The problem of Wagyu is that you do get full easily and feel quite bloated after eating so much fatty meat. iWagyu offers meat with lovely marveled meats that I think means that the fat is better distributed and doesn't make you feel so bloated. The garlic beef tongue was really good and cuts well due to the greens on top. The fried chicken was good but along with the sweet and sour sauce was pretty standard. The beef tartare was crisp and refreshing as an appetizer. Top Blade was a favorite for my family because it wasn't as fatty. Also, the Ishiyaki Negi Wagyu Bibimbap was quite good not oily compared to other beef bibimbaps. Quick service and delicious food. It's a really good deal if you want a solid spot to come for good quality and well-marbled meats.

So I ended up trying iWagyu ATS BBQ after the dim sum restaurant next door we originally planned to go to had to close an hour early due to an inspection the following day. Since we were already in the area, why not give it a try. Parking took a little patience. There's parking in the structure downstairs, but it was extremely full for a Tuesday night. We had to circle around several times before finally finding a spot. The restaurant itself has a little more upscale atmosphere feel to it, even though quit a few customers were casual, including myself. When you hear "wagyu," you already expect higher-quality meat and a more premium dining experience, and this place definitely gives that vibe. We were seated pretty quickly, even though there were quite a few guests inside. The booth seating was spacious and comfortable. One thing to note is that the pricing varies depending on whether you're a member or non-member, so be prepared to spend a little more here since it is on the pricier side. We ordered a couple appetizers along with several meat selections, and overall the food was okay, nothing special or spectacular but good. The service was decent, although it did seem like the staff catered a bit more attentively to certain member tables. Still, everyone was polite and the experience overall was enjoyable. If you're looking for something more upscale and different from traditional Korean BBQ, this is definitely a place worth trying. It feels like a fancy Japanese-style BBQ experience with premium meats and a stylish atmosphere.

Service was terrible! The table next to us got sat after us and ended up getting their food before they even tried to take our order. She was not tentative and I kept having to flag someone down to request for something. We got the classic Wagyu combo and I think we only liked one of the cuts. Everything else was more chewy than I expected from high quality meats. The only thing I did end up liking was the sauces they gave to dip the meat. If I'm paying that price I was expecting a little more.

Celebrating my first graduation ceremony as a faculty member felt extra special thanks to our amazing dinner at I Wagyu in Monterey Park. Hubs brought me here to celebrate, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience from start to finish. One thing we really appreciated was how Yelp made ordering so much easier, especially when choosing the combo options. The menu is slim and straightforward, which honestly made the decision-making process stress-free and enjoyable. The service was also excellent, shoutout to Nick and Chocolate for being attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the night. As for the food, the quality of the meat was outstanding. Our favorites were definitely the short rib, toro, and oyster blade, which were flavorful, tender, and perfectly satisfying. The only item that wasn't our favorite was the beef tongue because it was a bit too fatty for our personal preference, but that really comes down to taste. We also loved the appetizers, especially the kimchi and radish, which balanced the richness of the meats so well. The cozy ambiance made the experience even better, and ending the night with their ice cream dessert was the perfect sweet finish. @jhennybventures (ig/tiktok)

Came to Iwaygu recently and really enjoyed the experience overall. The food was great and definitely lived up to the hype. Service was also very good, especially considering how busy the restaurant was that night. Our server was incredibly kind, patient, and did her best to keep up with everything. The only small downside was that our table was seated in a more hidden area of the restaurant, so there were a few moments where it felt like we were forgotten about. That said, I honestly think it was more due to the layout and how packed the restaurant was rather than the service itself. Despite the rush, our server still provided a great experience and remained attentive whenever she came by. I honestly have no complaints about the food itself. My only suggestion would be adding more vegetable-based dishes or lighter side options, since many of the dishes were very rich, oily, and fatty. Overall though, it was still a great dining experience and I'd definitely come back again.

Tried Iwagyu, the new wagyu BBQ spot at Atlantic Times Square, and overall it was a great experience. The quality of the meat and dishes is really impressive. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and felt worth the price. Speaking of price, it's actually pretty reasonable for wagyu, and they offer membership deals that are surprisingly worth it--you can basically make your membership fee back in one visit. The interior is very clean, spacious, and has a more upscale, modern feel compared to typical KBBQ spots. One thing I really appreciated was the ventilation. There are no overhead vents, but the smoke control is excellent (apparently built into the grill), and I didn't leave smelling like BBQ, which is rare. Service was great. Our server, Ding, was attentive, polite, and quick with everything we needed. Overall, a strong addition to the area and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for quality wagyu BBQ in SGV.

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened & the perfect opportunity arose when the line for Hong Kong cafe was too long. I was under the impression that it was another chubby group establishment but after reading the menu more carefully, I realized it was its own company. The menu is quite extensive with most items being à la carte. There's three set menus that come with a variety of meats and small dishes. I ordered one of the chef's specials for two people. It came with 4 different meats, a specialized rice bowl, beef tongue, and an additional portion of Wagyu. Our waitress convinced us to buy their membership so we were able to add on a Wagyu plate for free. Our entire meal set was brought to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. I was surprised when they said this was everything we ordered because it seemed like it would only feed 1 person. The portions are extremely small and the meal was subpar. I've definitely had better Wagyu experiences elsewhere. Overall, I don't think I would come back. If you're not a big eater than this place is for you. The pictures I included are all the items we got.

Outstanding food and service from start to finish. The quality of the food was excellent, Chef special and the bibimbap was one of the best we've had, we enjoyed it so much that we ordered another bibimbap to go before leaving. A special thank you to Sherry, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even better. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Korean food and outstanding hospitality.

