Incompetent employees at this location. Went through the drive through behind one other car, nobody inside and ordered our food, had to wait for our egg rolls after the rest of our food had completed. We were told to pull around front to stall number 1. The rest of my family ate and was done before the egg rolls came out. Once they had all finished still no egg rolls. So I got out of the car and went inside and was told they were not ready yet. It took my family approximately 10 minutes to eat I know for a fact it takes around 3 minutes to cook the egg rolls as I repair appliances for a living. Got inside and asked about them and they hadn't dropped them yet. Our loaded tiny tacos were loaded even though we were charged for them. Once ready I snatched them out of the counter jockeys hand and she commented on me snatching it out of her hand at which point I told her to shut up. The only reason they are doing this is to keep their times down the restaurant was staffed by 2 people the bitch at the counter and a manager and they were allowing this to occur. Both need to be fired and replaced with somebody who can actually do their job. The stupid bitch was named Jasmine and Her manager both need to be fired. The number of poor reviews and complaints about this single store should say enough. I came here after visiting some bars in downtown Davis to order some jalapeno poppers. I was not drunk. When my order came out, I came to the counter, with my receipt in hand, to pick it up. You gave me a weird look and asked me what the order was, almost as if I was trying to take someone else's order. I watched you as the next customer came up to pick up his order, and you did not do this. Next, I went back up to the counter to ask for some ranch. My friend asked first, and you quickly turned around to grab it, not leaving time for me to ask for anything. You came back and I asked for some more, and I get a nasty reply, "you should have asked me before," and reluctantly went to grab one. Ok, now for strike three. My other friend had ordered a shake and felt that her straw was too short, so she went up to ask if there was a larger straw. I don't know in what tone you said, "no, that's the only one," but when my friend came back she immediately said you were rude. If you were having a bad day, don't take it out on your customers. It just gives the whole place a bad impression. As for the food, tacos are greasy as always and jalapeno poppers were crispy and acceptable. Friends have told me to avoid the nuggets. OMG. I don't think I've ever been inside this Jack In the Box until yesterday. When I was a UCD student (many many years ago) I've only gone through the drivethru.... Long story short, my sister graduated from UCD yesterday, so we met her early in the morning in South Davis to pick up the grad tickets. We had about 40 minutes to kill before heading to the ARC. 40 minutes isn't enough time to go to IHOP or the like, so I tried thinking of fast food places. Unfortunately, Wendy's doesn't serve breakfast, and the only place I can think of is Jack in the Box. Let's just say, I didn't realize how ghetto this place is and I have high tolerance for ghetto places! When we walked in, there was quite a stench, not sure what it was, but it wasn't nice. The customers weren't exactly...uuurgh...the type you'd want to dine next to, for lack of a better word. I made sure my purse was close to my body. Let's just say, I probably would've walked out if my husband wasn't with my mom and I. That was probably the fastest fast food breakfast we've ever eaten. We just wanted to get the hell out of there. I didn't finish my coffee, which wasn't very good anyways. My half breakfast sandwich was so greasy, I kept complaining how greasy my chin felt all day even hours after I washed it off. I felt so bad suggesting this particular Jack n Box. Should've just drove down to Mace to McDonald's even if it was out of the way. Should've just gone to Starbucks. My bad!!! I want to give them 2 stars because usually their food is some of my favorite fast food. But when I went the other day, their order screen was broken (not a big deal) so the young woman up at the window shouted for me to pull forward. She explained their broken order screen and said she could take my order, but I was hesitant because her mask was completely under her chin. Not covering her nose OR mouth. I still felt thirsty at least so asked for a soda, which she said they didn't have. Because I felt uneasy already, I decided to not have anything. As I was leaving, she said something like "bye love ya!" which felt very snarky, but who knows, maybe it wasn't. You know, it saddens me to see people giving Jack-In-the-Box these low reviews, because Jack-In-the-Box was always there for my (drunk) friends and me when we had the munchies after a late night of partying, and nothing else was open in Davis, and if you wanted anything else, you'd have to drive to Dixon or Sacramento to get Denny's (with a car full of tired drunks.. no thanks)... either way, that's at least a 1/2hr drive each way... The kewl thing about eating here those late nights, is that you get a chance to see other stupid, drunk people like yourselves being all loudy and rowdy for whatever reason after the parties have long been over. It gives you a chance to reflect and ask yourself, "Hmm.. am I really like these losers here?"(not possibly you though... hehe). Anyhoo, in all seriousiness though... I give much props to Jack N' the Box. I was always able to fill my empty stomach w/ their delicious curly fries and chicken sandwiches (especially on a po' starvin' college student's budget - yay!) Being a college student in Davis definitely has its ups and downs, one major down being that everything closes extremely early. It's times like these that makes one love Jack in the Box for being open 24-7, fulfilling all munchies cravings. Some friends and myself found ourselves in this drunchies predicament around 2AM, so of course the solution was Jack in the Box. I must say that this was probably the most exciting fast food trip of my life, but maybe we're just fun people (hah). So we roll up and see a mass of college kids inside so we obviously go to the Drive Thru (not that we would want to get out of car anyways). We order our food and drive up to the window, and the fun begins! Our server hands us our drinks and then proceeds to hand us our straws, in the process dropping one straw and yelling out loudly "Shieeeet!", just. like. that. We all stare wide eyed, and she apologizes saying "It's hell-uh busy." When she walks away we burst out laughing. So we're sitting there waiting to pay, and she hands us our bag of food and walks away. She comes back and asks if there's anything else we need, and we say no. She says thank you, so we drive away. We didn't pay. Win. But drunk me was a little paranoid so I told my friends to turn around and go back and pay. I'll just say that THAT is my good deed for the year! We get back to our house and pull everything out of our bag, only to be disappointed that there is no. taco. sauce. We rummage our cabinets and find no redeeming substitute. To give context it was 5 AM, no line, my order was a burger and chicken nuggets. The customer service was nice. HOWEVER, with no line I expected my food to be fully cooked. The chicken nuggets were so mushy I only was able to bite into one and if I wasn't so tired I would have came back to the store to complain. My friends and I were going in the drive thru around 1:30am and usually it takes about 20-30 min to wait for a line of 5 cars. So we were pretty patient with the expected wait. When we got to the ordering machine, we started ordering while taking turns telling them our order. The employee would say "anything else's" or "is that it" without repeating the orders back to us, so we weren't sure if she ever heard each of our orders. So because of that, we had to repeat some orders or say it a little louder to make sure she heard us. All of a sudden, she says "you don't have to scream, if you're gonna be rude get out of the line I'm not going to take your order." We sat in silence because we didn't expect such a reaction, because we did not intend to be rude or screaming. We were pretty disappointed, not only that we waited so long to not get our food, but that we were given such hostility for just trying make sure we could get our orders right by trying to help her hear us. read more

