Was pretty displeased with the portion size of meat and cheese, usually at other jersey mikes their very generous especially when your buying a $14 sandwich (#9 giant) I will be insisting other jersey mikes but can't say the same about this location. I even commented to the person making my sandwich but he said the manager was watching over him. read more

I have always liked a sandwich now and then from JM, but on my last visit I found nothing but disappointment. First the bread that is usually fresh was flat and hard. To top it off the young lady that was making my sandwich was in such a rush she put what seems to be half the meat that belongs on a #5 giant. I sure hope this is a one time issue due to I enjoying supporting this business. read more

We tried jersey mikes for the first time and decided to order online and take it to go. The four subs we ordered were awesome with the exception of them not following the modifications made on our online order(sub wheat, add peppers). We ordered a "sub in a tub" for my mom since she can't have bread and they don't sell real salads. When we got home with the order and saw the sub in a tub we couldn't help but laugh; It looked like a bad joke. It didn't look anything like the set up in the picture,was missing tomatoes and definitely not something we'd pay for again. read more

Owner of this store needs to wake up!!!! I've been to 8 stores and always impressed. I moved to La Quinta 2 yrs ago and I've been to this store about 6 times, disappointed with the service each time. The last time I couldn't believe it , with a long line waiting, there were 5 girls doing nothing because the first one to take your order was talking, in Spanish for a good 3 minutes . My family loves these sandwiches! They make everything fresh and cut the meat and cheese on the spot. My wife likes the hot subs and they nearly always get it perfect. I love my turkey provolone sub (#7) and the pepper relish they dish out is superb. Highly recommended for those craving a great sandwich! read more

Recent terrible service. Showed up at 1:30. The person cutting the Brest and slicing the meat was upset because he wanted to go home (made that clear). The bread was cut super uneven like really thin on one half where it fell apart. The next person for the toppings was in a rush too (store wasn't busy) and just tossed all the toppings bunched up in the middle. Very quickly dropped oil, vinegar, salt and pepper on it without actually putting anything on it. Had to ask 3 times to put more and got attitude for that. One customer was actually apologizing to one worker for inconveniencing him for asking for more cheese because the guy got upset and wanted to go home. Like really? McDonald's employees smile more and that says a lot. This place use to be good. read more

Hopefully this is for the jersey mikes in La Quinta. I called 4 different times today to try and order for pick up. ALL FOUR TIMES the guy said "can I put you on a brief hold" and then never heard from him again. The first call, I waited 10 minutes. The second call I wanted to see how long it would take so I waited ... and waited ... and waited .... and it was a 25 minute wait. I could hear all the background noise of the restaurant so he just placed the phone on the counter, basically. I had to hang up each time because my order was not being taken. Whoever is at the phone to take pick up orders ... SHOULD BE FIRED. I understand that it gets busy - but if you can't handle it... then you should say that you can't take pick up orders. Or hire someone that isn't a complete idiot and knows to handle a phone order. Anyway - by the 3rd call ... I was put on hold again ... I walked to chipotle, waited in a long time, had AWESOME customer service, paid, walked out of chipotle and drove home before they even picked up the phone to talk to me at jersey mikes. Terrible ! Placed a mobile order to pick up. When I arrived at location team members were confused to see me as they had not seen my mobile order ticket sitting on the register. Needless to say my order was not ready as promised. In addition to the fact that they could not rectify the situation because they were out of bread and unable to make anything at an hour before posted closing time. Took five minutes to get refunded and no one said sorry just looked at me like I was crazy for being upset. This was a crazy experience !!! Not ok ! I never write bad reviews because I know everyone has a bad day once in a while but this was another level of poor service read more

I love jersey mikes and eat at them almost weekly. This is the worst franchise location I've ever been to. The people working there are either so new that you have to tell them how to make your sandwich (high turnover) or they're just attitudinal. This place shaves a little off every ingredient trying to save a few pennies, which results in a dry and skimpy sandwich at a premium price served by somebody that obviously doesn't want to be there. Avoid and go to Palm Desert, you'll be glad you did. read more

This is the worst sandwich I've ever had. This was such a waste of $8.55. The bread is stale, the tomatoes AND lettuce are bad, and I didn't even get onions on the sandwich. Don't. Eat. Here. My father and I are from the east coast, we've heard great things about this place so we decided to try it out because it is one of the best known sandwich places on the west coast. For one they do not have their hours posted on the window so when we walked in at 7:30pm they were already packing up their outdoor chairs, come to find out that they close at 9:00pm. We did not get their "signature greeting" of "welcome to Jersey Mikes" we walked in and stared at the menu as they continued their business about in the kitchen. One of the things that really gave me a thumbs down for this place is that you cannot choose which bread you want, they actually don't have a selection you get the standard white bread. I don't know if they have wheat I did not ask but they didn't give me an option so I assume not. Another reason is that if you do not choose from their "hot subs" part of the menu and decide to go with another sandwich they will absolutely not toast it for you. Their "hot subs" sandwich options are good but if you want something else besides the 6 choices from that section you cannot get it toasted/hot. There were only 2 employees working, one was taking orders as well as starting the sandwiches, there were 2 other people in line behind us. He asked for help and the other employee denied his please for help because he was on his break. All in all if you are craving a one of a kind sandwich of your own I would suggest either Subway, Quiznos, Togo's, Port of Subs and Firehouse Subs. Maybe the Jersey Mikes in the Palm Desert location is friendlier and much more professional besides the fact that you don't have a selection of bread, or being able to pick and choose if you want your sandwich hot/toasted. All the talk and excitement about Jersey Mikes made me look forward to having a sandwich from here I am quite disappointed. read more
