I came in to purchase a car for my 17 year old daughter. We worked with Alex Quinteros who was a good sales rep and helped us find the right car. No issue there. We found a 2020 loaner car and used the in house finance manager. He was also very good. Here is where is went bad, Alex told us the car was "out for detail " and we couldn't see it over the weekend, because of that. We took delivery of the car when it was raining out. They reviewed the technology in the car and that was another good experience. The only part that ruined the buying experience was when we got home the car was not prepared for delivery. Nobody even ran a vacuum. Food between the seats, etc. There is sap on the trunk. The fact that they missed the cleaning a loaner car before delivering, should raise concern for anyone who thinks you can "trust" a dealer to do their part. I will now have pay to have it detailed and paint correction on trunk, if even possible, and some other minor scratches buffed out. Overall I was disappointed. Hence the old metaphor "never trust a used car salesman". Once the sale is made, they don't want to know you. I called Alex back and unfortunately he didn't care too much. "I should have called him" he said. That's what I just did! Hey Alex, you said the car was out for detail, did you even look over the car you sold me? Don't you guys have a checklist or some 150 point checklist for pre-owned. I would like to know who signed off on this car at the dealer after the checklist? Why wasn't this car cleaned? Nevermind detailed. It should have been delivered to me in the garage clean, next to the showroom. you have that nice little garage for delivery but Instead , my car was delivered out in the parking lot , in the pouring rain. read more

First off they tried to convince me my radiator was not cracked, that putting in a gallon every month was normal due to it being the winter. Waited a month to bring in my car for a cracked radiator in order to get a loaner car. They called me the day before to say that they sold their last last loaner car. My 2015 Range Rover Sport caught on fire and I received no warning symbols on my dashboard. I just had a newborn baby so the fact that the rep (Sameh Haidary) at Land Rover just totally ignored my claim is the reason why I will never purchase a Range Rover again. I hate being lied to and people or businesses that take advantage of people. I asked Sameh Haidary if I could speak with a manager or a supervisor. He referred me to Mark Hazlewood (Service Director) and I explained to him that Sameh lied to me by telling me that my car caught on fire due to a faulty alternator, and that I needed to sign the contract so that my vehicle would be ready in a few days. I signed the contract and 3 days later, Sameh tells me it would cost an additional $14,000 in order for my vehicle to be back to normal. Sameh knew that I never wanted to pay $4,200 just for an alternator and a battery. I know mechanics that can fix that issue at a fraction of the cost. The only reason why I got my vehicle towed to Land Rover is because my vehicle caught on fire without getting any warning symbols on the dashboard. And when I did a keyword research query on Google "range rover sport catching fire", I noticed hundreds of videos and artciels of Range Rover catching on fire. I figured there might be a recall or some sort of resolution to the issue. At that point I requested to have the alternator and battery removed and Mark and Sameh agreed to that. A few hours later, I received a call from Sameh stating that they changed their minds and that I had to pay $4,800 in order to receive my vehicle. I called up Mark and told him again that the only reason why I signed the contract to get started with repairing my vehicle is because Sameh specifically told me that the fire was caused by the alternator and weak battery. I signed the agreemeent, and 3 days later Sameh tells me it will cost an additional $14,000 before I can regularly drive the vehicle. I was lied to and taken advantage of while Mark and Sameh stayed biased instead of trying to make things right. read more

Went in yesterday to view, price and test drive a F-Pace Jaguar. Walked in, they were moderately busy but had more than enough staff as sales reps were walking the floor and some were just sitting at their desks not with customers. Spent 30 min in the dealership, walking around and never once was I approached and asked if I needed assistance or help. At one point, I was sitting right in front of a sales rep in a car while he was at his desk and he didn't even move but as soon as 2 gentleman walked in to look at a car he jumped up. Additional the dealership is extremely overpriced- charging a $10k market adjustment on jaguars which is a fee for high demand, low inventory. For anyone that knows Jaguars, they are always a low inventory vehicle (even prior to the pandemic) and inflation and the economy hasn't had an impact on their production per se and the market adjustment fee should really not be applied to them. Every car in their stock was $25-30k higher than MSRP. Ended up going to another Jaguar/Land Rover dealer and had a great experience read more

