I came here with a coworker for after work drinks. It wasn't too packed. There were not seats at the bar left but plenty of standing room. We managed to snag a table. We had not one but 3 different wait staff check in on us throughout our time. I was impressed by the very attentive staff even when all the tables were full. Specifically, Marie, took care of us the best. She seemed to pop up whenever we finished our drinks. We only ordered apps, oysters and pretzel bites. The oysters were okay, decent for the price but I would probably skip on my next visit (this is probably my only con). The pretzel bites and sauces were tasty. Drinks were not weak but still tasty. There was very cute fall decore, treat for the eyes and your social media posts. Marie happily provided me with event info bc I could see this as a good venue for work/corporate events. OMG...where to start. This is a place i waned to like so much yet it failed. Service was abysmal. Food ok. Drinks ehh. I went there with my sister on a friday around 3:30pm. We were immediately greeted and asked if we were eating or drinking as tables are only for those eating. We knew we were eating although at the time not sure what. We were seated in the most awkward corner and our drinks and appetizers ordered and brought to our table. We waited and eventually asked if we wanted another round which we did. After an hour or after our 2nd drink we were told our 90 minutes are up and we can move to a high table. We were not happy but obliged. We ordered another round and more appetizers. Again waited forever for a re-up. We asked for the check and lightning fast it was presented to us on the spot, we paid. Bangin'! Sitting on the couch, looking for a late brunch and stumbled across a Pulsd coupon for bottomless brunch. It was late (2p), but we called and were told they would serve til 3, so it was rally time. 30 minutes later we walked through the door of an extraordinarily empty restaurant. A couple of folks at the bar, but no one seated in the dining room. I know that we were coming in at a weird time, but was concerned that this changeover time might result in poor service or bad food. I could not have been more wrong! Our waitress, a lovely young lady from Ireland (and also the artist who made plenty of great bloody marys) was very nice and attentive. And the food came out of the kitchen fast and fabulous. My wife had the steak and eggs, with the steak cooked and seasoned perfectly. Even better, though, was my Irish breakfast. The sausage and pudding was fantastic - everything was cooking to perfection, and it was way too much food. So great pub, great service, great food. I can't recommend brunch here more. Wandering around NYC we passed this gem off the main drag. Wifey, like a dog burying a bone, made note of it. We circled back yesterday, and are headed there again today. $1 oysters. Yes, I said that, and it's fact. We gulped down two dozen in a blink. Sosososo good! Eastern oysters are just better than ours at home (California might know how to party, but I've gotta give bivalve respect where it is due :-) The chef's take on mignonette is remarkable. I'd drink shots of it with a tequila chaser, except I don't drink tequila. Service is great, super friendly. Happy hour drinks were amazingly priced and the well is good. Happy hour rose was very drinkable. We had bangers and mash, which was delicious, though presented in a surprise form. Chef Omar is sly smart. Def check this place out! It's more pub-ish than wine bar IMHO, and a great find in an often overpriced area. We had a great meal here. The sister pub I believe to the John Doe restaurant. Great service. The bar area can get a bit noisy but there's a back area to eat in. We had a Pulsd Coupon which we had no problem using. And it came with a bottle of wine! Great deal to go with a great place. I had a wonderful burger and my wife had salmon both perfectly prepared. A nice place to stop in if you're near Grand Central. We were greeted immediately when we entered which is always a good sign. My friends and I came to Jane Doe for dinner after finding a deal on pulsd! We had a great experience here. We had the steak frites, black linguine, pan seared salmon, and linguine carbonara. The linguine carbonara was the star of the show. I would definitely come back and order it again. It was so flavorful! Our waitress was exceptional and helped us decide what to order and checked in on us periodically. As an FYI, this place is also a bar but there's a division to separate the bar and the restaurant so my friends and I were able to enjoy our food without people traffic. They had a little section roped off at the front window that was reserved. There was not much room to stand anywhere other than by the roped off area and lord help you if your foot crosses that roped area (even though it was completely empty at the time!) The bartender barked at us for standing just slightly into the area, loudly enough that everyone turned to see who she was yelling at. Absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. When the party did show up, there were four guests that had lots of elbow room in their little "special place" despite the fact that the rest of the patrons were packed elbow to elbow. Very pretentious and unwelcoming little place, don't waste your time or money there. There are far too many other options with better service! read more

The bartender however named Ashley was absolutely amazing and the staff was very polite very courteous and very accommodating, but there is nothing about this place that has Irish bar written on it. do not ever go there if you're expecting an Irish bar. It had none of the atmosphere or ambience of an Irish bar and it was definitely more of a New York City yuppie themed bar, sadly, the staff was absolutely amazing. We would not recommend this place. If you're looking for an authentic Irish bar we were extremely disappointed by them, labeling themselves as an Irish bar. First of all, the staff was very very kind to me. However, I came expecting an Irish pub and this was far from it. The bar is very bright, plays modern pop music, the colors are off. I had lunch yesterday - excellent cod wrap with fries. Laura was an excellent bartender. All of the prices were very reasonable. This is a somewhat small but very nice restaurant/pub. There is a side entrance from the hotel next door but the main entrance is on 44th, up a few steps from the street. AVOID THIS SHADY ESTABLISHMENT!!! I purchased a Puls'd dinner for 2. When I went to order the short ribs, I was told that steak is not part of the Puls'd. I said there is nothing in the deal fine print about that and they insisted that the steak was out (see my pic). When I said I wanted the short ribs, the waitress' first suggestion was that I could have the short rib sliders... after I said that was not ok she brought over a "manager" who told me the there would be an up charge of $8.50 for the short ribs. I said that the deal is for entree's up to $29 and then you pay the difference ($4 to = $33 entree price). The response was that short ribs are expensive and didn't care about the deal they sold me. When the waitress brought the bill, she said they added a mandatory 20% tip. You can clearly see this was very different than their suggestion to tip on the amount of the This is clearly not the first time they have heard these complaint... they are a sneaky business that is trying to get people to show up and rip them off. read more
