When we arrived found the cafe to be less crowded than expected. It looked clean but had a unique odor. We were seated immediately and asked for drink orders with our menu. The service was good and prompt. My wife had the Denver Omelette with scones which look spectacular and she said was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with hash browns and sourdough toast. The chicken was good and seasoned well. The gravy was too thick and not very hot. I was not expecting gravy over the entire plate especially the hash browns. It was way too much gravy as you will see in the photo. The experience overall was not bad just not something I would choose again.

Jacks on Wells in Reno. Excellent variety of food, all priced appropriately for hardy amt you receive. Service with a smile included too. Great coffee and other beverages. Scones made soft and to order in place of bread or biscuits. All their food at this location is excellent. Want something ask, they will if they can usually. Great parking. Atmosphere inviting and friendly.

I met my cousin for breakfast at this location. The ambiance was like a very warn out restaurant. The booth upholstery was very poor. Visible torn vinyl, collapsed padding in the seats. The floors were filthy. The waitress was very personable and brought our coffee immediately. I ordered the chili releno omelet with crispy home fries. The omelet was quite good though the Mexican sauce was very poorly done, and an excessive amount of crema was added. Sadly, the ambiance had an overwhelming nature to my experience. Not likely to return, absent a major cleanup or refurbishment. The food I would rate a 3 star, the staff a 4 star and the ambiance a 2 star or less. Composite score is a three.

We had lunch at the Jack's Cafe's newest location on Kietzke Lane (the same space that the old Lily's restaurant once occupied). We arrived at the restaurant a little after they'd opened for lunch service, so crowds were still a little light, and our 4-person party was seated almost immediately. The menu was vast. it listed so many choices for breakfast and lunch items, plus a selection of appetizers and a limited selection of desser. After the bus-person returned with our drinks (diet Pepsis, a lemonade and an iced tea), we placed our food orders with our server: a Cheeseburger, the Clubhouse sandwich, a Patty-melt and a "Lo Que Sea" or "Surprise Me" Special platter (comprised of steak topped with grilled onions, eggs (any style), refried beans and rice, and a chile relleno-- which sadly at the time I ordered, they were out, so the server just gave us a discount on the price) plus your choice of flour or corn tortillas, or your choice of toast. The food was tasty and prepared well, the portion size was plentiful, and the price was reasonable. The service was attentive and polite; the young lady that served us was genuinely nice. The restaurant had been remodeled and has a black-and-white decor theme; it's sleek and modern, and looks clean. Overall, we had a good dining experience and we will more than likely drop by again someday.

TL DR: not a great experience for us. Food is okay, ambiance is okay, service was off- maybe a super busy day? Looking for a quick breakfast after some fun family activities at Rancho my family and I were looking for a nice breakfast/lunch spot. We've passed by Jacks multiple times on the road so we decided to give it a try. Ambiance: 3/5 I believe this restaurant used to be a chain so you can see the bones of that, but it's accommodating for small and large parties. And the tables were cleaned. Service: 1/5 Initially the waitstaff was super friendly and kind with offering suggestions and taking our order. However it went down hill from there. No one checked in on our table once, our waters were not filled, and no one asked how our food was during the meal. I know restaurants get busy and they can be under staffed but not sure I can justify that experience. We were also sharing and requested an extra plate from 2 different people whom we had to flag down, both forgot the plate. Disappointed in service. Food: 2.5/5 Comparable to those larger chains like Dennys but supporting a local business is the redeeming factor. The pancakes were okay but lacked some flavor. The bacon was crispy. The price point was slightly higher than competitors. The blueberry waffles were better. I believe they were possibly frozen blueberries would have probably added more depth and complexity of flavor with some fresh blueberries. Crispy.

This place behind the car wash has been here for a while, I really love the inside of this restaurant!! but I don't know what happened yesterday, when we came in, we were greeted pretty fast, sat down, and we ordered an Arnold Palmer, it was more lemonade than iced tea, there's probably only a quarter of a cup of iced tea on top of the lemonade and we stirred it and it was just way too sweet! Darn it!! he definitely did not know how to make an Arnold Palmer!! we usually get a sandwich and fries and share, and then we get a soup or salad! I ordered a cup of chicken tortilla soup and the husband ordered chili! He did not like the chili and my soup was too thick for me, so he ate my soup! We ordered a BLAT and fries! It was nothing to write home about, because there was no presentation, I don't think he really even cared to make the sandwich. It looked awful, ingredients were small on the inside, and it just wasn't eventful. I guess you would call it.! It was just like dumped on the plate with the pile of fries and I don't think that chef really cared about it whatsoever! I don't think we'll be back here, the owner was whistling in it about ripped my ears off. It was so shrill, it just wasn't a very comfortable environment.! The Server was fantastic by the way, very attentive! A+ to her!! Will stick with the other Jack's café!