Sister bought a pre-owned Range Rover there. Had it about 2 years. Paid a lot for it. Had it serviced THERE. Took it in with a strange noise and was told she needed a new motor. The thing was in 1/2 dozen times prior with zero issues and hundreds of dollars worth of routine maintenance. She took it to a Range Rover specialist who said whoever was in charge of changing the oil NEVER changed it. She had a pint of sludge where there was supposed to be 9 quarts of oil. After going back to dealership to confront them, they took ZERO responsibility. The tech who "supposedly" did the service was no longer working there . Surprise surprise. She had all her service records, minimal mileage, and no recourse. She now had a non running 4000 pound paper weight in her driveway with 12 more months of car payments. She is looking into legal action, even if it's not cost effective. Do not buy or service your vehicle at this place.They are awful people. They do not perform the services that they over charge for. They do not care about the people they serve. She is out thousands. read more

This review is SERVICE related. I've owned several Jaguars as well as countless high-end cars, so I am accustomed to the pricier service environment at the dealership. Granted this dealership is still grossly overpriced ($375 for a standard oil change!) but hey, it's a dealership so they can charge what they want. But my experiences here, which are several now, far exceed anything I've encountered in the past. The cars I've taken here are new cars, requiring little or no service, but there have been non-stop upsell attempts with every visit. And these aren't small upsells, several of them have been four figure "recommended service" add-ons. Look, naturally maintaining your car is important, but if you look at the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule versus what this dealership attempts to sell you, you'll be astonished. Beyond that, several of the service advisors have used the same verbiage so it seems they've been trained to upsell customers into maintenamce and service that is entirely unnecessary and purely a way for them too drive revenue for their service department. The people are pleasant, and I will assume their mechanical ability and certification is on par with any high-end dealership, but if your service is not covered, and particularly if you are a customer off of warranty, then you DO NOT want to go here. I would recommend the incredible local specialized alternative that I've found, but then this would look like an advertisement and not a review. So proceed with caution for any service with Jaguar Freeport, and go in with your eyes open knowing that your service "advisor" will be advising you to spend money on unnecessary maintenance and arbitrary service add-ons. And if you still insist on going there for service, when they inevitably "strongly recommend" these ridiculous maintenance add-on scams, do like Nancy Reagan said and JUST SAY NO. read more

Today I was totally disappointed. In 2017 I left the Ford Eddie Bauer family to joining the Jaguar Land Rover experience. I will say that my first experience working with team Paramus was well above and beyond my expectations. The only inconvenience I experienced was the travel I took from Bklyn to NJ. This is why I choose to get all my service from the Freeport office. I understand everyone wants to sell cars but I felt like staying with the salesman I was comfortable with. In 2017 Bobby ( Service Manager at Freeport office)took care of me with great customer service. I never paid for the inspection 2017, 2018 & 2019. My annual service was spot on and always in a timely manner. Since the service in both offices (Freeport/ NJ) impressed me so much I decided to stay in the family and upgrade to the Discovery 2020. This is where my story takes a turn. My favorite salesman Garrette Schwinn from the Paramus office explained that i will need to take it to NY to get the car inspection. Totally understandable. I also needed to get the plates put on the vehicle. I made my appointment at the Freeport office as usual. All my info was still in their system. Now for the kicker.... I had to pay $10.00 for the inspection and $92.50 to put the license plate on the car. I have no problem paying but it was a principal thing at this point and couldn't believe my ears. I explained to the service manager how I never paid for the past years inspections and I always come to to their office for all my service. Apparently the only explanation I received was " we only give free inspections if you purchased the car at their office". Needless to say I was not happy. I thought I was joining the family of Jaguar / Land Rover. Family, being the operative word. Garrette told me to come back to NJ and they will put the plates on for free however, I was already there. Regarding the inspection, I could have taken it any gas station in bklyn to get it done and save the gas. The one thing they said that almost made me feel better was - they were washing the car complements of the house. Which normally cost $185.00. About service dept. Recently had surgery and very uncomfortable. They called me if I wanted to get a service done and if I'd be waiting for the car. I said no I won't be waiting. I was told ok we'll set you up with a loaner car. I came in, the attendant tells me oh it's only maintenance, you don't need a loaner. I asked, can I have the loaner still? He says no, it won't take long only an hour. I asked again, I'd like the loaner please, again he says, no, I bet it will take me an hour to get you a loaner and