Enjoyed lunch today and it was spectacular. Should be a 3 star Michelin! I have eaten all over the world and this was one of the best meals ever! The service was refined and perfection to match.

Now this is what fine dining is.This, while being the most expensive michelin star ive been to, was hands down the best I've ever had. I tried the 10 course omnivore and the classic tasting menu. The amount of truffles, uni, and foie gras was enough to send me to heaven. The starts of the show had to have been the classics. The squab, tuna noodles, egg toast were the things I cant stop thinking about. The service, of course, impeccable. And I found out at the end of the course, the original lava cake was discovered by Jean Georges himself, so of course it was the most delectable lava cake i've had in my life. To top it all off, they roll over an unlimited dessert cart to you in the end, as if I didnt already run out of stomach space. Everyone also gets an almond cake to go at the end. Bonus points because their bathroom has the good soap and lotion.

The best restaurant in NYC... hand down !!! My wife and I had an absolutely exceptional night at Jean-Georges. We started with cocktails that were inventive, balanced, and expertly mixed -- a perfect way to begin. I enjoyed the 10-course tasting menu and my wife took the 6-course tasting menu; both were impeccably executed. Every course arrived precisely when it should have -- beautifully plated, thoughtful in flavor combination, and with terrific attention to texture and seasoning. A few standouts for us were a pristine seafood course and a perfectly cooked protein course, and the desserts were elegant without being heavy. Service here is an art form. The staff were superb -- choreographed and on top of every detail without ever feeling intrusive. From the hostess to the servers and runners, timing and coordination were flawless; plates were explained succinctly, the pacing never rushed, and refills/wine attention felt effortless. The dining room itself is elegant and modern with large windows that frame Central Park/Columbus Circle -- great for a special evening. Is it pricey? Yes -- but for the level of food, presentation, and service it felt like a worthy splurge. Perfect for anniversaries, and celebrations. Practical tips: book well in advance, request a window table if you want the view, and allow a couple of hours for the full tasting experience. I took us about 3 hours. Bottom line: phenomenal cocktails, world-class tasting menus, and staff who run a flawless dining choreography -- for us, easily one of the best restaurants in New York City. Highly recommended.

Jean-Georges delivers a masterclass in fine dining. From the moment you're seated at a table under glowing ceiling lights, you're in for something special. The space is serene--huge windows frame trees and sky, while the floral arrangements and soft-spoken staff create a calm, elegant atmosphere. The food? Next level. They offered us an amuse bouche of Tasmanian trout and a spring pea-Parmesan fritter which were both light and refreshing. They also imported their butter from France and served it with a variety of fresh bread. We chose the 3 savoury + 1 dessert tasting menu as a pair, so we tried 8 different items. Course 1 Foie gras: 10/10. The best I've had--umami-rich with mango-tamarind and pineapple tajin. Unexpectedly nostalgic to another fatty food, bone marrow, I used to have as a child. Yellowfin tuna: Fresh and well-prepared, though I wanted more acidity. Course 2 Dumpling in sour cream sauce--savory, creamy, balanced. Gulf shrimp was also great but not as memorable for me Course 3 Duck: Perfectly crisped skin, deeply umami. 10/10. Wagyu: Also a knockout. Broccoli and cheese sauces added richness and an esthetically bright citrus contrast. 10/10 Course 4 Comté cheese aged for several years was delicious Deconstructed black forest cake was an interesting blend of flavours although I would have loved more actual cake The restaurant experience was topped with gifted desserts at the end of the meal which were a lineup of chocolates and bonbons. Every detail felt intentional and elevated without trying too hard. Worth the splurge.

I think out of all high-end restaurants, this place has the most comfortable staff and services, as it makes me feel like I'm eating in my house, and the conversations with the staffs aren't as stiff compared to other restaurants of similar tier. I had their regular 10-course omnivore tasting menu, and they've offered to replace the dessert on my menu to another dessert on another menu. Here's my opinion on each one of the courses: 1. Amuse Bouche: each one has its own flavor, and they are mainly buttery and a bit salty without being too extreme. 10/10. 2. Egg Toast: It does have some toasty and smoky flavor similar to one of the amuse bouche, along with the saltiness from the caviar, it makes the dish flavorful. 8/10. 3. Amberjack ceviche: I think this is mostly veggie with a bit of fruity flavor. It balanced out the previous dish, but alone would be average. 7/10. 4. Yellowfin tuna: I think it's cooked differently from how I was used to, which makes this dish a little bit bland, but I wouldn't mind it considering the previous dishes are of different flavors, which makes this balance out. 6/10. 5. Heirloom tomato: a bunch of fresh fruity flavor is coming out from this dish, with a bit of sweetness from the tomato. 7/10. 6. Scamorza Dumplings: pretty average, similar to a homemade dish, but you can taste the highlights from each of the ingredients in the dish. 8/10. 7. Black sea bass: Very nice juicy flavors from the fish, and the bass is tender. 8.5/10. 8. Maine Lobster: pretty much a dish that I was used to when eating lobster, and possibly out of all dining places I've been to, the best cooked lobster I've had. I'm not a fan of the side dish pairings with the lobster though. 8/10. 9. Hudson Valley Foie Gras: my favorite dish, which had the sides balance out with the foie gras and gave it a pop of sweetness and souriness as a flavor. 10/10. 10. Wagyu Striploin: the side dishes with the juicy wagyu makes each flavor from the ingredients pop out. 9.5/10. 11. Fig ice cream: Very fruity flavor from the ice cream 7/10. The staff at the end came out with the dessert cart, which comes with champagne gummy bear, all sorts of different chocolates and cookies, and also tea. Overall, a comfortable experience! 7.8/10 for the food, and 10/10 for the service!

