There are roll up walls (which were closed as this was a cold February day). In the summer, it must be pleasant when they open the walls on a warm day. There are two ways to access the lower pier: via stairs or via a ramp from behind the bathrooms next to the hamburger place. Note that there are no bathrooms in the Ivar's; you have to go to the upper pier and the bathrooms have outside entrances in the hamburger building. There is a walk up order counter and plenty of tables inside and a few outside. I had the fried oysters and chips ($9.09) and my wife had the fried clams and chips ($8.49). We also ordered a small size "Calamari Snacker" (appetizer portioned fried calamari for $1.99. We were told that when the staff called my name that we should go up to the counter and pick up the order when it is ready. We were surprised when it was delivered to the table! Everything was very tasty, but the best part were the fried oysters, which were fantastic. They were juicy and tender and delicately fried with a light coating. Perfect. They were so good that we wanted another order. I found out that you can order them "solo" without the french fries and it is $1.49 less expensive, which was good since we couldn't finish the fries that we already had.