then you'd be all done anyway. He then escorts me to the waiting area to wait for the car. I'm sorry but.... wtf? I was not planning at all to come here and wait for my car. Regardless if it's because I'm in pain and just want to be home so I can pop my pain pills or if I had other plans. Why am I sitting in the wait area right now? I didn't plan on it at all and needless to say, I'm pretty upset about it. Won't be coming back here for anything. Besides their sales are fkg terrible. I bought my car from New Jersey. If I wanted to spend my life working to pay for a jaguar I'd come to Freeport jaguar Update: stopped in this place to give it a second go around because there was an issue my car this time. Finally after an hour wait let me have a loaner car. Only to wait 6 days without notice of what was wrong with my car. Find out it needs a part they don't have. Now 10 days later I still dont have a fixed vehicle and I am paying for a toll I never used in the Bronx. This place really blows. Update 2: patiently waited a full 30 days for a response/update from Freeport about the part need for the car. They never reached out, so I called for an update. The service advisor I was assigned has no memory of me but told me the part has been back ordered. Perplexed he says he'll call me back as soon as he can find out why the part has been back ordered for a month. Ok, I mean no rush it's not a vital part to the car but something I am paying for and should work. I'll wait for your call back Craig. Update 3: I waited another 7 days for a call back from Craig, my service advisor. So, I called. He still doesn't have a memory of me, but again tells me the part is back ordered and again perplexed as to why. Again, tells me he has to find out why and will let me know. Do not get your car serviced here. I brought my car in for a coolant leak and they charged me an absurd amount of money to fix it. I declined and asked for my car back. They never but my engine back together and when my original service mechanics tried to start the car it caught on fire. The case is now going to court and we have all the pictures and documents. read more

I purchased a Used 2009 XF from Lou on (11/16/12). Delivery of my car was delayed, so Lou bought me two rap cd's (of all things). Then he kindly openend them before he gave them to me so that he can upload them to his laptop. Very tasteless. Upon signing my contract the dealership attempted to include in my contract a $12.50 fee for tire disposal because as a certified car they had to replace my tires. Naturally I refused to pay for it. (I should have walked away then) Lou printed me a copy of all of the features on the car which included a heated steering wheel. Needless to say the car did not have this feature. I called Lou (11/20/12) and informed him of this and he initially denied telling me that the car had this feature. After I told him that I had proof of this in writing he then admitted to the mistake. I asked him how I could be compensated for this option not being available and he said Steve(MGR) was out of the office all day and he was awaiting a response. The next day Lou sends me a text message (11/21/12) saying that Steve is going to speak with the owner but he's already taken off for the holiday... and I should give him until Monday. Of course I did not receive a response the entire week. Finally 11/30/12 I called the dealership to find out what is going on. Lou asks me what did I want him to do and I told him that I wanted him to make the situation right. Lou then began to tell me that I have not been cooperative the entire time and he had enough of me.... He was extremely rude on the phone with me and stated there was nothing more he could do. I asked to speak with Steve and he said Steve was too busy to talk to me today because it was the end of the month and I would have to call back on Monday. This was just another example of their dedication to customer service. If I was buying a car I'm sure he would not have been too busy to talk! So I asked for the name and number of someone else I could speak with. Lou said I could call the manager of great neck Jaguar. Then all of a sudden he could not remember his name. Lou then told me to call 1800 Jaguar.... Which isn't even the correct number. I was not asking for anything but for them to deliver on what they promised but I was made to feel as though I was a bother. Lou has little to know product knowledge and his lack of it combined with terrible customer service made my buying experience an absoulute nightmare!!! Stay away from this dealership! As a luxury car brand, both the quality and the service are really disappointing. The roof of 2017 f-pace is very noisy. Go check it and tell me that it can't be repaired. Let customers continue to use it under the trouble of noise? Which car brand has such after-sales service, I really doubt it. This is a century-old luxury brand. Although the service staff are very friendly, customers are most concerned about problem solving, right? It feels very bad! The noise still exists and is very troublesome. I will not even give this place not one half of a star. The dealership in Freeport N.Y. Is the very worst place to go for service. Let me start by saying I took my SUV in on September 24th with an appointment for 8am. My SUV was returned on October 2, 2022, yes a whole Month. The sales not a human at all she