I have been coming to this location I guess since the beginning. I always get the same order, gyro over rice with an extra pita. The portions a very generous. The white sauce is the best around. Never an issue when ordering in person. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Now that I'm older I drive less so I use delivery apps a lot. My only complaint is their app. It never allows me to order delivery. And the Uber Eats app doesn't allow you to order extra sautéed onions. The onions are the best. I'm not sure what all the good reviews are about but my experience ordering as been different. I ordered the chicken and gyro platter with their greens, carrot and cabbage slaw, hummus, and pickled onions. The hummus portion was half a teaspoon, the greens are terribly wet and wilted and there's barely any kale just all wet bad looking Spanish, the "gyro" looks like sausage and is super rubbery tastes fake, and the carrot and cabbage slaw was like one table spoon worth. We also added spiced chickpeas and cabbage/carrot slaw for only 20 cents extra (each), so it was nice that we got to add some extra veggies. The platters come with some pita. The food is absolutely delicious. However, the serving portions here are unbelievably ridiculous. Very little rice, mix, and lettuce. My son ordered onions (which I find disgusting) by mistake and to my surprise, they were very generous with it. I was a regular at their Hackensack location until it closed and portions were never an issue. I have tried the Paramus site but I can't take the traffic there so it was time for us to order from Fairlawn. I can assure you that we will not be going back ever again. It's too expensive taking into consideration that you will have to order extra to make sure everyone is full when done. Fortunately, I always order extra so it saved the day and we had no leftovers. I was craving good falafel today, and went to this place based on the high rating and reviews. I got the falafel wrap, which I expected to come out like most places - warm and flavorful. It was unfortunately the worst falafel wrap I've ever had. It was all cold - the wrap, tomatoes, and lettuce were so cold that the falafel was now cold too. The wrap was also so bland, no flavor. I just ate a bit of the falafel with the side of hummus (which also wasn't so good) and threw the rest of the sandwich out. Maybe the platter would've been better. The service wasn't helpful. When I'd asked the guy who took my order about the two options, he didn't mention the platter may be better as the wrap would be cold or over an option for it to be served warm. read more

Always loved going here for that late night chicken and rice fix, but haven't been here since covid happened. Walking in, all the chairs and tables were removed to encourage social distancing, but there were plenty of outdoor seating. I ordered a mixed chicken and gyro platter which I highly recommend. Also, highly recommend it with plantains if you like that sweet and salty mix. They now prepackaged all the sauces and if you want more you can easily ask for more. Walked in and you had a good 7 people waiting for food around 7pm on a Monday night. That was terrific. Nothing worse than an empty restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the music was at a good volume which set an enjoyable vibe. The food was exactly what I was looking for. The hot sauce was very tasty. It was nice that you opted for Poland Spring water, instead of the cheaper Nestle' brand which is filled with additives. I do have some, hopefully helpful, constructive criticisms - 1) Everything is expensive these days, so you don't want to give away extra "stuff." * Your staff could have saved you 3 white sauces. We ordered two platters and were given 5 white sauces and 2 hot sauces. We used 2 white and 2 hot. I appreciate the generosity, I'm just saying, it seems that some employees might be giving too much sauce away. We did use both hot sauces, but asking customers seems more cost effective. Not everybody actually wants hot sauce. * Your staff could have saved you a big to-go bag by asking if we were taking out or dining in. We planned to eat at a table, so we didn't need the bag at all. It was a nice bag, so it wasn't cheap. * Your staff could have saved you napkins. It's terrific that they gave napkins in the bag, but since we were staying, in we already had napkins. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff whose establishment is much smaller than their Hackensack store but both have ample parking. There were several tables for indoor and outdoor dining. The menu offers make-your-own salads, platters, pitas and wraps. Falafel, beef gyro, chicken, chicken/beef mix are the protein options whose toppings include hummus, plantains, falafel, spiced chickpeas. and cheese. Of course, no meal would be complete without their famous white or spicy sauce. I've chosen their platter with mixed meat over rice, salad, lettuce and pita. As a Yelp check-in, one free drink is offered with the platter. The food was ready within a few minutes and tasty as everything was fresh with great flavor. One word of caution with the red sauce as it's very spicy. If you've never eaten their food, what you're waiting for and give this place a shot which I can recommend. read more

Customers waiting in the store for service should ALWAYS come first over any call-in or online placed orders. People who show up SHOULD be a priority. When I'm told my food will be ready in five minutes and I'm waiting there 15, while all the women behind the counter gossip, I don't want to hear that as a hungry, paying customer. Sometimes they throw in extra white sauce for free However, I'm reluctant to come back because I've seen a lot of orders fall through the cracks: (1) I'll order ahead, even a day ahead of time, and when I arrive they'll say they never got the order even though I paid for it. (2) Or they'll have the wrong item ready when I order ahead. (3) Or if I order in person, they'll be so busy they lose track of my order and they have to start it over. (4) One time I ordered for 5 people, and we only got 3 orders and even those were incorrect. The staff is friendly so there weren't any issues in them making it again, but it's a repeated problem. Before driving out of NJ, I decided to stop by for a quick bite and found myself at Juicy! The place looked busy but they work fast so people were constantly in and out. I ordered the Platter (~$9) with Chicken & Gyro Mixed. For my toppings, I added 2-piece Falafel for $1. The platter comes with rice, salad, sautéed onions, and pita bread. It's also served with their white sauce and red sauce! I was also able to redeem a free fountain drink with a Yelp check-in! Within 5-10 minutes my order was ready and I grabbed a table outside to enjoy my meal. At first glance, the platter looked pretty basic and not as appealing as other halal platters I've had or seen. Quantity-wise, it didn't look like it would fill me up since they know use different bowls than a lot of Yelp pictures I've seen. Despite this, the bowl was really good. The chicken and beef had great seasoning although the portion could have been better. The salad was literally just lettuce, so I think that could have been spiced up with some tomato and cucumbers, at the very least. The falafel was surprisingly good; it had that nice, bright green color and a golden brown crisp on the outside. It gave the whole dish a crunchy element which I enjoyed. The white sauce was the real winner! I put that on everythang! Like it was that good. I'm not a fan of hot sauce with this usually but it definitely had a kick to it. First time coming here. Ordered the gyro platter. Food came w 2 cups of white sauce and 1 small cup of red sauce (I asked for extra red sauce). Also half a pita! The meat was nice and minced. Which could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. For me, it was a little too small- didn't really feel like I was eating gyro meat. I think overall flavor was super good. I have heard a lot about the place from my friends and always see a huge crowd outside. I ordered a falafel bowl with spiced chickpeas, cheese, and tomatoes. Also, I ordered the bowl over rice, but you can choose between a salad or green blast. The bowl initially comes with a base of spiced rice, enormous falafel balls, lettuce, caramelized onions, pita, and tahini sauce. I wasn't aware that the onions would be caramelized and was not a big fan. I would suggest to opt-out of onions. The rice was seasoned perfectly, and the falafel balls were very fresh. In comparison to other halal spots (Halal Guys, Mamoun's), Juicy Platters makes the most massive falafel balls. I would highly recommend visiting this spot! The food is delicious and inexpensive.
