I always go to the SD location and just recently visited this location. My go-to spot for late night cheap eats to hang with friends! Small location so there could be a wait on weekends but worth the wait. I've tried a lot of stuff on the menu but my personal favorites are - beef skewers - cucumbers - tofu - oysters/scallops!! Love that they have a Yelp waitlist so you can leave to grab boba real quick and come back before getting text updates about the waitlist!

I've visited a few times and it's always a great experience when with friends. Lots of variety, delicious eats, fun videos, and karaoke lyrics on the walls. They have bright lights while the room is pretty dark. There's only a few tables so if you're coming in on a weekend late that you might have a wait and need to join the waitlist. I love that they have a scannable menu and you can order directly through online. It's a great late night spot when you're having a few drinks or just grabbing some food with friends until the late night. The service is great and they're pretty quick once you order. I always love to have beef and lamb and enoki wrapped in bacon as well as the cucumbers. They have a few drinks on the menu, but for me it's usually a night after. I bring my friends here when I'm in town and I'll definitely keep coming. Already thinking about the next meal!

I have been coming here for over 5 years and it never disappoints! The prices are great, the dry bbq seasoning is spicy cumin perfection, and the orange garlic chili sauce that comes on some dishes like Grilled Oysters and Eggplants is soo garlicky and fragrant! I love to dip my skewers in the sauce that comes on them. Skewers come to your table already cooked to perfection. My favorite skewers are: - Lamb!! (Lamb is consistently more tender and juicy than beef here) -Quail Eggs -Chicken Wings (very crispy) -Chives -Grilled Oysters -Chicken Skin -Beef -Cucumber Salad -Toasted Buns for dessert The interior is dark - with slow moving background projections on all the walls. The booth seating resembles couches. It's a very cozy and casual space, and its great because this place opens super late until 2/3am. Service is fast and you order on your phone using a QR code. I love stopping by Xinjiang BBQ when I'm passing the area, but it's definitely a late night stop in my mind. And never get the skewers togo! Really not as good togo.

You guys fooled me with your reviews. We got overpriced cold skewers. They also didn't have any hot drinks (not even tea), which is super rare for a Chinese restaurant. Disappointed.

The skewers were delicious and gave good portions. I also liked the lively ambience and the music made you feel like you're a in a modern/high tech place...also enjoyed the coziness of the seating areas.

Idk, proof that I come here a lot and I'm not lying

I used to love this place after few years ago but not so much anymore. The quality of the food has just gotten so bad. It's like the cook always forgets one or two ingredients, and a different dish will come out bland every time you come. The flavor is always off now, sometimes nonexistent. Half the time you're just eating dry, unseasoned meat. I won't bother ranting about the super long wait times and the poor service too; those haven't ever changed in the years I've been coming and probably never will. But the drop in food quality is the biggest disappointment. I go here about once a month (3 times in the last month), and I've finally come to accept the fact that the food just won't ever be as good as a few years back, and it's time to look for a better alternative. If you're in the area, there's plenty of better tasting alternatives 5 mins away (T-kebob, Meet You Bbq, Little Skewer, etc.)

Weird atmosphere in a good way but still the food is so good! The service is great they're bringing you food every time you order and it's fast!

Came to Xinjiang BBQ for my friend's birthday. They order via QR code at the table. Everything you order comes out cooked so it's nice that you don't have to wait for the skewers to cook at your table like other places. My group ordered the crispy pork appetizer, jellyfish cucumber and marinated cucumbers. All were delicious that we ordered multiple plates of them. As for the skewers we got the chicken, beef, lamb, squid, bacon wrapped enoki, bean curd and fried chicken skin. All were cooked to perfection and none of them were tough or chewy. They have different powders on the table that you can put on your plate to accompany the skewers. They are priced pretty fairly with each order being about $6. My group was there for 4 hours and each one of us paid about $260 for a party of 7. We liked that this place was opened late and was a chill environment. The staff speaks some English but would be good if you have someone in the party who speaks mandarin. They have about a dozen tables inside and everything comes out pretty quickly.

    Lamb skewers!

