I've been to a Jc Burger a few years back and loved it so finally decided to try it again. I'm soooo disappointed! The burger came out first and I took a few bites waiting on the onion rings to come out. He apologized about the onion rings and asked about the burger and I told him it was salty. He told me it depends on the cook. I'm the kind of person who usually just say it's good and just eat it anyways, so you can see it was wayyy too salty for me. I never ever had to do this and felt bad for doing it but asked for a refund on my burger and he did and said sorry. I added a star because he gave me refund and apologized. read more

Went to JC's today (Allen, TX). Sat for 1/2 hour after ordering and no food. Went to the cashier to explain. He printed my ticket and said the food would be out. At this point needed it to be To Go! I was on my lunch break. Finally got my food 45 minutes after ordering with only an apology. No offer to comp my meal. The food is good but, the service was AWFUL! People that had ordered after me were served before me. There was no rhyme reason as to why my order and that of my co-worker were mishandled. Won't be back anytime soon, if ever. #SAD read more

However I say if you are going to take the toddzilla challenge confirm that they have the t shirts before ordering. $20 for this burger fries and drink is too much otherwise. JC's is no longer a favorite of ours upon finding out that the "meat" that they claim is ground daily is now 80/20. When I asked what in the world is in the burger patty now, it tasted like mush. they could only answer they don't know but that it is not all beef. It is 80 beef and 20 something else. To claim that their burgers are ground fresh daily from 100% beef is false claim - to add something and not "know what it is" is really bad, could cause food allergies if soy or who knows what. It was really bad. We would never go back now and I'll inform anyone who I happen to be talking to about "good food". read more

There are so many burger places to choose from in Allen one would think they would actually try a little harder. I ate there with my daughter and neither of us were very impressed. The burger was so dry I had to ask for extra mayo and I could only get 1/2 of it down. My daughter didn't even finish hers and she usually loves cheese burgers. As my tag line says, I am in search of the perfect burger. JC's in Allen comes pretty close. The lunch deal for a 1/3 lb burger, fries and drink comes in at under $6. However, I am hooked on upgrading to their fresh cut fries with sea salt. I thought their tots were the only way to go until I tried the fresh cut fries. Try them! You can also get sweet tater fries if you are not into spuds. The burger was a tad dry, which made me wonder if they use a low fat grade of ground meat. If so, then, it's a pretty good burger for low fat. The veggies are fresh and crisp and the service is extremely helpful and friendly. JC's started out as a family run business and has branched out into a local chain but they have managed to keep that friendly family feeling instilled in all their employees. Definitely a place I will keep returning to whenever I need to feed the "call of the burger" when it strikes. read more

The quality of their burgers are one notch above fast food, typical of what you might get from a greasy spoon down the corner. JC's throws down the gauntlet for any brave souls willing to try out their "Todd-Zilla" burger, a 1.5lb burger with triple cheese and triple patties...you get a spot of honor on their wall and a T-shirt if you manage to conquer this heart-attack inducing monster. This review is based on the food and service like always. But a few words about the other customers first. The line took forever because at least two families didn't have a clue what they and their many children wanted when they got to the counter. Don't wait until it's your turn to ask your four and five year olds what they want. The couple in front of me made out the whole wait then she went to get a table so he shouted across the room about every decision regarding their order. "Honey, do want pickles? Fries or onion rings?". Good Grief! So I placed my order and I had to sit really close to the coke dispenser because several tables were dirty and the rest were taken. People bumped my chair and my table constantly. I finally got my turkey burger and fries. Burger was very dry, one of the worst turkey burgers I have ever had.They have all the signs about their great quality everywhere. Why do they charge extra for fresh cut fries? They have standard and better fries? This is also easily one of the loudest places I have ever eaten. The cook banging his burger flippers doesn't help anything. CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! I'll take a burger, but hold the racism. Laura, the lady who took my order seemed to have an extremely pleasant report with the person in front of me. She also had a long, pleasant conversation with a person placing an order on the phone who called AFTER I got in line, but was still helped before me. I remained pleasant while she not only took the phone order, but had a nice little chit-chat with the person on the phone for an additional few minutes, as if I wasn't standing there waiting to order. But somehow when I pleasantly placed my order, her niceness took a back seat. All of the sudden her demeanor changed, replacing her smile with a look of agitation and disgust. Regardless of her shittiness, I said please and thank you with a smile, as I always do with people who handle my food. But she didn't even look at me or acknowledge my presence except when writing down my order. Then I paid and said thank you... surely that would promot a "your welcome" and/or smile. But nope. Instead my politeness was combatted by her hatred. I typically wouldn't refer to anyone as racist from a single encounter. But I had to wonder why she was so happy while taking orders for the people in front of me, behind me, and on the phone, but was so bothered when it was time to take my order. Overpriced. We ordered the 1/3 burgers, loaded cheese fries, onion rings, and fried pickle. Burger nothing special and small, loaded cheese fries aren't fresh, and the fried pickles are chewy. The only we liked is the onion rings. Definitely won't go back. read more
