I love Jason's Deli. Everything is top-notch....except for the vanilla ice cream. It used to be white, creamy and delicious and now is grainy and a pale yellow, see through color. Please make sure all Jason's Deli's serve the good kind of ice cream. It is a lovely bonus to finish a great food. The bad vanilla was in Tyler, Texas. More than once! Pretty disappointed with their curbside service lately. Ordered ahead, arrived, checked in, and after almost 15 minutes of waiting I had to call and ask about my order. It had been sitting there a while. The ice in my iced tea was totally melted and my sandwich was stone cold. You can do better, Jason's. Apparently, management couldn't care less. read more

This is the second time that I have tried to give them a shot but unfortunately they failed again. I asked for the chicken chili and apparently you no longer have it. I then asked for the Managers Special. Pastrami sandwich and cheese and broccoli soup. Well first off lets start with the sandwich, the bread was a marble and I asked for rye, it was cold not even heated and it tasted old. The pastrami was like it was just thrown in the bread, one half of the sandwich was some meat and the other less meat. The sauerkraut was not evenly put on, one side was more then the other. I called in this order but when I went in to get it the cashier was on the phone while I was just standing there to get my order. Someone should be covering the phone orders , not the cashier. Pretty much had Jason's Deli every night for a week because it was close to the motel we were staying at. We were here for work, not vacation so sticking to a budget was important. Some of the staff only spoke Spanish so it did make communication a bit hard, but everyone was still very friendly and did the best they could. Pretty sure I just ordered a potato most nights and the alfredo one night. We have Jason's Deli at home and it's honestly just a great place to go when you need something quick to eat. We like Jason's Deli in that you can get fairly healthy food at reasonable prices. We usually get the managers special which is sandwich with chips and soup or salad. The serving sizes are big enough that I usually eat the sandwich and chips and get the salad in a to-go box for another meal. My son likes the El Pollo potato. There are little muffins or self serve ice cream cone for dessert. The parking lot is oddly shaped and you have to follow a short maze to get in, but worth it. read more

Food is good when the orders are made correctly. Don't count on online orders to be efficient or correct. I had to wait at least 30 mins for an online order the last time and flat out told them to cancel my order yesterday when it wasn't ready 20 mins after I put in the order. Zero customer service or damage control by management with that too. I only order food like this when I'm working so convenience and efficiency is a priority since I only have so much time for lunch. I had a miss communication with the young lady in the front register but as soon as I express my concern regarding my order that wasn't place correctly immediately the manager Jake at Jason Deli took over apologize and made sure my meal was done less than 5mts which it less time then he normally told me which made me super happy because we haven't had lunch and our dinner was our lunch/dinner. To top all the came to our table to apologized for the misunderstanding and gave my family a gift card as promise. Thank u Jake for an amazing customer service experience especially after not been here since the COVID-19 crisis. Super happy we need more managers like Jake in the food industries.. Came to this location even though I usually go to the one on highway 6 and I was so upset:(( I usually get super full eating here but when I went the portion I got was super little and I left still hungry. I have gone to this location a couple of times for takeout. The service has been very good and fast. 290 construction could make getting to Jason's an issue. Also, parking spaces are at a premium, and the parking lot layout being a bit weird could be an issue. Horrible!!!! This location made me super late to my job!!!!!!!! To START... I began waiting for almost 10 minutes at the drive thru. The guy told me to hold so I waited but that was WAY too long. I eventually drove to the front after yelling "hello!?" In the speaker a few times.... someone could've said SOMETHING...maybe "just a few more minutes sir".... but NO. I drove to the front and honked at the window. It was no one at the front but when someone came he continued to take the order for the lady behind me who decided to wait. I honked again...he gave me the "wait" finger..to signal to me to hold on. I waited almost 15 minutes without even giving my order... a complete waste of time I'm never going to this location again. I like their half sandwich and cup of soup deal. The fresh fruit with sweet cream or steamed veggies is a nice substitute on regular or baked chips. Every Time our office orders from them, they always deliver promptly and are so friendly!! Food is always good too! I've gotten their number 11 on wheat with tomato basil soup! Just left from this location.. according to there profile on Yelp. They do not close until 10 pm. I go through drive thru and I'm like "hello"... no response. Drive to the window and nobody is there. Finally a black lady.. probably late 20's with dark brown and hair and blond highlights in the front sees me waiting and proceeds to mean mug and walks away. How hard is it to say that you're closed. I understand you've worked a full damn day and you're exhausted but hell if you truly hate your job. Get the hell out of any customer service job. Like seriously! So annoying. I heart Jason's Deli with every fiber of my being! I used to frequent Jason's when I lived in FLA. On my last trip to Houston, I decided to renew our relationship. Oh boy... it was everything that I had remembered! I think I've only ordered a sandwich once or twice in the many times I have eaten at Jason's. I heart the salad bar. It's a huge salad bar, with most everything you can think of to put on a salad - they even have other salads prepared (cole slaw, potato salad, cottage cheese, etc.). They have super yummy items to top off the salad too. Creamy dressing, low fat varieties, sunflower seeds, chow mein noodles... yum. And if you're still hungry they've got dessert items on the bar and soft serve ice cream to fill you up. Every week, my office picks up Jason's Deli and it NEVER gets old. My favorite is the California Club with Fresh Fruit on the side. It is a croissant with turkey, avo, mayo, bacon, and sprouts and really is the perfect blend. Their fresh fruit comes with their famous dipping sauce which is absolutely delish and the perfect compliment to the fresh berries and melon that come with it. They have so much to choose from, and for the most part it is pretty healthy! I have also had their Salad Bar and Ranchero Wrap...both great alternative options! Its very reasonable and fast. Plus, you get a free ice cream cone at the end...what could be better:) read more