If you're not coming to grub here are you really living? Jk this spot always hits, go hungry and leave pleasantly satisfied. The food is made to order off the QR code menu, your code is on the screen! Maybe volunteer an unsuspecting friend in your party to sing some karaoke. While you wait for your delicious bbq skewers, they have it all, chicken, lamb, beef, seafood, veggies. Come by and get comfy, hope you don't have to wait too long to be seated, it's a small dining area but worth the wait. Extra seasoning on the table but if you want spicy you can order that too.

easy spot to get some yummy skewers! inside has really cool interior. the seating is booth style and has an ipad to order from. you can also send in song requests. they have visuals on all the walls surrounding you as well. skewers were reasonably priced and come out cooked already, then placed on a heated tray. some skewers had alot of fat though their side dishes were pretty good, the cucumber salad and stir fried clams were the better ones of what we ordered try the chicken wing! it was super fresh and hot when we got ours roasted eggplant dish was a little too burnt on the bottom

Came here on new years eve around 10pm & it was starting to get busy. Total meal was $30 for 3 meat skewers (4 sticks each), cucumbers, & rice This is my favorite skewers place & a great late night spot! The price is great & the flavor of the meat is tasty. The cucumbers & eggplants are also great add ons to your meal! Favorite is the beef & lamb The ambiance is very chill, dim lighting, & can sometimes be a little louder at night with the talking & music

What an interesting restaurant experience! Xinjiang BBQ is located in a tiny plaza that has a good amount of parking as well. The plaza is initially pretty hard to locate while driving on the street so just be on the lookout. The decor is really interesting as well. It gives somewhat of a *nightclub* type of vibe and, for some reason, there is a super large projector in the front of the restaurant that's showing random messages that people in the restaurant can send in via a google form QR code. Just really odd, but I'm not complaining - it's kind of cool actually too, the more I think about it. The service is quick and the food comes quicker. You order via a QR code at your table and the ordering site is very easy to use. It's perfect, since we could order skewers throughout the meal, instead of all at once. The main skewers that we got were the beef and pork belly. The prices are very reasonable as well, going for about $1.50 per skewer. I also highly recommend getting the cucumber salad! It's a big portion for a reasonable price and it has a very clean and fresh taste, allowing for a good contrast between the saltiness of the meat. Overall, I had a great time and really just had an ~interesting~ experience here. A lot of aspects of this restaurant were very odd to me, but I still enjoyed it and had fun. Great place to just chill and relax with your friends with good food and drinks!

Had this place bookmarked for a while and finally went to try it out. Skewers were quite yummy and they had a wide selection. They cook it and bring it to you. Flavors were good and meat not overcooked. The cucumbers were good and hubs really liked the shredded potatoes, but we really enjoyed the lamb dough drop soup! It was a good grease cutter lol and delicious too! Very different! Was extra good when I squeezed some lime into it. Service was good. Food came out quickly. I loved the ambiance, fun vibe and the constant changing scenes kept me entertained! There were 8 projectors lol. Seats were comfy too! Open late and quite a popular place.

    No outdoor seating.

Do you still have the nuts and tree nuts beans curry cumin? This one is my favorite! I went there 11/29/22 and now you replaced it with the spicy one.

Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

8/29/2026: Wow! Second visit almost exactly 1 year later, and this place still doesn't disappoint!…read more We pulled in to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night, and the very ample parking lot was packed to the gills. There are several restaurants in the lot, but Mr. Dragon Noodle House seemed to be the busiest with several groups of people waiting outside for a table. I called and was told they're open until 9pm, but if you arrive before 8:40pm they will still seat you and you can order and dine. He quoted a 10-20 minute wait which didn't seem possible, but we took a chance and placed our name on the waitlist. I love the tablets that most restaurants in SGV use. It's so efficient! The host handed us a laminated menu and an order form after we checked in so we could figure out what we wanted even before we sat down. They get high marks for efficiency! Within 10 minutes, we were called to our waiting table. They are a well oiled machine! As soon as a party leaves, a team of 3 smiling staff converge on the table to clear the dishes, clean the table and re-set for the next patrons. We ordered our drinks and a Popcorn Chicken appetizer. Hubby says this is the best popcorn chicken he's had to date, and he's a bit of a snob! No dipping sauces needed. He ordered "No Spicy" and they brought chili powder on the side. They fried what I believe was fresh basil with the chicken and it was so tasty, I would request extra next time! It's well seasoned and crispy. The portion is easily generous enough to share with 4 or more people. Their 0% Sugar Green Tea is served icy cold in a huge beer stein, and is so refreshing! A perfect accompaniment to the meal. It comes in many flavors as well but I didn't want anything sweet. We shared an order of their Hot Oil Shrimp, Pork & Cabbage wontons in a bowl. Delicious, but if you're not a heat seeker don't forget to request it "mild". Now for what I considered the star of the table, their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. This is a dish that I love and am always looking for the best bowl.. and Mr Dragon is high up there. Don't come at me, but we had heard the hype about Corner Beef Noodle House and tried theirs last year. In an evening without a crowd we were virtually ignored when we walked in and I had to accost someone to seat us. The soup wasn't nearly as good as Mr Dragon, and their service couldn't compare. I'll have to give them one more chance. There was no room for improvement at Mr Dragon Noodle House. Beefy broth, tender chunks of beef and perfectly bouncy noodles. Yum!

