This was a cool break from Wine tours. It was inexpensive and could go as fast or as slow as you wanted. We didn't leave with a bunch of Jelly Beans. We did however find out they used to have a factory about 15 minutes from home i Belleville, IL. I never knew that. All of the Jelly Belly art was pretty cool. They were not making jelly beans the day we went but they were packaging them. That spider arm sorter was pretty cool to see. We had a good time. Only left with the Crispy Crème Jelly Bellies for a friend.

Jelly Belly Factory has a visitor center in Fairfield, CA. The visitor center is a quick easy drive off Interstate 80. It's free to enter and check out what they have to offer. What do they have at the visitor center? Cafe: It's open 7 days a week, 9am-10:45am for breakfast and 11am-3pm for lunch. It's located in the first floor. It's counter service. The hamburgers and pizzas are shaped as a jellybean. Stinking cute. Their menu is quite extensive even includes salads and a kids menu. The dining area is huge. It has lots of seating in natural lighting with its many windows. Bright 'n cherry vibes. Snack bar: Have a snack hankering, and not wanting a larger meal. No worries, check out the snack bar next to the cafe. The menu includes ice cream and Icees. My kind of snack bar. Wine and chocolate tasting room: The room is located on the second floor (Very Cherry Room). Open daily 11am-4pm. The room has windows, bright n cherry. Shops -Retail shop: On the first floor, center of the building is the retail shop. They sell an assortment of items... jelly beans, tshirts, mugs,, stickers, plushies, magnets, keychains, and gift items. But before you purchase the jellybeans in the retail shop, check out the discount shop that's located next to the cafe. -Chocolate counter: Within the retail shop area is a chocolate counter. They make chocolate confections and fudge on site. The cheapest items I saw was chocolate molded pops for $1.50. -Discount jelly bean shop: There is a room next to the cafe dining area that sells discounted jelly beans. 50 cents for small packs while the same size in the retail shop goes for $3-$4. $2 assortment boxes. I bought some sugar free jelly bean packs ( made from allulose) and assortment boxes. -Factory & Museum Tour: They charge for the factory tour & museum access. I recall back in the far past, the tours were free. Well not anymore; the pricing is $8 for adults, $4 for 3-17 year olds, and kids younger than 3 are free. I didn't go on the tour. -State of California Visitor Center: The center is in a room next to the cafe. It had paper pamphlets of activities & tour info of cities throughout California. I was looking at a list of wineries and tasting rooms within Fairfield, I didn't know there were so many. Also the center sold State California brand merchandise. Not tchotchke throw away trinkets, but items like art prints, mugs, tea towels, etc.

It had been a while since my last visit, and unfortunately, the experience isn't what it used to be. The tour now requires a ticket, which definitely changes expectations. When it was free, it felt like a fun, casual stop--but now that you're paying, the shortcomings are a lot more noticeable. Some of the features that used to make it special, like the smell stations, weren't working during my visit, and the overall interactivity felt pretty limited. You do get a small bag of jelly beans at the start and the ticket also includes a short train ride to a separate museum area. The museum itself was actually kind of cool, and there's an outlet-style shop there too. That said, the core factory tour feels a bit scaled back, and it just doesn't quite justify the cost anymore. It could still be enjoyable for kids or big fans of the brand, but overall, it feels like it's lost some of its charm and value compared to how it used to be.

The Jelly Belly Visitors Center is such an iconic part of Fairfield I've done the tour before and it is really cute and straightforward, self guided but still worth doing. The service is good, and the person I was with said they'd tried the cafe food before and really liked it so we decided to get lunch there. I was pleasantly surprised with the jelly bean shaped burger! It was a little messier than a regular burger but just as delicious. I enjoyed my meal and my overall experience. Very Nostalgic vibes at this factory so happy they stay open.

We stopped at the Jelly Belly visitor center and museum on our way to Lodi. Entry was $8 for adults. As we walked along the elevated walkway overlooking the production floor, we could see jelly bellys in every color being produced. Along the way there were several letters from President Reagan, large pictures created with jelly bellies and descriptions of what we were seeing. We learned how jelly belly's are made. The museum across the parking lot was also very interesting. The gift shop had a lot of great deals and the staff were very pleasant. When visiting plan for an hour to two hours.

Went there for the self-guided tour which is only $8 per adult. Touring the facility was pretty nice. You get to see a lot of Jelly Belly creations on display like portraits of Ronald Reagan, George Washington, Martin Luther King, etc. We came on a Saturday and unfortunately the production lines are shut down on the weekends, so we didn't see any live action. We were able to gaze at the production line from a distance and see where everything is made. After our tour, we got our fill of jelly beans amd chocolate to take home. We then stopped at their café for a bite to eat. I went with their Philly Cheesesteak which was really good, though a couple bites felt kind of grisly. It did the job. We then finished off by strolling through their museum. Great place to learn how Jelly Belly came into its own. This is something fun to pass time. If you want to see the production line running, come on the weekdays.

We had 6 tour passes that we were waiting to use until after Xmas. Calendar said production was going on the 26th but we got there and it wasn't. I realize they can change according but I wish they would update the calendar so out of towners can gauge their visit. Walking through listening to the videos was educational and the interactive games were fun. We loved the museum and the history that this company is built on. It's very rich. We had a fun time otherwise. The shop is pricey but there were a few good deals to take advantage of. The chocolate shop provided a variety of truffles, fudge and other chocolate treats.