My company and I always order from here to get it delivered. Some days they are fast and some days they don't get to my office until after a 2 hour wait. Other than that, I sometimes just go here for lunch. They always fully stock the salad bar and it's clean. If you do decide to come during lunch time, you have to come early. If you come at noon, it's always a wait out the door to get in plus the limited amount of parking space there as well. read more

I don't write reviews often however after today's experience I must share. I like to place to go orders online and swing by to pick them up during the weekdays as they are always pretty fast and very fresh, however the last TWO times I have visited my order has been incorrect. I always order a salad AND add a bowl of soup but the last two times upon getting back home, my soup is no where to be found. It is just the add on and I realize that but honestly that is my favorite part. It is clearly displayed on the receipt that I was charged for the extra soup but upon investigation, no soup. Normally I would check my bag prior to driving off but there is always a line at lunch so in an effort to get out of the way of others, I just drive off. Were this just the once, I would have let it slide but its beginning to become more of the norm. Very very frustrating. Recommendation... check your to go order before driving off!! read more

Got to check this place out on my mom's tab not that long ago. I had been to other Jason's Deli locations, but not this one, and even for those it had been a while (way before I had a Yelp account). I'm rather impressed. I had the Deli Cowboy sandwich, as it was about the only thing I saw on the menu that I was even remotely in the mood for (I think I was more in the mood for Mexican or Italian that night). The prices won't bust the budget either. I'm definitely coming back, if not to this location, to one of the others. read more

I am a Jason's Deli fan all the way, and this location is no exception. Their food is always on point, fresh and delicious. The staff is attentive and service is quick. I frequently do to-go orders here for lunch or when I don't feel like cooking, and I love the fact that they have your previous order down. If you are a creature of habit, all you have to do is order the usual. The staff here is always friendly, making sure to offer you a drink if your wait time is a bit longer than expected. And the salad bar is so good! I love the fact that they have wraps that are both delicious and under 400 calories. I don't think I have ever been disappointed in going to a Jason's Deli, and this location is no exception. Having my order taken was fast and accurate. Food always comes out hot and delicious. I love that Jason's has so many fresh, healthy options. It's not quite fast food, but the speed of service is on par with being one and the quality is much better. I usually eat the free ice cream before my meal while I wait :-) and it's not unknown for me to get one before I leave as well :-D The only reason for a star deduction is that there are off days when I see tables that don't get cleared for a while. read more

Love the new location, love the salad bar, love the sweet employees...I hadn't been to Jason's Deli in a while (mostly because they close a little too early for me by the time I get back to my neighborhood), and since I finally came back I have been back several times within just a couple weeks. I wish they were open a little later in the evening (I can make it before they close, but I hate being that last person, and we are usually running later, so I tend to avoid), and that they were open on Sunday. I'm often looking for easy family-friendly, quick and healthy meals on Sunday afternoon/evening. Also, and this is not necessarily the fault of this location, but - getting soup and salad bar is pricey. I'm sure they've done tons of analysis about what it takes to keep a salad bar profitable, but it just costs too much to get a bowl of (yummm Fire-Roasted Tortilla) soup and a salad. But again: delicious food, super-friendly employees - worth coming out to the lovely new location (in the same parking lot as the old location, but in a nice new building, complete with a drive-thru!). read more

