Strangely never been to this Jack in the Box in DTLB, even though it's close to our home. So when my mother-in-law clipped a really good coupon for a family meal for $17, we decided to dine-in for lunch. It ended up not being the smoothest experience, but the food was good for the price we paid. Jack still sends out glossy paper coupons in the weekly mail flyer. The one we used was for 2 Jr Chicken Sandwiches ($2.99 each), 2 2-Taco pack ($1.99 each), 2 Jumbo Jacks ($5.79 each), and 4 value fries ($1.69 each) , so ended up being a savings of $11.30. Also got a fountain drink for $2.99 (so self serve fountain at this location). There was confusion where the discount was applied correctly (I saw the total with my own eyes), but when I charged it to the credit card, it rang up as the non-discounted total. It definitely wasn't done intentionally (but would have gone unnoticed if I hadn't noticed), but it took a while for it to be rectified (the cashier just ended up refunding me the total of the original order and just re-entered the order again, with the discount sticking this time). The food came out a bit later, and definitely tasted better than it looked. I understand why folks who grew up with this food would be nostalgic. And the Jumbo Jack tastes the closest to my favorite fast food burger (BK's Whopper), except it's more consistently made, with the right amount of toppings. This one tasted good, and the fries were relatively fresh as well. So the food and value was great, but demerits for a POS system that allows a charge to be different than what rang up on the register. read more

Moses is a great manager. One of the ladies working there said I couldn't refill my drink which was only water. I buy a breakfast sandwich almost every morning and a large cup for water which I pay for. I did a quick 20 min cardio then drove by to refill it with cold water. He said that was fine and recognized me as the customer that comes in daily and gives them business. Thank you Moses for sticking up for your regular customers! This should not have been an issue. I stop in this location to place an order. I'm on walking in the small dining area I noticed at the register there's five individuals seemingly unsure of what they want to order. I asked the supervisor that was working the register excuse me may I use the restroom I'll wait to order please.? His response was and he gestured you're going to have to wait till I'm done with this motioning to all the people in front of him. Shockingly my expression was I asked so you can't just push a button I have to wait for you to push a button? Late night/early morning. Whatever y'all consider 2am to be, I was there! Usually this place is packed but there was only one car in line. The cashier took my order and everything was pretty much fast and easy. And also ACCURATE. I ordered the munchie meal which I think is a good value! So most of the review is about the location its self . It is old at least 40-50 years old. It has been remodeled numerous times . The small open air patio became the small dinning room. The lot is very small making entering and exiting the lot difficult . The drive thru lane is narrow . You can get the same food and same price at much nicer locations. read more

Went there on Saturday 9/27/25 around 11:55 am to get breakfast before my husband and I went next door to Long Beach Colonial Mortuary to view my father in law body before the funeral. I used to order from this Jack in the Box location on Uber Eats quite often when I was starving in the earlier morning hours. I used to have no problems with it until very recently. The last THREE times I ordered from here on Uber Eats, they always forgot something. The first time seemed like an honest mistake, but the other two times were ridiculous. I used to work food service, so I understand that mistakes can happen, but THREE TIMES in a row is a bit much. The first order, they forgot to put a hash brown in the order. No big deal as mistakes like that happen. Second order, however, I order a full combo. Well, they forgot the drink. Oh, but they remembered to put the straw in the bag. Second time now they did this to me. In retrospect, that should have clued me in not to order from there again, but the location was the quickest for delivery time. I decided to give them one more chance. Third times the charm. Well, not in this case. I ordered yet another combo. Well, they forgot my drink. AGAIN.
