Seal Beach, CA Forgot to update my first coffee order here several months back. I ordered an iced Americano, it was watered down and not good, tossed it out when making my way onto the on pier. I was with a friend of mine yesterday and as we passed by the store both of us opted not to order again from this store because she had the same experience as well. I also purchased the Rosebud coffee beans, I'm pretty sure we paid somewhere between $16 to $18. We made a few shots of espresso and decided not to use it because it did not taste bold or flavorful, it sat in the cupboard until I threw away an almost full bag of coffee beans. I do not like to waste, but this coffee was not to my liking. This place was such a cute find! I was traveling out of the area and was waiting to have brunch with my friends when we decided to walk to the pier. We walked by and decided to go in and grab a coffee. It was around Halloween time when we went so they had a few seasonal drinks. They all were interesting mixes of flavors and were delicious! I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but it had spider in the name. I enjoyed my drink and the staff were quick to get my drink out. Love coming to Javatini's. They always have amazing seasonal drinks. The lattes here are top quality. I tried their seasonal peppermint matcha for the Christmas time and it was really good. Was strolling thru Seal Beach and decided to try this today. OMG they have graham cracker lattes!! This graham cracker freak has died and gone to graham heaven. Their pastries and sandwiches are pretty bomb as well. The ambience is really chill and laid back, they play everything from Oasis to The Beach Boys. You could wear your bikini to javatini. Cute little local coffee shop in Seal Beach! Came out here for work on a Thursday and needed a pick me up. I ordered an Iced Latte sweetened with agave and it was very nice. I appreciate that they have almost every kind of alternative dairy and sweetener to make your perfect cuppa Joe the way you want it. You can tell that the espresso beans that they use is very fresh. Great corner coffee shop. Drinks are great and ambiance you can tell locals enjoy this spot. My only critique concerns the breakfast sandwiches. If a customer orders a sandwich on an english muffin it's usually best to toast it. Or at least ask if they want it toasted. Most people surely like it that way. read more

Over the past few years, a friend and I have become once-a-weekly regulars at Javatinis. Their coffee is roasted on premises and is delicious. Their scrumptious pastries are from Homeboy Bakery, and they will warm them up for you. We love the friendly staff, and once we became regulars--even though it's only once a week--they know exactly what we order (we're creatures of habit, what can I say?). I've been there a few times solo or with my dog and enjoyed people watching on the corner of Main St. and Central Ave. My recommendation: Skip Starbucks and go to Javatinis. Nice little coffee shop in the middle of Main Street, Seal beach. I came in for a little pick me up to get my day started and ordered the cold brew. Left room for cream which can be found on the other side of the shop for you add to your drink. This spot, while small has a very coffee shop environment. Cool enough to hang out inside like any other coffee shop. There's plenty food items. My order came out quick and I was in and out in no time. Parking is right out front. Overall, great spot. Ambiance: Outside in the early morning there can be some semi-friendly, semi-crumudginly regulars who inspect all the crew heading in to get coffees. Not to worry though, pass right by them. They don't heckle or hurt you as you pass through their hard earned local status spots. Inside - I like their coffee bags on the ground and their cozy chairs etc. My suggestion is to come with a crew and sit inside on a weekday. Avoid the weekend rush.
