It's been quite a while since I've stopped into Jason's, but I wanted to go back when I saw a particular vegetarian sandwich on their menu called the Zucchini Grillini. It's got, of course, zucchini, "Muenster, organic spinach, red onions, roma tomatoes, kalamata olives, roasted red pepper hummus, toasted on multigrain wheat bread." I decided to make it vegan and forego the muenster cheese. I loved this sandwich! It was toasted and warm. The flavors melded together wonderfully, and it was satisfying. I'm from Houston Texas. And there's literally a Jason's deli on every corner. And no matter how you order your food if you order fruit you get a fruit dip. At this place they never ever get your order right and always conveniently forget the fruit dip. And god have mercy should you complain. I have been here three times. Today my wife and son's family went for lunch. Son bought me home a Ruben sandwich and from the first bite I knew it was it. It was loaded with almost two inches of meat, dressing and sourkout, etc on fresh marble rye bread. I wasn't really hungry I took the first after the bit I couldn't stop until I ate the whole thing. Everything was really, really good-- from one of my kiddo's very simple salami & cheese on white, to my----Corretto? Carmella? Something with a "c," full of salami and cheese and vinegary red pepper sauce....and the portions are not skimpy. The sandwiches don't look that big on the plate, but once you start eating they seem to grow. Good service at the register and quick service to the table. I think I got here right at the start of the family rush. It was loud and boisterous but tidy. The staff was doing a good job of maintaining the salad bar and bringing out food. Rather than wait in line, I went right to the kiosk and ordered the salad bar and a drink. This skipped a bunch of wait, plus I could start assembling my master piece. Lots of stuff on the salad bar that isn't just lettuce and lots of stuff on the salad bar that will add empty calories. I stuck with the good stuff and added a big scoop of their tasty hummus. I haven't been here in a while, but decided to come by when my family was in town. it has good seating and food that is appealing the most folks. Jason's Deli still has it. We were all happy with the food we ordered and it was delicious. Muffalleta focaccia thick and fresh, as was the bread for the deli club and corned beef sandwiches. I noticed one or two items in the salad bar has been updated since the last time I came here (a year or two ago) ... one of the added items i really enjoyed was the chicago style giardiniera. Second visit to this place. Sunday evening seems less crowded and quieter. The menu does seem massive so it helps to look at it before you come out. I did the sandwich & 1 trip to the salad bar which hit the spot. (It's a bit like the Panera's Pick 2 deal) Rest of group got a sandwich and pasta dishes. Our store in Sarasota, FL closed down after Covid. We came here for LAX tourney and had to hit Jason's. Place was clean, and food was good, but have to give a huge shout out to our cashier John (JT). He greeted us when we walked in the door, was friendly, patient, and answered questions. I order the salad bar for $8 at their new kiosks--it's quick and gets you through quickly. The quality and breath of the salad bar is the best thing about Jason's Deli. You get mixed greens, spinach, or romaine lettuce. There's also red beets, several pasta/tuna/couscous varieties, and even croutons, trail mix, and two types of pudding. Free soft serve, is the next best thing! I would skip the soups. Sure, they have variety--but I've seen it sit there in the open in plastic and that's...kind of bad. They even store it in plastic bags and heat it up. Meh. The other complaint I have is--they need to upgrade their plates. Every single time I get the salad bar, I have to go through 3-4 plates before I find one acceptably clean. They either have a food bit on it (fresh or dried, I've seen both) or it looks SO old and scratched up that it's gross. I'm surprised no one else has noted this yet in reviews. I have not dined in this location but I have had their catering and carry out items a number of times. I think for a local option that delivers they are good quality. I also think the menu has a variety of options, salads/soups/pastas/baked potatoes/etc. I have ordered the seafood gumbo a number of times and though the shrimp are small, the shrimp are fresh and I think the flavor is really great.. a bit of kick. I ordered the chicken club salad and I thought the homemade ranch was a 5... I love ranch ! The chicken was cooked well and was fresh, I preferred this chicken to some other carry out options. This location of Jason's Deli just opened earlier this week, so there's still a few grand opening kinks in service/training in progress that they are still working out. It's located in the plaza that is across from the would-be Wegman's site, next to Royal Taj. Sx and I have never been to one before, but the set-up is similar to Madeline's or Pei Wei's. You take a menu to browse and order at the counter. You receive a number card to put on a holder at a table of your choice (self seating). Get your own fountain drinks and free soft serve ice cream. There's table service in terms of delivering your ordered food (except for the salad bar, which looks pretty decent) and cleaning up the table. We tried the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich, Savvy Chicken Salad Wrap, Seafood Gumbo, and a Plain Jane baked potato. The gumbo had a good amount of shrimp, chunks of meat and rice, however just a bit too salty for me. The chicken salad was good, just my wrap looked really, really flat and sad compared to the other items ordered. I ordered fruit with my sandwich which was nice. But really, Jason's Deli really ought to be called Jason's Deli- Home of the Monster Baked Potatoes. That spud was humongous!!!! It was 1 large spud plus a half of one... SX couldn't stop talking about how abnormally large the potato was. The free soft serve is your standard DIY soft serve, vanilla, chocolate, or swirl flavors, either in a cone or cup. I love Jason's Deli. I always order the make your own sandwich: turkey, Swiss, lettuce, onions, and ranch on focaccia bread. Sandwiches come with regular or baked chips and a pickle, I add a side salad. Their salad bar is awesome and everything is good from the dressings to the muffins to the pumpkin seed crackers. Also they offer free soft serve ice cream in a cone or cup with dine in! Staff has always been helpful and friendly. They also cater for my office regularly and do a great job. One downside is their tomato soup is not particularly creamy, nothing like Panera's. Chicken noodle is good though! read more

Jason Deli has cool little program that includes a passport card that they load money on once you have tried and completed the survey on the dish. I love going here trying the new combinations that they put together using fresh ingredients. The have salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and pasta! I came to this location twice; the second of which was more interesting. The first was on Friday, February 21, 2014. I had a $5 off birthday sandwich. I was working at my company, where I traveled for work and was coming back this way from Baltimore City. Baltimore City took longer than expected, I had a couple of more tasks ahead including one less than a mile away, and it was 3 in the afternoon. Suffice it to say, I scarfed the sandwich quick because I was in a rush. The service was good and so was the sandwich. The second time was also on a Friday by coincidence on September 5. Unfortunately, that job ended in July, but shortly after, I started doing Uber. I had someone going from DC to BWI Airport. It was lunchtime and decided to go back to this Jason's Deli on the way back. I was amazed when the cashier told me that you are getting the California Club, and I said, 'Yes, how did you know?!'. Having first discovered this chain in Ridgeland, MS, finding one in MD was like a taste of home. Jason's isn't just a deli. While they have an amazing selection of sammiches, they also have several wonderful soups, a huge salad bar, and do wonders with spuds. My favs are the turkey muffuletta and the ruben. Do it as a a manager special and you get half a sammich (quarter of muffuletta) and a cup of soup. Go for the spicy seafood gumbo. Served with rice atop, it's a rather tasty gumbo with shrimp and a heat that won't scare you away. Get some perfect sweet tea and hit the salad bar for some garlic bread, corn or ginger bread muffins, or some spicy mixed nuts. These are great to nibble on while you wait for your food which won't be long. After your meal, they have free soft-serve ice cream by the cone or cup. Top with chocolate sauce and you're good to go.