We visited iWagyu in Monterey Park on a Saturday night with a 7:30 PM reservation for a group of seven. Even though the restaurant wasn't packed, they did require a majority of our party to be present before we could be seated. We ordered two Wagyu combo sets, two extra meat plates, bibimbap, corn cheese, and two soups, which turned out to be a perfect amount of food for our group. The meat quality was excellent, and while you cook it yourself, the service was exceptionally attentive. The waiters kept our bonchan refilled and even took the time to evenly portion out the bibimbap and soups into individual bowls for each of us.

Great new wagyu bbq just opened in the area. The store is clean, cuts of meat were great and the ambience is nice. The store looks nice and very clean The meat portion is good for the price and they do refills for the kimchi and radish if you order them. Our service, Nick was great and very attentive. He helped us to pick the good options and kept checking if we are doing good Definitely check it out when you're in the location. You can also join wait list on Yelp or making reservations

I loved iWagyu when I had it on my birthday many years ago, and I was ecstatic when they opened a branch in Monterey Park. I passed by the menu one time and saw they had small bites in addition to their big expensive multi course meals. Given they had options for smaller portions, I decided to come here for date night with my wife. The restaurant is fairly small but the seats were generously sized. The restaurant had a romantic vibe to it for sure, good for date nights. The service was ok. My wife got the sous vide wagyu curry rice, and I got the wagyu bibimbap. The bibimbap was a bit salty but the beef was quite flavorful. The curry was really good, and I loved that the beef slowly cooked on the hot stone bowl. Both dishes were amazing. I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future.

Went for Dine LA and was so impressed!!!the menu between the two locations did vary a little bit, but we had so much food and left stuffed and with leftovers. The salad was delightful and the chicken was pretty perfect. We also decided to join their membership for only $30, which gave us a bunch of free coupons and a discount on our meal. Plus, the option to order the members only special weekday deals. Can honestly say there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy. We used one of our meat coupons, but we really should have saved it, because we were super stuffed before we even got to the add-on. Place was cute and the staff were all super friendly and helpful; we've already planned a new trip back in March!

What's even crazier is that I've been a diehard bone-in/traditional wings believer, but bb.q Chicken's boneless wings converted me to the dark side. In fact, I will shamelessly admit that I only ever order their boneless wings here after having tried them. Unlike other places' boneless wings, which use dry white meat (an absolute abomination IMHO), bb.q Chicken uses actual dark meat and are actual "boneless wings." The Cheesling flavor is to die for. Get the limited time Buldak Cheesling flavor for a special spicy kick. If you want an alcoholic drink with your chicken, I suggest sticking with beer or bottled soju. Their soju cocktails are pretty weak and have a strange pre-mixed flavor to them.

My go to flavors are: Spicy original-- crispy crunchy with a hint of spice Cheesling--- A dry rub nicely dusted with their house cheese powder and a hint of sweetness. Gangnam style-- Wet seasoning with a savory and sweet soy forward taste, with a strong pepper flavor. You'll also get pickeled radish cubes, which provides a refreshing compliment to the strong flavors of the chicken. This place never disappoints.

It also seems this is one of the few places in socal with a license to cook with charcoal indoors, which is a bit of a bummer. Place was not too busy when we went but the center it's in is a bit small and can be tough to park. The service is pretty typical for a Chinese place. I found them more attentive than average honestly and they were always available when we flagged them down which I can't say for a lot of places, so service was overall good in my opinion. Place is AYCE, two person minimum, 2 hour time limit but are generous. You can get water or hot/cold wheat tea which was good, similar to barley tea. They can change out your grill at any time and add charcoal if the fire starts to die down, which you'll want since you want to be cooking meat quick over a high heat to make the most of your time here and get the best cook on your meat. To me the standouts were the beef tongue, boneless beef shortrib, and this cold cut you don't cook that I forget the name of. The beef tongue particularly really had everything going for it. Great balance of flavor between fat and muscle, a little chew but not too much like some bad tongue has. Super thin so fast to cook and easy to eat. Everything else was good but nothing KBBQ doesn't have a better version of (looking at you marinated beef). The charcoal flavor is gonna be a unique element so take that as you will. I'm told in China every place like this has its own 'signature sauce' and I guess the one here is the sesame sauce that is quite sweet, creamy, and perfectly thin for dipping. I followed the pro here and added green onions, cilantro, vinegar, and soy sauce to taste and it helped balance out the flavors for me but I still found myself preferring to eat the meat on its own most of the time which was a bummer as dipping between sauces is a nice way to change things up as you eat the same cuts of meat for 2 hours. The shortrib is incredibly juicy and delicious. I found the steak cuts my least favorite as they were a bit tough and lacking flavor. If you pay in cash you'll get a 16oz cup of their INCREDIBLE yogurt so I highly recommend, but you also get small cups of this at the end of your meal. It has a high fresh acidity like freshly squeezed lime juice balanced with sweetness that really makes this yogurt bangarang and super addicting. So much so I bought two things to go and wish I got more! Owner was a total sweetheart too. Def a great place to hit especially for the charcoal element and world-class yogurt but otherwise my favorite KBBQ spots are still gonna be my go-to for everything else.

You get a container to put your extra sticks. After delivering food they don't really check on you and you go up to pay at the front. The thing I felt could be the most improved is that the plate used to keep the skewers warm is entirely ineffective. They cook the skewers in the back and put them there, but they still get cold and are unappetizing after a bit, especially if half the candles under your plate are out. A little tiny adjustable grill or warmer at each table would be best, but instead it just feels a bit cheap. You can add your own seasoning from containers at the table.
