The Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese Steaks - grilled onions, peppers, mushroom, jalapenos, & extra white American cheese. ($13.04 w/tax).
    Fran C.

It was my very first time having Jersey Mike's Subs on Oahu, but I had Jersey Mike's a few times on Maui....... I was working at Kahala Mall, and since Jersey Mike's was just a hop, skip, & jump away from the Bank of Hawaii, I decided to pop on in for a sandwich. Besides the standard cold subs, Jersey Mike's also does hot sandwiches - like the "Big Kahuna Chicken" Cheese Steak sandwich which I ordered. Never mind da vegetables, it's all about da MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT, and throw in a few peppers, mushrooms, & cheese baby! To top off my sandwich DEALAGES, Jersey Mike's Sub sent me a promo coupon, where I was able to get a free sandwich when I ordered a sandwich! MAHALO! Can we say DEALAGES Yo!!!! Lol!!! A very meaty sandwich, with minimum fillers........das da way us men like our MAN Sandwiches, or shouldI say "Manwich"!!! Buwahahahahahahaha! Service here was on point...........fast & efficient. Jersey Mike's makes your sandwiches on the spot when you place your order, so please be patient. If you're pressed for time, and you don't wanna wait, may I suggest placing a food order before arriving, then the staff at Jersey Mike's will process your food order, then the staff will place your food order on a "pickup" shelf. Jersey Mike's Sub is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay moa' bettah than the other sub competitors! Chance 'em! No can go wrong!

Making it Mike's Way (minus the onions)

I love sandwiches... Something about putting all your favorites between bread to enjoy especially on a hot summer afternoon nothing that a hot plate lunch can cure though I was in the Kahala Mall area I just didn't want to fight for parking and lines and though that this 4618 Kahala location which is just beside the mall where there's a bunch of shops and always parking available would be the perfect place for some lunch. Walking in is nice as the shop is nice and clean though you start at the back to order your sandwich and since I wanted to make it Mike's Way which is to add the lettuce and tomatoes it's only available for cold sandwiches...Jersey Shore's Favorite was it. Topped with Provolone, Ham & Cappacuolo they slice each item to order so you do feel the freshness to which you move on to the toppings and Mike's Way is shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions and juice or the dressing, it's all loaded and wrapped to go. The shop is nice and clean with a few seatings most are high tops as the lower regular seating area labeled for disable so I decided to take my sandwich outside where there's are lots of shaded seating. Service is nice but pretty basic but I enjoyed my sandwich that got quite pricey as I didn't say though they didn't ask what size which I will remember the next time. Thank you!

Horrible sandwich. I usually get my sandwich from University location. They didn't even ask me for any veggies and so little meat

My favorite sub place here in Honolulu! Mike's Way really is the way! I love everything I've tried here and the portions are huge. My favorite is the club supreme which comes with turkey, roast beef and bacon! So flavorful. The staff are super friendly and even when I forgot my purse there and called a few minutes later they had already grabbed it and put it in the safe for me! I love the choice of indoor and outdoor seating at this location right next to Kahala mall. The sizes are very generous and I can split a giant with the family! Even the mini is very filling. Well worth the money. Can't wait to go back and try more.

I thought i reviewed Jersey Mike's I guess not . Stopped there today to get a sub buy 1 sub get one free. Thanks to Peter .Y giving me a coupon what a deal . I ordered a Roast beef sandwich i noticed that their bread is on the hard side . Also i noticed that they do not have black olives part of their vegetables. Although next i time i would order their Philly cheese steak .

Jersey Mike always gets it done for me. Sub here are very fresh. They cut all the deli meat in front of you , staffs are very friendly and always on the spot for my orders. Tables inside are always very clean. Get the combos are a must

Honestly this is my favorite location. They put a good amount of meat and I can tell the people who work here care/have been trained well cause the meat to bread ratio is on point. At other locations I will sometimes get too much bread and a little bit of meat. Or the mikes way is crazy strong. But this location has always made my sandwiches perfect. My fav is the cheesesteak and turkey

Ordered #44 Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak, HOWEVER, rec'd a #26 Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak. It was delicious, although I would've preferred to receive my correct order. They weren't busy, but there was a very difficult customer before me. The staff handle her very well, never showing frustration, just completed all of her ridiculous request. Cred's for that. Got there at opening time, 10am, due to difficult customer, I didn't get my order until 1025am. I don't blame the restaurant for this, they were dealing with the difficult customer. The restaurant was nice & clean.

I used to come to this one all the time back in the 1980s. I only had fond memories. When we walked in, it had the same old musty smell like the Niu Valley Jack In The Box. Soda area was pretty dirty with lots of spilled soda all over and no employees bother to wipe it down. The Jumbo Jack was SO SMALL!! Barely anything in it!! They also didn't have ketchup!! How odd is that to not have ketchup? Some customer lost his temper and started yelling at the workers and eventually got into it with the manager. He claimed he was waiting for an hour for his food, which I highly doubt, but it was quite entertaining hearing him scream his head off at the manager. "I don't want my food now because you guys will probably spit in it!" He kept saying that over and over. It was pretty funny. Anyway, the place was just as smelly and dirty as the Niu Valley location, and the Jumbo Jack wasn't very "jumbo"! Hahaha!! I doubt we will return to any Jack In The Box establishments because so far 2 out of 2 were lousy!! I don't see much of a future for Jack In The Box. Sorry.