Came here for my birthday dinner and I can confidently say this is THE BEST fine dining / Michelin star restaurant I've EVER been to in my life. And I've been to a fair share of fine dining / Michelin star restaurants globally. To start off, service was literally IMPECCABLE. Like I know Michelin star fine dining restaurants are held to a high standard for service but omg the service was just... next level. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly by the hostess, who guides you to your seat. The servers are all sooooo knowledgeable and witty. I made a mess trying to eat my egg toast, and they swiftly came to cover up the mess. Also I adoredddd the personal touch they added with a birthday card, birthday cake, and a little goodie bag with pastries for the next morning. Things like this make a restaurant experience go from just "amazing" to "a truly life changing experience". Ambience is also just PERFECTION. Love how spaced out the seatings are. The seats are sooo cushiony and comfortable. The large windows are also amazing--- I loved how I was able to experience the restaurant when it was still light out, when the sun was setting, and when it got dark. The interior is literally like a chameleon. I definitely recommend coming here for dinner to be able to get the whole experience. And where do I start with the food. We got the 10-course omnivore tasting menu and everything was PERFECTION. I've been to quite a few Michelin star places where some dishes are amazing, but others are meh. Here, LITERALLY EVERYTHING was chefs kiss... there's nothing I would change about the menu!! Do note though that 10 course is.... Definitely a challenge when you don't have a big appetite. Next time, I might have to opt for the 6 course instead. - Amuse Bouche: 10000/10 (as an Asian that's used to good sushi, I'm very critical about sushi in non-Asian restaurants but the one here was amazing. The zucchini was soooo flavorful too and the uni was just mouthwateringly good. You can tell they use good uni, because it's sweet and not bitter.) - Egg toast: 100/10 (this thing is packed with caviar!! It's amazing but also soooo hard to eat!! DO NOT repeat my mistake and attempt to bite down on it.. please just have it in one bite, or cut it first) - Japanese snapper: 10000/10 (first off this dish is just beautiful to look at. It's also refreshing and sooo good... perfect to eat after the relatively heavier egg toast) - Yellowfin tuna: 1000000/10 (some of the best tuna appetizer I've ever had. Love the slightly creamy and citrusy sauce) - Heirloom tomato: 10/10 (loved the fresh tomato!!! This really reminded me of the tomato appetizer I had in Soil, which is a Michelin 1 star restaurant in Athens) - Kabocha Squash: 10000/10 (magnificent plating.. just look at how the plate created the shadows! The swish itself was also amazing, especially when paired with the truffles) - Maine lobster: 1000000/10 (I was already so full by this course but omg the lobster.... Best lobster I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and the sauce was soooo good) - Foie gras: 1000000000/10 (literally this was a life changing foie gras dish. Looks small, but don't be fooled by its size... it's super heavy and decadent!!) - Duck breast: 10000000000000/10 (tbh I could barely eat at this point but the duck was literally the BEST duck I've ever had in my LIFE. The Sichuan sauce really added a nice kick) - Passion fruit flower: 1000/10 (amazing presentation and amazingly tangy and creamy flavor) - Chocolate cake: 1000/10 (sooo rich and sooo good) - Dessert cart: 10000/10 (some of the best marshmallow and chocolate I've had in a while) Finally, we HAVE to talk about the wine!!! The sommelier was amazing-- he had really good recommendations and did an amazing job decanting the wine.

Astoundingly good food in one of the classiest interiors in Manhattan, with terrific service. 5 star food: Jean-Georges has a master chef at the helm. The food is always inventive and usually pretty amazing. 5 star ambience: there are few places in NyC with this level Of food with an interior and outdoor view this beautiful. Big plate glass windows look right out onto Central Park 5 star service: servers are almost ninjas here. They're smiling and glide in and out like a choreographed ballet.

This a review for November 2025. A wonderful tasting menu. One of the best in city. The egg toast is one of best starters. It is rich and flavorful. All the courses were on point flavor wise. Well seasoned and balanced. Proteins were perfectly cooked. I was stuffed by the dessert course. The service was excellent. The dining room is spacious and classy. Highly recommended.

    Jeanette G.

Incredible dinner experience! The staff were all so engaging and made our journey through the menu unforgettable. We did add the egg toast as an additional plate and I could eat only that everyday! It's a must. The wine selection was fantastic, exactly what we asked for. Unique flavor combinations such as sweet corn and pasta, were a wonderful culinary surprise.

