In today's society, everything is about customer service. If the food is 5 stars, but the customer service is 2 stars, most people won't return. It's very rare to experience great customer services in a fast environment like Jersey Mikes. However, after being greeted as I walked thru the door by Ernesto I knew my experience was different than most restaurants. Not only was I greeted by Ernesto but he asked if I had ever been to Jersey Mikes i hadn't, he then began explaining the sandwiches/company and asked each specific item I liked to help guide me to the right sub. Once I told him I was not picky, he said, 'you have to get it mikes way' During my whole experience Ernesto made me feel welcomed, valued and that I would be taken care of. I've sat at 5 star restaurants and didn't receive the same customer service I received from Ernesto. As I sat their enjoying my fresh, tasty, and juicy sub. Ernesto continuously provided each guest with the same customer service I received. This isn't something someone can fake, this is a gift. I have already shared my experience with friends and co workers. I can't wait to catch up with Ernesto when I come back for another sub! Your hard work does not go unrecognized, Ernesto. I originally discovered this place in New Jersey and I absolutely fell in love with it. When one opened close to where I live I was so excited!! I was worried it wouldn't be as good but it was excellent! The meat and veggies all taste very fresh the quality is very good and the price is great! They give very fair portions. Great subs; but make sure you pre order online otherwise you will be waiting in line for ever. They really need to work on the process for walk-ins because there are customers leaving because of the wait which might not matter now but will when economy slows. read more

I really want to like this place...really....but I just don't. The first time I went I asked for recommendations...philly cheesesteak was the consensus from the very friendly staff...so I had to go with that and did...it was ok...not anything I wanted again. So today I thought...ok I will ask again for a recommendation and the friendly staff today said chicken, bacon, ranch...so I went with that and was thinking I would really love it because that is definitely something that I would order and ultimately like but...again...came up uninspired! So one of two things...either stop asking for suggestions or stop going back. Most likely it will be the latter...since my husband hasn't been thrilled with any of his selections either. It really is a pity because they are so friendly and want you to be happy...but overall I think in this situation it's more a preference on style more than this not being a good spot. I just don't prefer my chicken to be breaded and shredded and on an oversized roll...and it tasted very dried out. My husband said his chicken on his chicken parm sandwich (which was also highly recommended) was also dry. Just had my first jersey sub #4 large....and I have say the large was certainly bigger than I expected!!! So to say the least I was super excited while unwrapping it! On that note, my excitement fizzled away when I realized that there was really hardly any meat to that beast of a sandwich! Oh well I thought as I shoved the first of the four quarters into my mouth......nope no taste of the delicious meats promised to me, but only the intense flavor of vinager, oil, and oragano! Though the few slices of meat in the sandwich were tasty on their own after I managed to pull some out! I gave Jersey Mike's 3 stars because I really feel like the beast of a sandwich was a good price and I like their meat selection! I do feel like they should be a little less stingy with the amount of meat they add to their sandwiches, especially when your ordering a large for about $12 a pop! I'm definitely going to give them another try, as I know now what I can do to modify my sandwich to my liking! Hopefully next time will be better, all though I'm not looking forward to spending an extra $2.50 for double meat! All in all beware of the oil, vinager, oragano and small meat portions! read more

This is probably the least efficient sandwich spot I have ever been to! Came in at 1:40pm, waited 20 minutes to order because there were online orders that he "had to do first." The dining area had food all over the floor. The bathrooms were disgusting with the sink literally caked with dirt. The employees, I counted six, were standing there waiting for the meat slicer to finish before they could do anything, with the exception of the grill guy. I saw some of them just putting on gloves, without washing their hands, after touching their hat and hair. Nobody seemed to be switching out their gloves when necessary. I was already put off, but figured I would roll with it since there were so many good reviews. Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting to order, I get to the counter, and the kid tells me the guy has some orders working on the grill, and it will be another 25 minutes before my sandwiches will be done. My advice would be to have a manager that is able to help run this place more efficiently. I know younger kids tend to be less expensive to staff, but this place needs some serious leadership. read more

I was looking for a new place sub place and happened to be in the area. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by 2 employees (I believe their names were Curtis and Britany). While she was making my sandwiches, Lisa at the register was also very friendly and gave me a cookie for being a rookie! Super cute idea. Ordered 3 sandwiches online at 2pm for a 4pm pickup. When I arrived, i was told that they were out of bread and that my sandwiches were not ready. I was very disappointed because we were having people over in an hour and I had to scramble to come up with a plan B. It seemed like they didn't want to make the sandwiches once the bread was ready, so i asked for a refund. Very inconvenient.
