Scored garlic bagel with lite cream cheese
    Lang B.

Was in same plaza for coffee and decided to give this place a try. Was easy to find parking near the front. Inside was spacious and had several seats. Although they were busy, being it was a Sunday in mid morning, the staff was very friendly and my wait to order was not long at all. I ordered the scored garlic begal toasted with lite cream cheese. The only thing that was slightly awkward standing inside to wait on your order, if you don't find a seat to inside. I felt like there was no where to stand without getting in someone's way, and I wouldn't hear my name called if I wait inside. Loved the begal i choose, I love garlic and it had the perfect amount. It was toasted perfectly, so delicious.

Still same old good foods, good folks, and good vibe. I have not been back here for awhile but stoped by since I was next door. Seeing the same folks (I think family runs now) both at register and making the foods. Good old smell of bake goods & coffees and that good vibe every time I go where. The foods are still the same, both taste and the favor. Just the cost went up of course. Glad I stoped by to get my usual thing here.

So friendly, best bagels in town. Plus, great prices and menu options! I loved the East Coast Bagel (egg and cheese) on a salt bagel or scored garlic bagel. Chocolate chip and Cinnamon Sugar bagels are also phenomenal!!!! Bathroom nearby at Target. There is always parking, but you might have to park in the bigger part of the lot instead of the immediate spots in front.

Great service and a welcoming atmosphere. It's quick service and first come, first serve for tables, so you might not get the exact spot you want -- but everything else was excellent. The food was fresh, and my bacon, egg, and cheese on a cheesy jalapeño bagel with cream cheese hit the spot.

I really wanted to like this place, but the prices and quality don't match at all. I spent $22.65 for a simple avocado bagel, and what I received didn't justify the cost in any way. Here's the breakdown for just one bagel: * Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese -- $2.20 * Tomato -- $0.99 * Avocado -- $1.99 * Lemon Pepper -- $0.59 * "Open Face" -- $0.99 (which they said means you get more toppings, but in reality it just came split in half with the same small amount) * Extra Cream Cheese -- $0.99 Subtotal: $7.75 before tax -- yet this small, plain-looking bagel ended up part of a $22.65 total. For that price, I expected something full, fresh, and worth the add-ons -- not two thin halves with a few slices of avocado and tomato. The "open face" upcharge especially felt like a stretch, since the portions didn't reflect what was promised. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately the product didn't match the price. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend checking out another local bagel spot in Long Beach where you actually get what you pay for.

i am a frequent enjoyer of east coast bagel! its my go to treat to reward myself for going to all my classes. unfortunately it has been lacking a little lately in the spread quantity aspect. my go to's are jalapeno or lox spread and with the past few visits i've gotten about 30ish% less spread than i have in the past. i'll try ordering with extra spread next time tho to see if it makes a difference. service is always good even when they're in the middle of the rush, they always offer a good morning and are polite when ringing your order up! my reccs are: onion/plain/egg bagels toasted! also the jalapeno cream cheese has a nice heat to it

February 2025 I've been coming to this bagel shop for over 10 years. It's very near & dear to my heart :) The bagels are always delicious. My current favorite is the Bacon Avocado Xtreme Melt on an everything bagel. Sooo good! The service is always fast and friendly..

I've been coming to East Coast bagels for years and they're the best bagels anywhere. If I could give it more stars, I would. Cinnamon raisin, plain and whole wheat are my favorites, but they have many more. These are like a real bagel not like a hamburger bun that you'd find other places. Check them out. I can't imagine why anyone would give them anything other than five stars.

I stopped by a few days ago for a quick coffee. Although the coffee was just regular pre made stuff they did have several flavors available. The service during this super quick transaction was exceptional. I was in the neighborhood again so so I decided to stop by for a bagel this time. I was helped by a different person this time but the customer service was still great, fast and friendly. The scored garlic bagel was not an option I've seen at other bagel shops and it was delicious. Definitely stop here if you want breakfast and friendly service!

Native New Yorker here, and this place gets it right. Legit East Coast-style bagels and a proper bagel & lox with all the essentials--cream cheese, capers, red onion, the works. I've been here before and can't bring myself to order anything else. Classic old-school neighborhood vibe and super friendly staff. If you're serious about bagels, this is the spot.

I started coming here because it is walking distance from my school! I've only been a few times but the guy who works at the front is super friendly and nice, and was giving me some recommendations. I ended up getting the pizza bagel with ham and Swiss. The star of the show was definitely the sun dried tomato cream cheese . I love how filling it is as well.

we love this place! really friendly staff and high quality bagel sandwiches! clean space and easy parking. tons of drinks to choose from too. can't wait to try the psssionfruit smoothie next time, thank you!!!!!!!!

I love that they open extra early in the morning for people that needs to grab coffeee and breakfast on the way to work. I've tried a few of their bagel sandwiches and all of them is toasted, cheesy, and packed with meat and veggies. Photos doesn't do it justice. Love the ambiance. Parking isn't that much of an issue. Everyone always welcomes you and are always smiling. As busy as they are, their food always comes out in a timely manner. They have tons of options! They have a coffee station as well. Give Them a try! You won't regret it!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Ordered and it didn't take long at all to get it. Did they even add espresso? Who knows because the latte was weak. It barely had any hint of coffee. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.