Grilled Cabbage with Bagna Cauda - I do like a good cabbage dish, but the cabbage was under charred, way too greasy, & lacked acidity. After finishing the half portion of cabbage, it left an unpleasant after taste. Not a well balanced dish at all. Not my favorite dish. Maybe we should've gotten a simple salad instead. Dan Dan Campanelle - the dish came warm not hot. Good flavors and the Campanelle had a good chew, but not an exceptional dish. Hainan Fish Rice - I was so looking forward to this dish. The fish was cooked perfectly, but again lacking balance. The ginger oil is muted and purely decorative, lacking the sharp, sinus-clearing bite needed to wake up the dish. Without the bright, raw punch of ginger and chili, the dish tastes heavy and one-dimensional. I just wished there were more flavors and not just the taste of oil with each bite of fish and ginger. Good ingredients used, but just too heavy on the oil, too light on the aromatics. We didn't fully enjoy our meal as much as we would've liked. We might come back and try the brunch some day.

I was impressed by the variety of choices and portions. My wife ordered an Asian chicken salad and garlic edamame, while I had a house salad with chicken and shrimp, plus a strawberry-banana smoothie and (2) protein donuts. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The lettuce in our salads was crunchy and fresh, the chicken and shrimp were flavorful and well-seasoned, the garlic edamame was tasty and cooked perfectly, and my banana and strawberry smoothie--let's just say I wish I had another one right now, as I loved it! If I may make a small suggestion: please chop the lettuce into smaller pieces, as the lettuce on both our plates contained large pieces that we had to cut ourselves. Then you choose your soup base, afterwards the staff will give you a number where you place at your table. The food will arrive according to your number. I had a few misses here before but somehow I always find myself back here for various reasons. They open late, and when I feel like in need of comfort food during late hours, this is the place that opens. I enjoyed the fresh ingredients they put at the self-serve bar including large peeled shrimp and abalone along with the sauce bar. I also look forward to the ice cream cone at the end of the meal, adds such a great touch. The soup base is bland for me but the sauces help. Overall, one of those staples you come back to when you crave malatang. The parking is in the structure of the plaza so it's reasonable, during certain hours, it can be crazy. I love it's in the close proximity with other drink shops and movie theater so you can do multiple things in one plaza. Restaurant is casual and fast paced.

My rating is for the food and not the service (which can use some work)…read more It was my first time here just to celebrate my dad's birthday. You basically go in, choose the ingredients you want in your hot pot and then go to the end where your food will be weighed. You then choose a flavor for your soup, they hand you a number, and then you sit down and wait for your food. I got the Tom yum soup which was great - very tasty. My bowl came out to be about $17 and I was pretty full from it. After you finish eating, they give you a soft served ice cream (black sesame) which was so yummy! Anyway for the experience / service - Since it was my first time, the worker had to explain the process to me but she was sooo soft spoken, I can barely hear her so I just figured it out myself. We did bring cake to the restaurant and maybe it's not a traditional place to celebrate? But they were nice enough to help us store the cake in the fridge. However, when they brought it out for us, I guess I thought they would offer forks or a small bowl or plate for the cake. None of that was offered. We had to flag down someone and asked but the guy only gave us forks so we just looked at each other. And ended up grabbing the sauce bowls as our plates. My dad also some restrictions with biting large pieces of food so we asked for scissors and they did not have any. We ended up going next door to Daiso to buy a pair of scissors. Overall, this place is not extremely accommodating for these extra requests but the food is good. There's some happy hour but signs are not at every table so I had to zoom in on the poster to see what the deals were.
