no street parking here! It had beautiful pink flowers and twinkling lights that really adds to the experience. The server was helpful and attentive. Asked how we were, if we needed anything and made sporadic check-ins on us. He told us the specials and let us know that the pizza was still available!!

Good Greek salads and the portions are decent too. I love coming here for a good greek salad very delicious I miss the Englewood location but it's still worth the few extra miles that the new location has been moved to.

Greek restaurant at Fort Lee, NJ We took out lamb souvlaki platter with french fries for $30 without tax. The lamb was juicy but under seasoned, the yogurt sauce had sliced cucumbers and tasted good. The pepper was under grilled, french fries were dried and soggy and the price was too high.

Chicken souvlaki with slivered onions thin sliced tomato and taziki sauce in a pita.

I ordered a chicken souvlaki expecting all the usual suspects.. but I did not get what I expected. What I was served was 6 large chunks of chicken breast some burnt and some dry. Very strong Thinly sliced red onion slivers, thinly sliced small very small unripe tomatoes covered with very tasteless taziki sauce it was very light in flavor and it needed salt-and garlic. Served in a pita that was warm fresh and very very chewy.. I took a knife to cut it .. I tried two small bites and left the rest. The pita was stuffed from the bottom to the top. This was my main meal. The sides in the menu are all a'lacart.. so the gyro came alone.. My choice of an appetizer was a block of feta covered with sesame seeds. It was battered and encrusted entirely, fried/ cooked on a flat top? and served hot with clover honey drizzle .. some sweet pitted cherries. My beverage was unsweetened iced tea mixed with lemonade. It was very sweet with no real bite of lemon. The table offering was warm pita triangles with cold very very salty marinated white beans.. I didn't enjoy any of it .. The service was excellent an attentive young man who was very helpful. The Greek ambiance was the music playing.. I saw many dishes being served and on display a very large baklava .. I wouldn't go here again Up side : free parking lot attached to the restaurant. Clean and well decorated.. plenty of staff clearing tables .. very healthy to go service. Lots of pick ups. Two clean bathrooms. They offer pizza ,many appetizers , a selection of souvlakis and gyros and a dinner menu. They also had a lunch menu.. plus a selection of deserts. My three items tallied $35. And change. No discount for cash. Why didn't I like it? The feta was like a dessert very salty cheese very sweet topping, clover honey, rich to say the least.. I've had fried feta that was outstanding. However this dish was too much of everything..heavy and very filling.. appetite killer for me. The white bean side was loaded with creamy little beans.. but so much salt I couldn't eat them. The souvlaki just lacked flavor.. the red onion slivers overpowered everything.. I didn't like the bitter burnt dry chicken pieces.. the pita was tough..the taziki lacked flavor and it smothered every bite . Get it on the side!! I was really looking forward to this but it looks like a chain as there are many here in NJ .. for me the Greek punch of flavor and the homey touch wasn't there.

I really want to like this place - back in the day my office wasn't far and we used to order from here. Years passed but I recently stopped by to dine here with an old friend. We started with a Saganaki, which was the best part of our meal. The cheese was tasty, albeit the dish was saltier than I expected. However, it was still very palatable and it was a good start to the meal. I ordered the gyro platter and it was sadly a disappointment. I can see why there were several middling reviews about this place given the high price point relative to the lack of flavor with the dish I chose. This is something I normally get in most Greek restaurants I visit and I thought the food was very bland (in contrast with the saganaki). There was really very little discernible flavor with the gyro itself and the dish in its entirety. The portion was enormous, but sadly the bland food meant it was just a lot of leftovers I didn't end up taking home. The service was fine and I love how there's a really nice parking lot here and the fact they are in a prime location in town. However, given how the prices are here, I would expect some better flavors associated with it. Hopefully this improves as gyros are among my favorite things to eat.

Awesome comfortable authentic Greek cuisine right in the heart of fort Lee NJ. Our server Mike was really personable and went above and beyond to make our dining experience truly unique and meaningful. We took advantage of the outdoor seating and it was quite pleasant and quiet with some Greek music playing in the background. The Greek salad is a must and recommended eating it fresh onsite. The chicken gyro cheese fries were so filling and covered in gyro meat and tzatziki. The cleanliness, atmosphere, food quality, and service all exceeded my expectations!

    Pastichio
    Melissa R.

Saturday evening, they had live music outdoors which really is a vibe. First time here, we had the fried eggplant, Greek salad, Greek fries, and I had the Greek pasta bake-Pastichio Service could've been better, we asked for extra tzatziki sauce quite a number of times and waited half an hour for it to arrive if not longer...Greek salad was great, refreshing and tasty, the fried eggplant chips were tasty as well, Greek fries were crispy and fresh but the Pastichio was not my favorite, it lacked flavor and was subpar. It's BYOB, parking lot was full on a Saturday night but we found parking not too far away which is convenient.

Outdoor seating! They made social distanced seating out of their back parking lot and it was very nicely done!

Taverna Veranda attracts cool, chill folks who enjoy good music, company, and food. And you can come alone and be treated with dignity by both patrons and staff. It is that kind of environment. No cheap elitism, no wannabes. I came on a Friday night to enjoy their seafood special and the DJ. If you want to carry a conversation, maybe avoid Friday nights. If you wanna dance then Friday night is good. DJ spins a selection of high beat Arabic music that will get you moving for sure. I had the pink snapper, which was huge and is meant to be shared among three people. It comes with two choices of sides and i recommend the spicy broccoli and spicy fries. For mezze you must try the babaganoush. It comes with pomegranate seeds and fresh chopped cherry tomatoes, for a mildly tart and sweet nuance. It comes with pita bread roasted with rosemary. Kefte is another winner; bite size meatballs with tzatsiki sauce. But something you rarely see in ordinary middle Eastern restaurants is the saganaki. You must order it. Especially if you are having a stiff drink...it will help soak up that 40% proof alcohol. The cheese was gooey melty perfection, sizzling hot with lemon wedge on top. You have the sweet tardiness of the lemon combined with the saltiness of the cheese. Speaking of stiff drinks, the señorita is strong and well made. If you had a particularly rough week, you will appreciate the bartender. The glass is large, with about 1.7 Oz of Don Julio 1942 añejo. The view is lovely. I was sitting inside as it was a warm summer night. But as the weather cools and the mosquitos leave, I want to chill on the terrace, at brunch.

There's plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. The interior is modern, clean, and inviting with lots of greenery. Their menu is built on natural ingredients and bold flavors. You can choose from diverse options like salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, protein shakes, etc. They use grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, wild-caught seafood, and locally sourced organic fruits and vegetables. They carefully craft their recipes and every item is made with love and care! Yes, the prices are on the higher end. But I'm happy to pay for higher quality food... because what you put into your body matters A LOT ;) I've tried a little bit of everything and they're all delicious. The food is packed with vibrant flavors and generous portions of protein. My top recommendation would be the Big NY (~$16). It includes steak, onion, mushrooms, romaine, feta, and lemon cilantro vinaigrette. I usually get it on a whole wheat wrap and it is to die forrrrrrrrr!!! The steak is super juicy and tender. All of the ingredients work so well together! One bite and I was in love. I also love getting a side of baked sweet potato fries ($6).
