How have I never been to a Jersey Mike's after all these years? After my brother-in-law told me how frequently he enjoyed their subs, I finally made a visit to this Fair Lawn location. Since I wasn't quite sure what to order, I chose a chicken bacon ranch sub straight off the menu and only substituted the cheese type. I've heard some comparisons to Subway's, but I love that there is a hot grill here, which makes all the difference. My sub was satisfyingly full of warmed chicken, bacon, and neatly piled vegetables. The folks behind the counter work so fast that our order was ready within mere minutes, and they were quick to respond to needs. For instance, I returned to the counter to request some extra pickles, and they were so nice about packing it neatly into a cup even though I was dining in. I know chains are frequently overlooked when it comes to dining recommendations, but I'm happy to report that my husband and I had a solid meal. This particular Jersey Mike's is part of a larger complex. Since there are quite a few eateries (mainly chains) that share the space, parking is plentiful but can get a little tight during meal hours. Inside, the space offers plenty of seating. read more

The dirtiest Jersey Mikes I have ever been to and I have been to many of them in Jersey. Trash on the floor in the dining area as well as the rest room. Both garbage cans overflowing with trash. I picked this spot for lunch and ordered online. I ordered the mushroom sandwich. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted. My food was ready but there were some things they didn't have that I had to substitute. I retrieved them and left. When I got in I ate and the sandwich was pretty good and filling. Super nice staff at this location. Came here during covid19 situation today to pick up subs for me and the hubs for dinner. Friendly staff, clearly getting bombarded with orders bc they were slammed and not expecting high volume but they handled it like champs. I was high maintenance and asked for an extra side of chipotle mayo for the hubs and BAM! Like a genie they granted my wish and gave me a large side of sauce. Girl at cash register also super accommodating. She had my hot subs wrapped and I inquired about lettuce and mayo and she reply's "oh ok you're supposed to just tell them when you order bc hot subs don't come out over there" (she points to condiments section) but she still asked me what I'd like and re-opened the subs to fix them the way I wanted and said no problem and never gave attitude. Jersey Mike's I have found to be really good for a sandwich chain (miles ahead of Subway). The hot sandwiches are always solid and the cold ones they make fresh by slicing the meat to order. While I will always prefer a local deli, I think Jersey Mike's is very respectable. read more

If you want to be mistreated as a customer and then scolded at for being cold, this is the spot. Worst of all the so called manager praises his workers instead of realizing what was done . If you are serving someone you look them in the eye and smile, not blame the customer for your lazy work ethic. That so called manager, short little fella needs to get some education in what he calls "hospitality". Avoid going to the Fairlawn Promenade location if you want your blood pressure to be normal. The food is good can't complain . The sandwiches are great . However, walking in the staff was a bit sarcastic . And not that friendly. They could've done better with being professional . One employee made a passive comment when I picked up a menu . Saying I could just "look at the display menu" and I don't know about you but I like having my own personal menu close ...so that me when I look down it's more comfortable. I know it's a franchise but the difference between the Fairlawn location and the Rochelle Park location is night and day. Fairlawn takes safety seriously. Everyone wears a mask employees and customers and they enforce it. They have protective plastic and distancing marks clearly displayed. They were clean and used gloves properly. The other location was a disaster with every employee wearing their masks below their nose and messy messy! I enjoy the sandwiches at jersey mikes, and the staff is friendly. I just wish they didn't soak sandwiches in oil and vinegar. I'm not sure if it's because they have such big bottles, and too much comes out too quick? I've asked to go easy and sometimes it was fine, other times still too much. I try putting it in the comments if I order online, but sometimes it's over looked. It's just messy when it's that much, and the bread gets really soggy. Went to Jersey Mike's @3120 Promenade Blvd, Fair Lawn, NJ . Fresh baked bread but I got 2 sliced of Roast Beef. & it was so dry! They were cheap with the lettuces, Tomatoes. I was so disappointed.!! I feel like this place is bait and switch. I absolutely loved Jersey Mikes when it first opened. Though expensive, they'd pile on lots of meat to make for a spectacular meal. They cut way, way back. Now I get a fraction of the meat and cheese as before - yet the price is still the same. I keep going back hoping my prior experiences were one-offs, but they continue to be weak. I really like this place. The staff is good. Sandwiches taste great. I love how they have cherry pepper relish, fresh jalapeno and banana peppers. The bacon is always crispy and they give you a good portion of deli meat. Here's a tip. Add double the meat! Well worth it. They really do a good job. They also have a rewards program. read more

The staff at this location are very nice. While waiting for my order, I held a conversation with a few of them. As for the sandwiches, they were made accurate and tasted great. I will continue to use this location because it's close to home, the atmosphere is great and my order was made correctly! Great addition to the promenade! Edit: I returned to this location and they hired a sour lemon by the name of Bailey. Not sure if she's a zombie or she's just tired. In any case she shouldn't be working with people. This is my favorite sandwich chain, hands down. The bread is delicious and the cold cuts are good, not cheap and the sandwiches have a good amount of meat in them. Good subs and fast with a location that has parking. What more can you ask for? If you choose to eat in and want a coffee or whatever, a Starbucks is steps away. I had just recently picked up my sandwich today and I am not happy with my order. The people inside seemed nice and friendly but they were too busy talking with each other and not focusing on my order. I had ordered a Italian sandwich and asked for no onions. What I got was a ham and cheese sandwich with onions on it. They forgot to add the other meats that belong in the Italian sandwich and put something on my sandwich that I didn't ask for.