Made a day trip of getting Easter goodies for the grands and ended up going thru the factory tour. How interesting! The place was built with touring/oversight in mind! Everything from raw materials to finished product being prepared. And I cannot say enough about the tour guides (so friendly and energetic) - added to our day! Thank you, Jelly Belly! Don't change a thing!

Mr. Jelly Belly Magnet, we collect magnets, so this is a great souvenir!

Update, lots of exciting changes since our last visit! Not to mention it was both our 1 year old and 8 year old's first visit! They loved the Jelly Belly Self-Guided Tour! Prices are $4 for ages 3-17, $8 for Adults, 20% off for Active Military and free for ages 2 and under! You must wear your paper hat given at all times and you'll receive a free bag of Jelly Beans for touring! They have a couple fun games you can play and lol you'll be craving Jelly Beans the entire time as you smell the workers making the candy! We decided to stop in for lunch at the Jelly Belly Cafe. I ordered the Loaded Waffle Fries, my hubby ordered the Jelly Belly Western Burger, our eldest ordered the Bean Shaped Cheese Pizza and our youngest had the Kid's Chicken Nuggets with Fruit Cup. Everything is Jelly Bean shaped here and the food is pretty good as well! Kids meal came with a souvenir cup! The Jelly Belly Candy Store is a fun themed shop filled with souvenirs, gift options and candy galore! I picked out my favorite flavor, Buttered Popcorn Jelly Beans Box and loved the Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice Bottle as well! My eldest picked out Boba Milk Tea Mini Cup since she loves boba, she liked the majority of them! The Extreme Sport Beans Caffeinated were a hit with my hubby at work! The Mr. Jelly Belly Magnet will make a fun addition to our fridge and The Princess and the Bean T-shirt matches big sissy's! Came in a pinch too when she got her top wet at lunch! Our last stops, the Jelly Belly Express Lane Train Ride and Jelly Belly Museum! This wasn't here the last time hubby and I visited! This fun train ride takes you straight to the museum for free if you tour the factory! We learned a lot of history about Jelly Belly and enjoyed seeing the amazing Jelly Bean art! My favorite is the Chinese Zodiacs! We'll definitely be back to explore more, we need to get their chocolate covered apples, fudge and truffles next time! My hubby's favorite is the belly flops, imperfections sold in big bags! Expensive, but fun shapes! The Not to mention they offer wine tasting pairings and host special events! SYOY! :D

Some kind of sorting (or rather, mixing). It was very satisfying

I have lived in the Bay Area and had never gone here. Was it worth the drive? I would say that if you like factories, jelly beans, and/or have a kid over 7, it would be a fine way to spend an hour and a half. Definitely go during a weekday morning, when machines are running and people are on the floor. It is truly mesmerizing. There are a lot of videos and audio components, but it was hard to hear over the noise of the factory and noise of whatever kids are around (babies and younger kids were not enjoying it). It would be helpful if they upgraded how they educated the public. Videos should be closed captioned and in sitting nooks if they want people to hear, especially for the oral histories. There were also a lot of wordy posters that were hard to read and keep going. So we were mostly just looking through the windows and enjoying that. There is plentiful parking. The store has all the fun flavors (and reduced price belly flops). My 13 year old had so much fun that now my 10 year old wants to go.

I love Jelly Belly. Saw their Warehouse of the freeway in Fairfield. Dropped in and bought the self guided tour of the Manufacturing warehouse complete with the train ride and Museum tour included. Got to see how the Jelly Belly were made and saw their workers and their robots at work. Pretty cool to see how much Jelly Belly's this manufacturing warehouse pumps out. Love the museum tour I did not know the company existed in the 1800's and how they delivered to troops in world war 2. They have the Jelly Belly plain hanging from the rafters. Such a cool history. I love their Belly Flops Jelly Belly. Bought a case of the Belly Flops and a bunch of other Jelly Belly products.

We unfortunately came here when the production line was closed - decided to go ahead with the self guided tour anyway as we were already there and the entry fee wasn't bad and it comes with a small bag of jelly beans. We walked around the place, looking at covered production lines. Still enjoyable as there were historical artifacts displayed. The kids also enjoyed the jelly belly train that takes you from the main location to the museum. If I had more time I would have gone around a couple of times on it. On my way out I bought the not so loved jelly bellys located at the back corner near the cafeteria. Bought boxes / bags for $2 each - very good value! Would love to come back here again when the production line is up and running. Better planning on my part!

I have been coming on tours here for over thirty years, and it just keeps getting better. I love the improved tour where you can go at your own pace, watch the informational clips, look at the artifacts and down at the factory floor, and play digital games. It is fun for all ages!!!

One female employee with long gray hair and glasses looked up, made eye contact with disgust, and immediately looked away without acknowledging us. Since no one welcomed us, I took the initiative and said, "Hello." The same employee responded with a stoic expression and asked if I wanted a map. I declined, and that was the extent of the interaction. The atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming from that point forward. My friend and I then browsed the souvenir area. While my friend used the restroom, I waited nearby holding her belongings. A short time later, the same employee walked over and appeared to be adjusting merchandise in the area, but it felt as though she was monitoring me rather than stocking products. I was left with the impression that I was being viewed with suspicion. We left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed. A visitor center should make guests feel welcome, and unfortunately that was not our experience. As an Asian visitor, I left feeling singled out and concerned that bias may have played a role in how we were treated.