This was the breakfast burrito. It was delish!!! Wish it had a bit more sauce. If we're gonna eat it messy might as well load it up!

Food is always delish and such big portions. Always enough to take leftovers or share with someone.

I have not been to this Jack's in many years. I have been here long enough that I went here when it was a Sambo's restaurant. Pleased to see the place has been refreshed but not so much that it looked totally different, it looked as it always has and that's a good thing. Very attentive staff and the food we ordered was excellent. I don't say excellent usually, it was just a Denver omelet, a side of fruit and sourdough toast. The side of fruit was an option rather than an add on, really liked that. That omelet was cooked perfectly and I reiterate, my meal was excellent. I suspect I will make an excuse to go back and I know I will reorder that omelet. My son had the Rueben with a side of potato salad. I did try his potato salad and it tasted so chilled and so fresh. One minor thing that I very much enjoyed, the bill comes with a pen that has a pink ribbon rose on the top so you don't accidentally take it. Silly, but it really looked nice. An unexpected nice touch. Much better than a blue daisy!

Love this restaurant! Great atmosphere. (Former Lili's) Franktown Corners. We love the great service we receive from Carla. Delicious garden eggs Benedict. I also love their Banana Strawberry Nutella creps combo with scrambled eggs & bacon. Can't wait to try their chicken fried chicken on our next visit.

Wow! This place is so retro and old yet totally a hidden gem! So glad we tried it before getting back on the road. It reminded me of an old Lyons restaurant, only much larger. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with fried potatoes. The potatoes were so fresh and perfectly fried. Not overly salted either. They tasted like fried mashed potatoes. My husband loved his plate of chicken fried steak and fluffy biscuits with delicious gravy. Huge portions served here. The server was great too. Came by a couple of times to check on us and refill our coffee cups. We'll definitely be returning here next time we visit the area.

Scones were absolutely delicious. More like a sopapilla maybe

We found parking right away. We noticed the large banner outside touting best burgers. Was craving fish and chips, buttttt decided to go with a burger. Ricardo was our server.. we were greeted as we were stepping through the door. Told to take a seat anywhere. Ricardo recommended "any" burger with a smile. I asked whether I should order onion rings or fries, he said order the Texas Toothpicks.. Combo of beer battered onions and jalapeños. Ok let's do this. Richard's must have checked in on us 5-7 times during our meal, great service! Actually we had an entire conversation about his service, friendly, efficient, quick, chatty, and gets the order right! Order Bloody Mary served with banana pepper, green olive and lime.. no salted rim, which is fine, missing salty component for me BECAUSE I LIKE SALT... Drink was GOOD. Bloody Mary and Corona brought icy cold within two minutes. Jalapeno burger and fries son loved his burger! Son felt his burger had appropriate amount of salt and great char crusting. Garlic butter burger and Texas Toothpicks which is beer battered onions and jalapeños. In my opinion this burger starts with the bread.. Delicious soft bun that actually fits the patty. The patty had a nice sear on it, it was under seasoned and almost well done. The burger was lacking salt component to complement the garlic. Had the burger been seasoned, and had I have ordered it medium rare, (my mistake) it would have been really good. The burger did come without condiments which I appreciate because I can put my own in appropriate amounts to my liking. I added a pinch of salt, no complaining and we were good to go! I didn't even eat 1/4 of my food! The burgers and portions were HUGE!! The Texas Toothpicks were really good, a good fry was achieved on them. They held up to being dipped in ranch. 1/2 order hot wings and fries The wings were ordered breaded and hot. They had a good crisp, and were fried appropriately! Good amount of salt. The fries were served super crispy, piping hot and perfectly salted. The order came with carrots and celery without having to ask. Ranch.. Ranch is a serious condiment in our household with food like this. It was good. An appropriate amount was served with wings, and of course for us fries and ranch go hand in hand. The restaurant was clean, all staff was friendly and great service!!!
