AMAZING!!!! If you're looking for cheap, fresh and amazing tasting sushi, look no further!!!! I've come here about 5 or 6 times, and each time is amazing. Service is always great. Food is always fresh and tastes heavenly. Price is right and you get the bang for your buck. The only down side, is if you want to dine in, its pretty small and can fill up fast. I was craving sushi and this place definitely delivered. They have a whole selection of very unique rolls (a lot of them spicy ;)) and interesting appetizers. We ordered a sushi burger out of curiosity which was quite good. It had fried seaweed instead of the traditional burger buns, tuna, avocado, and imitation crab. Not all the food items were good though. I got a tuna hand roll that was honestly depressing since it had very little tuna, very little rice, and was wrapped loosely. There wasn't any other add ons in the roll and came a bit soggy. My brother ordered a poke bowl which was 80% rice in a giant bowl, probably one scoop of tuna, and three slices of avocado. The rolls seem like a much better bet in general. I will praise their mochi ice cream though, as the flavors tasted quite naturally sweet and the dish had the best presentation. The service was mid tier, especially since we were one of three tables in the entire restaurant. The design and ambiance I would say is nothing special or unique. read more

I have been a regular customer here for about two years. I eat here about 2-3 times a week. I work nearby ,so J sushi is very convenient . The staff here are fantastic, always friendly and attentive. Considering it being a fast food sushi restaurant , their quality is excellent, and also affordable. This is definitely one of the better sushi joints in OC. One of the bigger pros of this restaurant is the price. They are priced SUPER well and you still get quality sushi, compared to some other sushi restaurants where you would end up paying much more. I've been coming here for years, when my family and I started coming it was great. We told everyone we knew about this great sushi place that was reasonably priced. Over the last year, it has been going downhill. I wouldn't necessarily say it's all the food, it's more the service. Mainly, we're always missing things from our orders, this last one was the third time in the last year. They never seem to realize it either, or act suspicious like we're lying. My husband says it's also the food, but I'm pretty sure it's just the incredible inconvenience of returning to pick up forgotten food, having to wait another 20 minutes for it to be made and then getting home and realizing they forgot the sauce. I really like this place when they're on point. There have been plenty of times I've ordered from here (since covid shutdown) when delivery was great, order was accurate, and the food was amazing. But there have also been a few times where the sushi looks like if I made it home, the order was wrong, sushi wasn't labeled and looked nothing like what I ordered. This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants! The staff are all super kind and friendly, the sushi is affordable and yummy, and the environment is relaxed and casual. I have come here probably 20 times and continue to come whenever I'm in the area. My favorite roll here is the salmon lover - the ponzu sauce that they use goes super well with the salmon, and I love how there's salmon both outside and inside the roll. We have given J sushi 100's of dollars of business. We used to even dine in the restaurant before the pandemic. They are nice people and when we dined in the restaurant they were always nice. When the lockdowns happened in march 2020, we still ordered take out from them starting like in May. I think we order from here like once or twice a month. Something happened starting around August or September. I don't know if management changed or what but they have been so late with online orders. The last 3 times I have ordered from them, our order was late by 20-30 minutes every time. One time they said they just started my order during the time when I was supposed to pick it up. It's been quite frustrating since I know this is a good place. But they need to be more honest with their business. If they can't handle a lot of orders on time then don't do it. Be prepared to have your orders ready late. read more

Judge for yourself. I think the price was about $12 for this plate. The pieces of chicken you see around the edge were the only pieces of chicken in my plate. The sushi was great for the price but there was nothing exceptional about it. We ordered iron monkey, gold dragon, salmon lover, rainbow and more! The prices were awesome for the amount of food you get we spent about 80-85 bucks for 10 rolls plus mixed tempura. I was not a fan of the deep fried sushi's- not worth in my opinion. I would recommend gold dragon and blazing night. I didn't like how they overused disposable items for dine-ins. Smh read more

I came here for lunch today and left pretty disappointed. I ordered a crunch roll and The shrimp was RAW! I had 3 pieces before I noticed that it was gray inside and I and threw away the rest. If that's all I ordered I would give it zero stars. Two stars for the other items I ordered (salmon lover roll and cucumber salad). They were not flavorful but at least they were supposed to be raw.
