Came by to use the gift card a friend gave me for this place awhile ago. Cute local coffee shop. Owners were warm and welcoming. The coffee choices were plentiful, the burrito decently tasting/priced and both pastry items were delicious! Would definitely come back

Ordered a cold white chocolate oat milk double shot latte. It's okay. I don't have much to say about it, as it was very typical. Only pleasant thing was that it wasn't watery or too milky. It came out to about $9 a coffee which is pretty high in my opinion, given the presentation and taste. I was debating on getting a breakfast burrito as it said it was $6 (crazy how a burrito is cheaper than a latte nowadays..), but now that I've read the reviews for the burrito, I'm not sure I'll bother.

This is based solely on the breakfast burrito ($5). It was primarily egg and tasted like a frozen burrito they put in the microwave. This makes sense since it took 3 mins between order being placed and getting the burrito. Recommend getting a pastry instead but if you're craving a burrito, this will be a let down.

Fun, cozy, great service, delicious flavor of the day coffee! Went twice on my trip, highly recommend

Busy coffee shop, yet there were plenty of seats inside & outside to relax & enjoy a good cup of drip coffee, a delicious latte or a very tasty lemon bar. Service was friendly & quick. Sorry, phone died before I got a pic of the delicious lemon bar & the smooth tasting coffee. I will be going back

This is a perfect coffee shop if you want to sit, relax or do some work! Nested only a few blocks away from the beach but in a relatively quieter area, the location is a perfect combo of convenience and peace. I came on a Sunday late morning, ordered a whole wheat bagel served with cream cheese with an iced coffee and sat down doing some work for a good 1.5 hours. Half of the seats were empty with the majority of customers lining up for to go orders. The food and drink were delicious, and the whole atmosphere was a perfect substitute for Starbucks across PCH. They also offer FREE WiFi which is a must for any remote work.

I got the Earl Grey matcha latte, and my husband went with the banana cream matcha latte. Both drinks came out pretty quickly! And they were SO good. I love Earl Grey in my matcha, and Otto Tea Shoppe nailed the flavor. The matcha was earthy and a great green color. My husband really enjoyed his banana matcha (and so did I... wife tax hehe). The banana flavor was super enjoyable and clearly not artificial. I'll definitely be back to try more of their drinks!

It was not whisked properly, the texture was off and the flavor was flat in that unmistakable way bad matcha announces itself immediately. Matcha is simple, but it is not casual. When it's done well, you can taste the attention. When it's done poorly, there's nowhere to hide. This tasted rushed, underworked and overpriced. Service didn't help. The whole experience felt indifferent. There are too many places taking matcha seriously now to settle for a cup that feels like someone bought the right language but skipped the discipline.

I had a coffee, which was good and hit the spot, and my friend ordered the grilled cheese with a fruit plate - simple, comforting, and nicely done. Service was good and staff friendly. One cool detail out front is a small wishing tree where you can hang tags, which adds a fun, thoughtful touch to the place. The gift shop next door was bright and festive, perfect for the holidays, and a great spot to pick up some last-minute, unique gifts you don't see everywhere. Overall, a really pleasant café and shop combo that's worth checking out.

I'm an adult woman, almost 48, and I don't appreciate being told how I should behave in a disrespectful way. At one point, an employee even told me not to talk to other customers--even when they were the ones starting conversations with me. That felt like bullying. Thankfully, that employee is no longer there, but the overall attitude still hasn't fully improved. I've been bringing my two dogs with me for a long time without any issues. Recently, I was told I can't use the bathroom anymore--even just to quickly wash my hands before eating. I understand rules about dogs not being allowed in certain areas, and that was explained properly, but the way everything was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Because of this shift in attitude, I've noticed other customers have stopped coming as well, like Alex and Trisha. Some people have even mentioned that the overall environment and customer treatment aren't as good as they used to be. It's disappointing, because this used to be a place I really liked. Now it feels like the attitude has changed, and not in a good way.
