I would have loved to give Cece (and the salon) 4.5- 5 stars, but I was left hanging to hear back about a follow up appointment to brighten the color around my face. Cece did a really good job with my weave, but her follow up skills need significant improvement....which is the reason for the lower stars and ultimately the reason why I will continue in my search for a new beautician/salon. After sending her 3 texts (only the first one she responded to) in a week's time, I am left frustrated whether she was ever going to get back to me before it was time me to come in 3-4 months for my partial weave. I gave her 2-3 days after each text to get back to me (I get it, she has other customers, but figured she get back to me within the next 24 hours....to me this is the basics of good customer service). If she was unable to get back to me about an appt, a simple reply about getting back to me soon, would have left me feeling that she valued me as a new and future returning customer. No customer should be left wondering....it's just bad practice and ultimately bad business. There's a really great saying about great customer service , "for every great overall customer experience, a customer will tell 3 people, but for every bad customer experience, they will tell 10 people." There are ALOT of great salons out there and I don't mind traveling, if that's what I have to do. Once I find a great beautician, I stick with them. I always read reviews and in today's hard economic times, if I'm going to spend $300-$400 to get my hair highlighted and cut, reviews matter. Customer service is very important, so I will continue in my search for a new salon/beautician. read more

I went in with yellow, orange and all sorts of weird colors after trying to lighten my hair color myself! He came recommended by a friend of mine Julie. Hair saver is the perfect word. The customer service and cleanliness are unparalleled. They now offer nail and aesthetician services, too. There are literally dozens of hair salons in the South Bay but Jason Patrick Salon is the real deal! I can't say enough good things about Said, the owner of Jason Patrick Salon. I moved to Redondo Beach 3 years ago and have had a hard time finding a hair stylist who could cut my very long, very thick hair as I wanted. I take a very natural approach to beauty, including my hair (minimal products, no dying, straightening, etc.) and wanted someone who understood that but had the experience to give me a great cut. Said listened to what I wanted, asked questions, added his own expertise and voila! I have the best haircut I've ever had!! I was tempted by a 50% in weekly booklet that comes to our home and the "environmental" friendly advertising. Advertising it is because it is used to bring in clients. The first time i visited i was quoted an amount and when i arrived it was a different price, but i thought what the heck i am saving myself from harmful chemicals and the environment pollution. The second time, i visited i was not greeted as the first time. Also, the price fluctuated again. To me that is it. It shows no integrity and honesty. Lindsey also gives a great hair cut..very precise!. He will style it how ever you want. Sometimes he tries to get me to go out of my comfort zone with a different style, but if I'm not feeling it, he doesn't push it. He gives me what ever I want. If you care about the environment and the chemicals you put in your body, this place is for you. The owner, Said, completely accommodated me. He went over, in detail, the facts about the brazilian blowout over the phone prior to our appointment. He started at 7 PM and stayed late to finish, never once rushing or complaining. This place is Immaculate, chill, and not at all pretentious. About a week ago,Said gave me an perfect hair cut (and I'm very picky) even offering to cut a bit more after the blowout. I had a brazilian blowout (formaldahyde free) and I'm thrilled with the results. I can actually air dry my hair and it looks amazing--shiny and healthy. I had a coupon for 50% which certainly helped, but I would go back regardless. Can't believe I found my new hair salon after living here only three weeks. Score! read more

Where do I start, This is my first review on Yelp and I signed up Especially to write a review for Jason Patrick Salon and it's amazing staff, Saed (I think the owner), CeCe and Rita. Two years ago, by coincident. Two friends from the east cost where flying in for a wedding,and we had everything planned, but their flight was delayed and delayed again and they got here six hours before the weeding looking like a mess they had slept in the airport to be first in line for cancellations. I dropped them off at the Crowne Plaza and on a Saturday morning started calling hair salons in Redondo by ratings on yelp, ever place I called, I called said they could not accommodate this last minute call, It is now 11:30am, the wedding starts at 3:00pm, just when I was going to give up , I called Jason Patrick Salon and CeCe answered the phone, I explained to her the situation and asked for help, she said they were just about to clean up and head out for lunch and put me on a brief hold and said they will stay and if we could get there by noon they will help to get my friends hairs done by 1:30p, we had to go back to the hotel for the limo to pick us up by 2:00. We all got our hair done, and we all looked amazing, they saved the day, the wedding and I became a regular there with CeCe. I have refereed dozens of friends to CeCe, she is an Amazing hair dresser and color Expert, she can match any hair color, she is a color mixologist for hair. She is super sweet and takes her time to do it perfect, she even sends a text the next day to see how my hair and hair color came out and if I was happy. Who does that these days?