I have eaten at Jason's a lot, mostly in Alabama. I'm usually pretty pleased with food and service. But this store doesn't live up to the quality of the chain. I ordered the exact same thing I've ordered for 15 years, and after several minutes of the cashier searching for it on the register, then asking a manager for help, I was told there would be a substantial up charge. How is it that, I have never been here and I've worked near this place for the past three years!?! So since it's finals week, the students are dismissed early and we get to enjoy our lunch rather than trying to shove it down our throats in 30 minutes or less. So one of my coworkers suggested Jason's Deli. I said sure since I've never been there, but drive by it everyday on my way to work. We get to the place and I'll admit I was a bit confused with their entry way. It seemed for a minute that you would be seated because you see menus, a closed off area and what not, but I look to my right and see the registers, so I figured order at the register and go from there. One of my coworkers has a gluten free diet so she was going to simply get the salad bar, but I spotted a sign and it said "Gluten Free Bread." She was so excited that she could actually order a sandwich! I look through the menu and decide on a Taco Salad, a cup of chili and an iced tea. Although I had to wait awhile in line, because someone at the register didn't know what she wanted and kept changing her mind. Seriously if you don't know what you want, please step aside and let people who do know what they want place their orders. It took the lady about 10 minutes to finally decide and the whole time she stood in front of the register...common courtesy people...sheesh! So I finally get to the register and I'm thinking that the cashier is new because she keeps asking the other worker questions. I tell her my order, but she keeps forgetting my cup of chili. I know that the salad has chili on it, but I would like a cup to eat as well. After a couple of minutes of explaining that I wanted an additional cup of chili plus the one that goes on top of the salad, still didn't register. So I just finished the order, but not to my liking. My other coworker got a little adventurous and ordered a whole ham/salami mufaletta and french onion soup. I warned him that mufalettas are usually pretty big...but maybe he wanted to play "Man vs. Food" today, who knows. Our orders came out and my coworkers gluten free sandwich looked amazing. They piled on the meat! My salad came out next and it was definitely a huge serving. My other coworkers sandwich came out and it took two plates to serve it! We all started eating and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I can only speak for my salad. It was tasty. I liked the chili and the combination of flavors. The only drawback that I saw was that there was not enough lettuce. You call it a salad, but really it felt like I was eating something more along the lines of nachos. I still really liked the crunchiness of the chips and the chili and all of that...just give me more veggie substance please! The culture and service at Jason's Deli restaurants always impresses me. I particularly like this location on West 34th Street. The managers there are always engaged and helping their staff, and speak to every patron. Additionally, the staff is always friendly and helpful and presentable -- which, let's face it, isn't always "the norm" today. But while I'm partial and a regular at the Heights Oak Forest location, I have never been to a Jason's Deli location that wasn't the same level of service as this one. One example that demonstrates Jason's Deli culture of satisfaction is an experience I had last fall, when I was on a special diet for a few months. I went to lunch one Saturday at Jason's Deli, because I know they never give me "grief" about adding or substituting items. I asked the manager if they add sugar to their salsa. He said, "Hmm, I don't know. Can you hang on and I'll call our corporate office and ask?" Of course I was genuinely surprised because: 1) he had a "live" resource to ask and 2) the "live" resource was available on a Saturday. He came back and explained that "yes, they do add a small amount of sugar -- about 2 tablespoons for every gallon of homemade salsa." He noticed that I was awestruck and explained that Jason's Deli doesn't contract to companies like Ben E. Keith. They contract with local farmers to grow produce and raise meat exclusively for them and then they have their own division that makes everything exclusively themselves. Wow--this explains the excellent consistency in their food flavor! My favorite Jason's Deli dishes include: the veggie spinach wrap with chicken with a side of their amazingly fresh salsa; the salad bar that has so many choices (YUM!), and the Santa Fe chicken sandwich on toasted wheat bread. And regardless of the time of the year, the fruit is always beautiful and fresh! Plus the free ice cream for dine-in patrons is always a great treat! Finally, when I host a meeting that requires catering, I always ask my department admin to order from Jason's Deli. It allows each participant to customize their order as they want--which, considering I am as bad as "Meg Ryan's character Sally Albright in 'When Harry Met Sally" is important to me. Plus, they always deliver our food on time and even help get everything set-up for our meeting. Bottom line, I am a Jason's Deli customer for life! read more

This is another spot my boss and I go for lunch. He is a veggie junkie. Probably the best stuff to be addicted to. I love that they have an endless salad bar during lunch. All the greens you can eat. You definitely need to get there before rush if you are buying a plate. It fills up kinda quick. The best thing about the salad bar is that you don't have to wait in line!
