I come to Spokane a lot and I almost always stop here for breakfast. My son and I stumbled upon this place one morning while searching for some great morning grub. This place turned out to fit the bill perfectly. It has that down home feel and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. Plus I've never had to wait for more than a couple minutes to get a seat. I've only tried a few items on the list and so far the Country Fried Steak is my favorite so I usually just go with that. I've found that if you find something you love somewhere you might as well just keep ordering it so you're sure to enjoy it! That said, the other dishes I tried were tasty and they have a wide selection so I'm sure you'll find something you like. The portions are on the larger side and they have all-you-can-eat hashbrowns too! This was one of the worst chicken fried steaks I've ever had. I only took a picture of mine my husbands we sent back should have sent mine back as well. My husbands chicken fried steak was close to black. All I could taste on mine was a burnt taste. So gross The second chicken fried steak they sent out for my husband was better but still not great. Very bland just like their all you can eat hash browns. Maybe the omelette and pancakes taste good because it was very busy there. What a find! The staff is friendly, the decor is warm and inviting, and the food is great. A recommendation? Sit at the counter! I had the opportunity to sit between the owner's husband and a Navy veteran (a regular) and enjoyed great conversation with each of them over a great meal. The place was packed, so it may not be the best option on a Saturday morning if you're in a hurry...but this is one of those places that is about the experience. Took about 30 minutes to get a mini breakfast..two link sausages, one egg, and hash browns. Egg was leathery..all the food was cooked on too high heat on the grill. The sausage was deep fried. We walked into Jenny's Cafe & I was instantly thrilled. This place was PACKED (must mean the food is good right?!) and the decor was so dang cute! Despite the hoard of people waiting to be sat, we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was very nice and kept our coffees filled. I wish sooo bad that the food was better here. I wouldn't say it's necessarily bad but it's very mediocre. The coffee was absolutely terrible. This place would have gotten 2 stars from me if the large food portions and great atmosphere didn't redeem the extra star. History: my wife's and I's first date was at jennys. So to say I've never had good service there isn't true. However: Since 2008 we have made it a regular stop to come in whenever we can, and with having a child it's next to never, so we really try to go to jennys anytime we have the oppurtunity. The service has really gone downhill, it doesn't have the same feel that it used to. Our visit this time was a reminder that it isn't the same place anymore. I guess it's true when a local company has success, it's easily blinded by it and doesn't see its failures. We came in like normal, waiting to be seated. Was seated, but greeter wasn't enthusiastic by any means. We sat for 5 minutes after the greeter had pointed to a table, she came back asking if we wanted anything to drink. We usually start with a water and end up getting orange juices when our food comes out. We said just waters would be fine, and that we were ready to order (as we had sat for 5 minutes already.) In mid sentence the lady turns and walks away from us with no acknowledgment.... I looked at my wife and said let's go find a new place. No longer will we be wasting our time here. We were more impressed with the quality of the service at the IHOP just down the road.. Sorry jenny, but you need to step up your expectations of your quality of service, or I'm afraid I won't be the only one wondering why I'm wasting my time sitting there. read more

They only care about you if you're a friend or regular if not they ignore you. The food is inconsistent sometimes it's good other times it's so bad they should pay you to eat it. The inside is decorated in a cute way and the staff was nice, but for a place that boasts about "home of all you can eat hash browns" they really don't make that great of hash browns. They had no crunch and barely tasted cooked, so in essence you don't want to order more than what came with your plate. The coffee isn't that great and other than hash browns the food was mediocre. This place is amazing! My friend and I came in for the first time today. We told the waitress and she helped us navigate the menu happily. She offered a warmed up cinnamon roll with butter for my friend and when I asked about the sweet cream pancake she got so excited and said they are awesome and she can't eat pancakes anywhere else since trying them( she's right, I had tears in my eyes while eating it, it's that good) both of our actual meals where so good, all homemade and made with love. I came here with my wife yesterday morning on a date before my little brother's football game. Star 1 is for the food quality. There food is nothing fancy but it definitely hit the spot for a classic diner breakfast. Star 2 is for the service. We sat up at the counter and the waitress took care of us very well. Star 3 is for the atmosphere. This place just has a homey, cozy, traditional feel that brought back memories of childhood. Star 4 is for the food being worth the price. My wife and I both got two full meals for about 20 bucks, which was a pretty good deal if you ask me. Star 5 is for the WOW factor. I only give the WOW factor star if the place I eat had something that really wows me. The one thing that wowed me here were their bottomless hash browns. I loved having the option to eat as many hash brown as I wanted considering they are one of the best breakfast foods ever invented. On our last day in Washington we went to brunch at a diner right around the corner from our friends' apartment in The Valley (local lingo I picked up in my 3 days in town ;)). Jenny's Cafe was just right for a classic diner breakfast. This was a traditional small-town place, with massive portions, cheap food, never-ending hash browns, and lots of variety, from classic breakfast and lunch dishes to Jenny's own unique creations. Our server was delightfully charming, and our food came quickly and was quite tasty. I could only finish half of my meal or so (and I got one of the more modest meals!), and I didn't eat again for another 10 hours that day. While nothing fancy, the massive fluffy pancakes, hash browns, and crispy bacon definitely hit the spot. read more

Short stacks (yes you can add fruit to them for a little extra price), crepes of different flavors, french toast, "Jenny's Kitchen Sink" (hashbrowns, eggs, cheese, green pepper, onions, sausage and bacon scrambled together), every type of egg you could think of and of course several different kinds of omelets. Unlimited hasbrowns and unlimited pancakes anyone? If that doesn't catch your fancy then might as well head to the FIVE egg omelet. You definitely wont leave hungry. There are some lunch choices as well but I didn't even attempt to read that section. This is also the place to go if you are wanting a small town feel in the bigger city of Spokane. Cute shabby chic country kitchen atmosphere and drinks served in Bell jars complement the amazing home cooked flavors of the food served. I enjoyed a breakfast burrito the size of my arm.
