I had the steak and fries and my plate was great tasting, my fries got a little cold as we waited for my son's and husbands burger orders to get corrected- both asked for plain and dry burgers and they had condiments, pickles. Then my sons was too salty. My daughter had the French Dip sandwich's and she enjoyed that. Steak Rolls were amazing! My drink (Fleu de lis Martini) was one of the best drinks I've ever had, but it took a while and we had to remind the waitress we had ordered a cocktail. My wife and I have been regulars for years. We also have a great meal every time. However, for many months the menu has been the same. Missing many items like fried shrimp entree. The last few visits however, we have been very pleasantly surprised for both lunch and dinner. Many new items.. Like roast pork, cuban chicken sandwich, a new parmesan chicken dish we had tonight. I've had the prime rib, crab cakes, NYO Mac and Cheese, THE artichokes, THE chocolate cake and THE French pressed coffee among other sides, etc. Tomorrow I'm diving in for the baby back ribs. This was our first time at the Redlands Grill. First off, the atmosphere is light, open, modern and chic with relaxing music. The booth was very comfortable and private with high partitions (COVID friendly). Xavier, our waiter was very attentive and professional. It was lunchtime and we shared what we ordered. We started with the fire-grilled artichokes. O. M. G. These were so delicious and FUN to eat. We were planning on just splitting the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich but Xavier suggested also ordering a Caesar salad. We substituted the salad for the fries and were so glad we listened to him! Their Caesar salad is so good and large enough to share. The Hot chicken sandwich was spicier than I expected but delicious. Maybe it could've had a bit more of the tasty cole slaw on it? Host desk lacks communication, service was subpar, food was mediocre at best. Left over half a double pork chop as it was too salty. Server said sorry. Mt friend and I sat at the bar and it took an hour in between every water, drink and meal. We had to call them by waving our hands several times while they waited on everyone else. The stayed focused and well attentive to everyone else but us. I tried blaming it short staff and it being busy but once we saw others being serves quickly it was obvious the bartenders were ignoring us. My wife and I went on date night to the restaurant and we were eager to try it since we pass it on our way to La Cantera Mall. The restaurants aesthetics was very similar to Houlihans which was nice. The problems started with our waiter. We ordered an appetizer with a salad after we finished it took forever and a day for someone to talk us. I literally had to ask a random server who was our waiter was he going to take our order, we found out the initial guy was not our waiter and a lady would be our waiter. I forgot to mention we made a special request for a moçktail (non alcoholic drink, Shirley temple) since we both do not drink. I ordered the cowboy ribeye with the loaded potato and my wife ordered the New York Strip with the macaroni and cheese. The steak had no seasoning. Not even salt and we didn't receive our drinks until we were almost done with the meal. (They told us this was due to the fact they never had someone order Non-alcoholic) this was not true because my wife observed to hat they simple forgot about it and realized it later The waiter saw we were a little upset so she took off the price of the drinks and the desert we ordered but that did not erase the fact that the food and service was below par. Also to note: Covid-19 is real and only a few waiters had on a mask. As a foodie and a corporate leader I hope they can do better. read more