Mignardises table! Chocolates, mini pastries & sweets, oh my!

The best high end dining in NYC. Everything was impeccable. Service, food, table setting, decor, and ambiance. Well worth it for a splurge. Lunch is back! Highly recommend it. Dress up and enjoy it all.

I've been to a 3 star Michelin in Napa/Sonoma, but this experience at Jean-Georges blew it out of the water. An absolute bucket list item I can't wait to repeat again and again. The food was absolute PERFECTION, to die for. Coming from Santa Barbara, the Amuse-bouche starting with Santa Barbara Uni was just the cherry on top! Every single bite got better one after the other. The space is intimate and unpretentious as was the excellent service! This is the second 2 star Michelins that we've been to and both far surpassed the food from the 3 star. It leaves one to wonder if the focus on the food rather than the pomp and circumstance is the aim for such an epic dining experience. We will be back again and again! Worth every penny!

Jean-Georges acclaimed restaurant is set in such an elegant dining room that's a haven from the chaos of columbus circle outside. I had the lunch six-course meal, started off with staff being so friendly and inviting with engaging small talk as well and made me feel at home. The dining room has tall ceilings and windows with nice views of the Columbus circle and skyscrapers along 5th avenue. Seats were very comfortable. The lunch menu started off with amuse bouche - sashimi and cheese/truffle fritter - both had gentle but deep tastes to start lunch and build anticipation, personally preferred the sushi more. Next was the notable egg toast - outstanding with soft, delicious egg yolk, so flavorful with brioche balanced by saltiness from caviar (coming from someone who normally doesn't like caviar). The yellowfin tuna was fine, not much of an impact but perhaps from unfortunately following the egg toast. Hudson valley foie gras went fantastic with cranberry sauce and was soft and gentle but with excellent contrasting textures with kinako. The tautog was my second favorite dish huge impact of flavors. The duck breast was cooked perfectly with juicy, tender meat and crispier skin, balanced by different sauces. Finally the apple confit was such a fun dish to eat by first "smashing" on the pumpkin, contrasting soft and crunchy textures but not too much sweetness as I normally would like for dessert. The bread had slightly salty butter with fresh taste, airy with crunchy skin. Overall a great lunch, perhaps a bit overpriced for amount of food but so tasty. Would definitely return to try the dinner full course!

    Ask the Community - Jean-Georges

In the vegetarian tasting menu vegan?

    No.

    Is the price service included?

Tip is not included in the price.

    Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?

Yes, I believe there is a ramp (up Trump tower) to the front entrance and the rest of the restaurant is all on one floor

Hello, What is the difference between breakfast and lunch?…

Jean-Georges isn't open for Breakfast, only lunch and dinner. On the other hand, Nougatine which is the other restaurant located in Trump Tower---next to Jean-Georges is open for Breakfast. No prixe-fixe at Nougatine.

What would my wife and I wear if we were to go to lunch here?

Jacket in main dining room. Overall simple and smart for both as you would enjoy the dining experience even more feeling a little more upscale vs slumming through the meal

What are some tips for getting a table during lunch?

Reservations can be booked up to 31 days in advance. Choose your date and book right at midnight to ensure you have first choice of your desired time.

Can you only order from the prefix menu for dinner?

Having been there recently, I can answer yes.

What is the minimum age allowed in the main dining room? I thought it used to be 12.

It is still 12, at least that is what I understood. I did in fact make sure that my son also donned a sports coat, just to keep with the dress code ?

It's not your typical lychee martini. It has Aperol and pineapple, which gives it a great flavor. My only note is that I wish it were a bit stronger. For appetizers we had the yellowtail, which is a must get. It was delicious. We also had the lobster spring rolls, another great dish, and the crispy wontons, which were good but not my favorite compared to everything else. For our entrée we got the beef tenderloin, another must get. It was amazing, super tender, and melts in your mouth. We had it with the fried rice, which was solid. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwich, which was different in the best way and extremely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the cone "buns" were perfection. Overall, this place is gorgeous and the food matches. I would definitely return. The service was also great, the perfect balance of letting you do your own thing and truly enjoy your evening while still checking in. It is pricey. We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

Best way to describe this is luxe Asian or bougie Chinese. If you are fan of top Chef it would be called soigné. We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

The spring salad was delicious, and the chicken lettuce cups were amazing -- definitely a standout. The rock shrimp was also delicious, and both the fried rice and lo mein were very good. I wasn't a big fan of the fried dumplings; they didn't have much flavor in my opinion. I also ordered the filet mignon -- it looked more well-done when it came out, but it was actually cooked perfectly medium to medium-plus. Overall, a great experience with a few highlights and only a small miss.

My cousin told me about this restaurant and based on the reviews that I saw on here, Google, and…read moreInstagram, I was down to try. When it comes to ambience, this place checks off every box. I loved the decor, lighting, furniture, and music. It's very spacious, and I really liked that they have separate areas for dining, large groups, and if you want do hookah. Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I would try it again just to see if I didn't choose the right options.
