The food was ok I feel like there wasn't many options to pick from my friend recommended this place and swore up and down it's better than an other soul food restaurant. They have a back area where you can sit and eat. Parking is hard to find. The staff and service was great they have very nice artwork. They have free WiFi if needed. The place looked very nice and clean. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Good food , good service ... brought a pan of rice and peas here for a work event and it was amazing . I paid for my order on the spot and was not disappointed. The establishment was clean and the food was presented well . Definitely coming back for a sit down visit ..

I went to Jacob's restaurant on Lenox Ave and Malcolm X Blvd. to grab a bite. The display of various food and dessert was pleasing to the eyes and made my mouth water. It's self-serving, so you can pack your food in the containers they supplied. The ambiance was good and aromatic. I could smell the food the moment I walked in. I had chicken, pasta, fish, rice, etc. To top it off, I had jello and banana pudding. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately, I started eating before I realized I should have taken a picture of my lunch first; that's how good the food was. The price was worth the trip. They charge by the weight. Bring your appetite. I recommend Jacob's restaurant.

Jacob Restaurant ( BUFFET) OVERALL: 7.5/10 Man this place is bomb as fudge... What a hidden gem. FOOD: 7.5/10 This place was UHMAZING. It's a buffet style soul food restaurant. I got the oxtail, ribs, jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, candy yams. This ain't a place where you go tryna eat classy food. This a place to go to get STUFFED UP. Pricing is $6.5 a pound, this costed me around $12. I think it's super worth compared to pricing around the area for Carribean food. They got a wide variety of selections. SERVICE: NOT SERVICE RESTAURANT CLEANLINESS: 6.1/10 The food is STACKED TO THE MAX, I LOVE IT. But gotta say it's not covered and looks pretty messy. Didn't really affect me at all but it might be a problem for some. ATMOSPHERE: 10/10 If you walk in there, it's food heaven. #foodporn #soul #yelp #review #nofilter #carribean #food

    Plastic in food

Found some plastic in the food. It seems to have been cooled in the salmon. Called the restaurant asked them to refund us, they have refused too. It's a shame we always liked this place

I heard about this place on Yelp. A must try when visiting NYC. The ride to Harlem was well worth it. We were a bit disappointed when we got there and found out they still haven't reopened up their inside dining area yet. Nevertheless, we got to go plates and took the bus to Central Park and had sort of a picnic there. Myself, my wife and kids all really enjoyed this food. Probably he best soul food restaurant we've been to.

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Even though it looks old school inside, it's actually very organized the way they have multiple shelves with various packaged foods. It was a bit overwhelming trying to decide what to get. The part I appreciate the most is how there's records of when every batch is cooked and when they need to be disposed of. I think it's because they put these prepared foods in room temperature and need to be more careful about bacteria growth. Per my observation, most of the items could only last ~3 hours. I kept seeing staff go around to check inventory and the time. I went in at 4pm and 8pm, and surprisingly it was busier late afternoon. At 8pm, more than half of the options were gone and there's also plenty of seating. I think they open till much later, so perhaps they're taking a break until people come eat before/after drinks. Less options on the shelves also meant less of a struggle figuring out what to eat. I saw staff put 50% off stickers on two items. I'm assuming it's because they're both reaching the end of their shelf life and have a lot leftover. I ended up getting white fish fillet jeon and japchae with beef bulgogi. Appreciate how they have microwaves and plenty of seats. I actually tried tasting the items cold and no, they need to be microwaved. I wanted either jeon or kimbap as one of my items. I ended up getting fish jeon since it seems healthier with big pieces of fillet vs other jeons seem to have more batter. It was simple without much flavor. It needed reheating. The sauce included tasted like a light soy sauce. I originally didn't think I would want to use it but it actually enhanced the fish jeon without being too salty. I'm satisfied with this item but don't think I'll get it next time. I was thinking of japchae or fried rice for my other option, but the fried rice options I was interested in were sold out by the time I returned at 8pm. On the first few bites I didn't like the japchae and beef bulgogi. It was a bit too sweet and oily for me, but then I got used to it and it grew on me. I was actually wishing to add some black pepper to it but also got used to it without. The portion is pretty big and I felt full before finishing the whole dish. I'd be glad to get this again.