I came here once after a night out with my friends30-40 minutes before the close. Pulled up the the drive-thru just before the mic and 2 employees yelled at me "WE'RE CLOSED." In addition, they were standing in the middle of the drive-thru and DID NOT MOVE. So I had to back up in order to leave. Place is ALWAYS packed with drunk college kids being stupid. Been here too many times to count. Been coming here ever since I was a kid. Hopefully I cut down on my visits sometime soon... Anyway, it's a Jack-in-the-Box, so you pretty much know what you'll get in terms of food. Every once and awhile (sometimes too much) they seem to get orders wrong. But it's fast-food, so I won't hold it against them too much. Something else I've noticed is that although they serve there whole menu all day, if you order something with egg in it after breakfast time, like an Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich or something, it takes a whole lot longer, something you notice while waiting in line at the drive thru. I've been asked a few times to park and have them bring my order out to me, since it would take a little while longer for them to cook it. Very frustrating. Perfect place to go to when late night studying on those midterms/finals. Went through the drive-thru late at night on a Thursday morning (2 AM) and ordered the munchies meal. It comes with a drink, 2 tacos, halfie fries (regular and curly) and your choice of an entree. For my entree I ordered the Stacked Cheeseburger which is basically a grilled cheese and a cheeseburger combined into one. Not bad for fast food late at night. I was freakin' satisfied. My only complaint was that the drive thru took forever. By forever I don't mean in-n-out-drive-thru forever but I was in the drive-thru for a good 15 minutes. read more

Every time that we go here we usually order at least 5 items and every single time they forget at least one of those items. Every. Single. Time. I don't remember the last time that we actually got all of our order. And they usually aren't very pleasant when we get to the window. We usually like to tip them even through the drive thru because we understand that it is difficult working in the food industry, but this has happened at least 5 too many times. I never know how to rate chain restaurants and fast food restaurants. compared to other Jack in the boxes, this place is just a little below average. It's often quite dirty, the parking isn't great given that half the spaces are claimed for wells fargo around it, the drive through is narrow, the staff aren't always happy (but who could blame them) and the food is ... well the food is like all other Jack in the Box franchises. The only thing that baffles me often is that I don't think this branch actually cleans their oil all that often because most times when I get curly fries, or the mini churros, they come out pretty bitter read more

I have never eaten anything here that tasted even remotely good. One can only guess why I punished myself by coming more than once. The only selling point of this place is location and convenience. Its located very centrally and near many different things in Davis. And its open a lot of hours. In general - if fast food is your thing - get In and Out. compared to In and Out this place is a dumpster. I do not recommend. Its definitely not bad enough to get only one star though. No one in line, but had to wait 5 minutes to order. No biggie. I order breakfast only to be told after I pay that it would be 10 minutes, so I switch to a chicken sandwich made plain & the lady at the window reiterated that I wanted it plain. I pull into a parking spot while they do that. A car pulls in next to me, but gets his food first. I didn't think much of it because my order had totally changed. I get my food and go home only to find the sandwich made wrong. I go back & I'm polite about it, they're nice, too. I said I wanted it plain, so when I get the sandwich after I left, hoping it's correct since it's hard to mess up twice, I find only the chicken. No cheese. No bacon.