I would definitely get again along with these popcorn shrimp soft tacos that hopefully stay around long after this past Lent season. Warning their Moby Jack fish sandwich is trash. Maybe the "higher ups" should actually support them so the reviews won't be so low. Ty to the manager for reaching out below but the survey is so generalized I don't think it will reach the correct people and I do not want those particular employees penalized. The 2 is for the extremely SLOW service, orders are generally wrong, something is missing and it takes SOOOOOOOO LONG to get your order. I thought I would beat the drive thru but nope, I'm currently standing here waiting for my order that I placed after parking my car to get out of the long line. *I've been in here at 20min. She's always working the night shift and has such a great attitude, which honestly stands out even more considering there are only TWO people running the entire place. She let us know upfront that there would be a bit of a wait, which we appreciated, and we still ordered because it's one of the only spots open late. It seems like management knows they're open later than other fast food places and still only staffs the bare minimum... which feels unfair to the employees. Eliza was taking orders, making food, and handling everything with patience and positivity. When we left, there was a long line of at least 8 cars -- all for just two workers to handle. That's kind of crazy. This isn't a complaint about the staff at all -- they're doing an amazing job. If anything, it's a call for management to either hire more people for the night shift or pay these workers more. They're clearly working extremely hard and deserve better support.

The burger was everything I want in a smashburger: a soft, toasted bun, crispy edges on the patty, perfectly melted cheese, and a flavorful sauce that tied everything together. The buns are potato bread and locally sourced. It was simple, but executed really well. We also got a regular order of fries, a regular cheeseburger and a Carolina Onion burger. Everyone was beyond satisfied with their food. There was plenty of parking available when we visited. The parking lot does require payment but only starts at $0.75, which wasn't a big deal and made parking easy to find. The only downside is that there are no public restrooms, so it's something to keep in mind before stopping by. The outdoor seating gives it a fun local burger joint feel, and despite being busy, the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. Between the quality of the food and the reasonable prices, I'd definitely come back the next time I'm craving a great smashburger.

I went through the drive-through and the first thing they asked is if I would be using the app to order. That's weird. Why would I use the app to order in the drive-through? I came drive-through to talk to a human being. I asked for a caramel sundae and one for my husband too. The worker tells me my total and I pull forward and pay. I go to the second window. The worker there hands me two paper cups with just ice cream in them. I said, "I'm sorry but I asked for caramel sundaes." The worker said, "This is a plain sundae." What the heck is a plain sundae? A sundae, by definition, is ice cream with a topping on it, usually fudge or chocolate, sometimes strawberry or caramel. A sundae has toppings. I learned that at McDonald's, "plain sundae" is something you can order and it's just a cup of soft serve. In any case, I didn't order a plain sundae, I ordered a caramel sundae. The worker yelled something back to the first person who I had ordered from, then topped the ice creams with some caramel and handed them back to me. At least the price is the same for a "plain sundae" and caramel or chocolate versions, so I didn't have to pay the difference. Also, I gotta say, McDonald's really is practicing shrinkflation, as the last time I got a caramel sundae when it used to be in the plastic cups, it sure seemed like a lot more ice cream and a lot more caramel. This little paper cup of ice cream isn't really worth the price.

I was always down for a juicy succulent piece of fried chicken however it was fed to me. It wasn't the healthiest way to eat chicken, but things fried just tasted better, correct!? Founded in 1996 on the campus of LSU by Todd Graves and named after a friend's Labrador Retriever (Raising Cane), his arduous dream that began in college has since grown into one of the fastest grown restaurant brands in the U.S. Would I raise a thumb's up instead of a middle finger to their tender chicken!? PURCHASE(S) 3pc Chicken Fingers Sandwich ($8.79): This messy two-hander was slipping and sliding all over the place as I tried to keep it together (I failed). Three crispy crunchy thick pieces of chicken between a pillowy soft sweet bun with a smear of Cane sauce and a hint of lettuce, this was a lovely introduction to this brand's food, and I now understood the hype that surrounded it. Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. My only wish was that it was spicy and came with pickle chips, but it was still ono! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=sod8F8j7AIUDoK3mQptIUw The Box Combo - 4pc Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Cane Sauce, 22floz Drink ($12.79): Because of my sandwich, I was able to split this meal into two! Loaded with a little bit of everything, the chicken was just as yummy as my sandwich, there were plenty of spud sticks with a light dusting of seasoning, the toast was a revelation all on its own and would easily order a few more as a snack, the coleslaw lacked flavor (I put some on my sandwich instead), the Cane sauce add a touch of zing but wished it was spicy, and the sweet tea was like I was transported to the South it was so damn good and probably loaded with a ton of sugar. A heck of a meal at a deal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=f5GUo39r6DcCdVAVoN-ArA SERVICE I was greeted by a young woman at the front counter where I immediately placed my order, received my cup to fill with my fountain drink of choice, and within five minutes my name was called as we caught each other's eyes while I waited nearby. Everything was good - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots although I decided to do the 25-minute one-way walk for exercise - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A standard quick-service restaurant layout with a central order counter, a fountain drink machine off to the side, plenty of dining spots in a spacious room, and minimal decorations with some interesting elements such as these ceiling disco balls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=Ruk3zzf-dWb0pTPXWIWt6Q (I didn't know if they actually worked). Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and surrounding windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed the food at Hawaii Kai's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location as my first experience with this brand. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. Sure, they were a fast-food chain restaurant, but they started as a local small mom & pop business at one time. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $23.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
