I have the same experience as the other reviewer. I had a small accident and took my car to J&S. The owner Jerry quoted me a price we agreed on and the repairs he was going to do and the time frame. He didn't give me anything in writing. I dropped off the car on Monday, Sept 11th 2023, hoping to pick it up on Friday, Sept 15th. Never got a call or update. I had to call, only to be told that they are still waiting on a part. This happened every day after that and finally got my car fixed on Sept 22nd, a whole week late. As far the quality of their work, the less said the better. He had promised that the hub cap would be buffed out and would look like new. It stayed about the same. He then said he had not quoted me for full fix, which would cost an extra $129+tax. He didn't fix my damaged bumper properly. When I went to pick up the car, I noticed that the mirror was still all scratched up. I asked about it and he said they forgot to paint it and took the cover off and asked me to come back again on Monday. I collected the mirror cover on Tuesday morning, Sept 26th. He had barely painted it and the scratches are still visible. Overall, worst experience. They cut corners and skimp on labor to save you a few dollars. Do yourselves a favor and stay as far away from Jerry and J&S as possible. There are plenty of honest body shops in and around the area. read more

This business provides the absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered in the 30 years I've been driving. I need some body work and paint to be done on my truck. I brought it in on September 9, 2022 and got a quote from the owner, Jerry. He failed to provide a written estimate and randomly quotes a price and asked me to bring it back on Monday, September 12, 2022 for a "final quote." In the process, I was told it would be ready in five days. I asked Jerry if it's okay to come and pick it up the following Monday, September 19, 2022 because I was leaving for a trip. He said yes and knew I was coming to pick it up Monday. I arrived Monday morning, exactly what we agreed on, and I was told the bumper didn't arrive until September 16, 2022. While it is frustrating that it's not ready, it is more frustrating that I had to arrange for a ride and never got a call saying it isn't ready. Well, it gets better, or actually much worse in terms of customer service. I called the next day and asked when it would be ready. I was told that it should be ready Weds afternoon, September 21, 2022. In fact, I was told to arrive between 4:30pm to 5pm, but no later than 5pm. I arrived at 4:34pm and once again, my truck was not ready. Never got a phone call letting me know it wasn't ready. This would be the second time I arrived trying to pick up my truck but was unsuccessful solely because this business, particularly Jerry the owner, is too incompetent and negligent to communicate that a deadline was not going to be met. The multiple trips were a waste of my time and resources due to very poor customer service. Oh but it gets even better. I got a call at 10:14am on September 22, 2022 from Jerry saying the truck was ready. I called the shop at 4:11pm letting him know I was coming to pick up the truck and to have it ready. By now, I am very dissatisfied and angry about having to go up there for the third time. I arrive and Jerry asked me "how you doing today?" I told him I am better than I was yesterday. Instead of apologizing (like a normal person / business owner) he instantly got defensive and started to say I don't understand how these things work and it could take longer. I told him it is ok if things take longer, but it's wrong to tell someone it's ok to come pick up their car and not have it ready without ANY communication letting the customer know not to come. Jerry instantly started yelling and said "pay me my money and get the hell out of here." He gave me the invoice and I asked for a copy of the new bumper invoice (part of our agreement) and he said he didn't have it (which is another indicator he didn't full perform as part of the agreed arrangement). Jerry proceeded to say I got a new bumper pad in the process and I disagreed. Once again, he got defensive and insisted we walk out to the truck to verify, so we did. Well, I showed him it was the old pad so he quickly recanted and conceded that he was wrong. We walked inside and I paid him the owed balance and got my keys to drive away. When you are looking for a body shop, consider all your options and DO NOT end up doing business with this business or Jerry. It was seriously the worst experience I've ever had. I had a quote my Maaco in McKinney and they were $300 more but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for." I made the mistake of doing business with Jerry's poor business practices, so I suffered the consequences. Do not let it happen to you. And for the record, I have never once received an apology from this establishment, but rather, was yelled at by the owner when letting him know why I was frustrated. read more

my car was rear ended and needed the nack bumper replaced. Jerry at J&S was super helpful and I'm so glad we went here instead of the toyota dealership. He was able to take my car right away and already had the needed parts on hand so we didn't have to wait weeks for them to be ordered! My car was ready in 1 week (vs. an estimated 4 weeks at the dealership) and the back looks great! Jerry is great at communication and always answers the phone quickly. if you need any work done to your car, I highly recommend J&S Auto!!!! read more

I took my son's car for body repair to these guys and was disappointed at how bad they maintained cleanliness in the car. Car was extremely dirty when we got it back not to mention we later had some lady bump into the same location that was repaired by these guys and the repairshop (reputable this time) said how bad the bondo was apperantly applied by J&S previously and commented that in a rush they must have broken a plastic insert then glue it back without telling us. They figured we'd never see it anyway. Stay away from these guys. Also they had given us an 800 dollar estimate then jacked up the price to 1200! Old guy that runs the shop wudn't even budge 10 bucks off his final price.. He acted like he didn't care about customers one iota. read more

i brought my 2014 Nissan for repair, thinking to keep business in home town. Big Mistake. They did terrible job. Told me car will be ready in 5 days and he took 22 days, didn't want to take credit card. The owner is rude, arrogant and does not know the customer service. He is dishonest man and keep claiming 33 years in business (of robbing and dishonesty). you are going to get what you pay for. Advice, pay a little more go to place where they know what respect and customer service mean. read more

Just picked up my 1966 Mustang that Jerry and his team painted. It looks fantastic! Very happy!!!

He did my wife's car great so I took mine there. When I picked it up it had pieces in the back seat not put back on, parts of the windshield wiper were missing so I had to buy new ones, seals were missing, over spray all over the glass to the point that you couldn't see out the glass when the sun hit, scratched my window tint, interior of the car was covered in dust and his answer for everything was we didn't do it. read more

I got a quote from Service King to repair a good size back bumper dent on our 2006 Mazda 3 for $2300. It needed to be completely replaced and repainted. Yikes - we passed. Then I brought the car into J&S and he quoted me $600 for the exact same service. We dropped it off and had it back within 2 days and are completely delighted with the work. The place isn't pretty but the work was awesome and owner is a man of his word. I also like supporting local family owned businesses. Cash or checks only. read more

Jerry of J and S is super duper! He has always quoted me the lowest price for any work on my Mustang and works closely with the insurance company when they are involved. I totally trust him with my car!!!! I know that the work will be done correctly and in a timely manner. One of his constant comments is: "We'll take care of it." I love that!!!!! read more

OUCH! This was the worst experience I have ever had with a body shop! If you take your car here its your fault. I had some hail damage and they kept my cars 6 WEEKS!!! The finished workmanship was subpar at best. I had to have the paint touched up. I had to take it back for them to replace pieces the insurance company paid them for . I could go on but why........... read more