was an older being. She was so cold that I see why she pick this place to work at. Birds of a feather belong together. Next she did not inform me about anything. I had to keep calling, she would not try to return my calls made to ( it ). She has to be hated by her family that is why she is there, she heard we are a family dealership, she wanted to be wanted. The service very unprofessional, I was told I needed a battery. So I brought a battery. I asked for my old battery, I was told that it would cost me 50 dollar. Which is so bad to charge me for MY BATTERY. So I told them to keep the battery. Next my SUV is brand new I have 20,000 miles. When I received my SUV, the hood of my SUV has so many scratches on the hood. I am so discussed with this dealership. I hope that they shut down real soon. We came here and ended up buying a Land Rover from Paul S. He was so nice to us, and accommodating. He called us on his day off to make sure everything was in place with our paper work, he worked with us on numbers, and answered all of our questions. He sealed the deal for us, the car is amazing but to work with someone who was one on one and caring made all the difference. We didn't get this feeling at any other dealership we went to. I would recommend this dealership to anyone, and to see Paul there! -We had our 4 year old son with us who was running around all over the place and driving us crazy, Paul was really comforting and said not to worry he has grandkids and he understands. This was by far the worst dealership I've been to. They actually deserve zero stars. I walked in through side entrance and since no one greeted me I figured I'll just take a look at the Jaguar F Pace model on the floor myself. After about five minutes I started to wonder why no one approached me yet since there didn't seemed to be any other customers in the showroom at the time, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt so when a representative walked by me I asked if there was a sales rep available to speak with. His response was "I doubt it, but when she's done she'll check for you." He was referring to the lady at the front desk. The guy never even looked at me when he responded. I should have went with my first instinct and walked out at that point but instead I patiently waited while the young lady tried to get a rep to assist me. After about four no's someone actually agreed to see me, woohoo. Mind you I can see a few reps sitting at their desk seemingly not very busy. A gentlemen named Brian Gunder came over to greet me and he didn't seem enthusiastic by any means. I told him what I was interested in and after that it was like pulling teeth to get information about the car. He basically browsed Jaguars website and read descriptions to me like I was in the 5th grade. I told him that I already did that myself at home and very politely asked what did THEY have to offer, and that's when he pulled up Freeport's info. Now either Brian has no idea what he's trying to sell or he is just an asshole, I'm thinking a little of both. Unless I asked a question he really had nothing to say to me. He managed to slip in a comment asking if I was really interested in actually buying a car but I played dumb and just responded that I would have to test drive it first. I'm not sure about their other visitors but I didn't walk in on a Monday night so I could waste my time which is exactly what I seemed to be doing so before I lost my cool, I calmly said that the my interaction with him felt weird. He asked why so I told him that it seemed that I was more interested in buying a car than he was selling one. He said something about answering my questions and then tried to insult my intelligence by saying that I can't grasp the differences between the details in a few of the cars that I did manage to get him to show me but really Brian that's sort of your job. If you're frustrated because I have a few questions since you're all over the place with different prices, showing me models with add on packages that I already informed you whether I was interested in or not then you need to find another job. See I'm not a car salesman, you are...a poor one at that, I'm a currency trader at a value investment firm so if you're wondering why I had a few questions about the pricing of specific cars you randomly selected, that would be why I guess. I don't blindly hand over money ( that you obviously don't think I have) without knowing exactly what I'm buying. Or perhaps it's because I'm a woman who walked in nonchalantly, that maybe didn't look like a potential Jaguar customer? Either way I'm happy I did not spend my money at Jaguar Freeport. I couldn't be more pleased with a car dealer than Heritage Jaguar. My salesman, Daren, was fantastic. I live in Northern New Jersey so most of our business was by phone. Daren was almost always available when I called, and if not, he got back to me almost immediately. He was a joy to work with. I met him for the first time when I picked up the car. He was so warm and welcoming and a real pleasure, in fact everyone in the showroom was lovely. Took my Fpace in because the start up app wasn't working neither was the gps, i was told over the phone about gps and that was fixed..took the car in and was also told the vehicle has several updates and things to be fixed and they gave me a loaner, very polite staff, attentive and accomodating.
