    #8 Club Sub

As my daughter said we're having "SAND"wiches for lunch. We grabbed some subs and had a nice lunch at the beach. We all like Jersey Mikes so this was an easy lunch that we loved.

I was excited to finally find a Jersey Mike's down here because I missed eating at them up North. So I'm only rating a 4 because of the food was good and fresh. When we entered the restaurant there was only one person in front of us. The employee was doing his best to try and multitask between online and walk in customers. The line was continuing to grow and this one employee then went to get help after the line was maybe 6 customers deep as well as a pile of online orders. So my question is why did we wait 15-20 minutes to get our food when there was ay least 2 more people in the back? I tried my best to be patient because it wasn't the employees fault however I feel it's very inconvenient. You should have one person working on online orders and another on instore orders. Just very disappointed in the wait. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean as well.

A friend wanted to try JMs so we went the next day of my first review. The subs were good, the one star comes from their questionable cleaning of the prep counter. The guy behind the counter pulled out a nasty looking wet bar rag from under the counter that looked very dirty and wiped the counter down, then immediately cut the sub roll right on the wet counter. Yuck ! At least dry the counter off with a paper towel, better yet use parchment or butcher paper. Or buy a couple cutting boards and swap them out when one gets messy. I won't even butter toast on my counter at home, I at least use a paper towel.

Super clean , bright, very friendly and accommodating service, great employees And a pretty damn good sandwich. This has not been my experience at some, but this is a great store at this location!.

Had to come all the way to Florida to get me a real sub sandwich. Nothing like fresh cuts of meat. This place blows its competitors away.

I found out Jersey Mike's subs has a gluten free sub roll. I am hesitant about going to new places because of how they handle my food. This place was great. They cleaned the slicer and cut fresh meat and cheese. They had a tray and knife only for gluten free items. They even had toppings just for me. He also changed his gloves twice during the process. The guys were really nice. I kept apologizing because I know it can a pain for special orders like this. They kept reassuring me that it was ok. Oh yeah the sub was FANTASTIC! The bread was soft and really yummy. I will be going back. It was nice to have a new place to eat.

Bandit & I were treated special. The employee went above to help me have a nice experience. sandwich #9 yum.

They have over 300 artisanal, imported and domestic cheeses, I find something new every time I go! The ambiance is what makes it special to locals, it feels like stepping into a traditional Italian market and it's hard to find elsewhere in Tampa. Definitely a staple for St. Pete! The market is almost always busy, so go right when they open or later in the afternoon on weekdays or you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder and wait 15 to 30 minutes, but honestly that time is perfect for browsing everything! My go to orders are the Mortadella Pistachio and the Fig & Pig. They are $12 each, and yes a bit pricey but the freshness and quality make it worth it.

A fresh produce, meat, fish, sausage, pickled olives, section. You walk further down and Theres the grab and go food section. Then to the left you have wine and cheese. You go further in, and Theres a fancy cheese section. Unfortunately they don't give small amounts of cheeses and cut it for you. But you can buy some really good cheeses here. Then you go back to the very narrow hallway, and Theres a ton of coffee on the left. I just got into coffee and am a coffee snob. I noticed there was a "greasy" looking bean. Which just means it's well past its freshness. The price of bean actually isnt that bad. And they offer a lot of varieties. We bought two, Guatemala and organic Mexico. I wanted to try it out before writing this review. The Guatemala one was light, faint. The Mexico was a bit deeper flavor. I would recommend to management to better advertise the coffee bean so the product moves and stays fresh, or maybe move it to a different section where people can feel comfortable getting it. It gets so crowded in the hallway. I would leave the hallway was a grab and go area. You keep walking down and you have the coffee shop to the right, and a small bread stand to the left. Of course we got coffee. Theres a small area of seating to get coffee for there. Theres a big roaster to give the appearance that they roast their own coffee but I believe it's just for decoration. Fiancé got a cappuccino. It was okay. He normally doesn't get coffee with too much milk but the waitress said there was 3 shots of espresso in there. I would say it didn't taste like 3 shots. It taste like coffee with 90% milk. And it should be told to customers that a cappuccino there is more milk with coffee. I got the con panno. Which is espresso with whipped cream. I'm not sure if the whip cream they use is fresh, or if it's super sweetened, but my coffee was sweet. It was thick which I like but I didn't like whatever sweetener they used. But I'd probably order a macchiato if I ever came back so I could taste the coffee. On the other side of the coffee shop is the sandwiches and prepared food that you order. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fiancé had the #1 with all the fixings. It was nice but if you don't like soggy sandwiches, you can ask for no veggies. Which we would do next time. I had the 7, no sun-dried tomatoes and no veggies. It was so good. The mozzerella was very fresh! If you walk past that you have the dried cured meat, and down a hallway to the right you'll find dried pasta and fresh pasta. The fresh pasta looked so good. I wished we lived in the area so I could try. You head back the other way and pass the outdoor seating and Theres also a place for you to check out you grocery/sandwiches. Right next to that section you have the pantry area of canned fish, pickled things, olive oil. Then Theres the bread and pastry area. We only had time to see these and no time to see what other stores they had or walk around. But I'd definitely come back to check those out.

Wise, weathered and experienced; a full life heavily soaked with memories, stories and anecdotes. A life lived is the vibe J.J.'s gives. As I peruse the timeless passages in the store, I come upon shelves filled with a small eclectic variety of foods and sundries. Draft beer up front. Wine and beer varietals, many types and sizes of chips and a walk-in beer and wine cooler. The place has a welcoming, comfortable and casual feel throughout. Tables, chairs and a sofa reminiscent of Aunties or Grandma's place where you can slow your roll and reminisce. I was greeted by a friendly young man who confirmed I could order breakfast. On the boards overhead a long list of options. Mostly Wraps, Sanwiches and Salads. As well as a list of available breads. They are open from 8am to 8pm. Just before I ordered came an offer, "you can add or take off anything or choose any of the breads for any sandwich". I knew right away what I wanted. Extra Bacon BLT on pressed Cuban Bread. The results were sublime, every bite the same, the perfect crunch, uniform throughout, tempered by the exact proper portions of mayo, lettuce and tomato on warm pliable bread. Artistry for the palate and senses. I know a good sandwich when I taste one. My critique of sandwiches almost always centers and highlights the lack of ingredient order, quality, quantatative balance and construction. Thoroughly pleased, I decide to order take-out for my lunch and an omelet for my wife. I wanted an original, just as they make it, with no substitutions in order to test their further Mastery of Sandwichology. The Vito was a lesson in the art of making a sandwich. Proportions and ingredients in perfect harmony. From the razor thin red onions and banana peppers to the quality of the constituents and the perfect order placement of the items. It was truly a masterful composition. I preffered it without the balsamic. Did I get lucky? Or is this what JJ's does daily. Can't wait to get back and find out. Plus, some extra money forsome of those items on the shelfs. I would've just preferred the sandwich to be crispy. It was pretty soggy. But on the other hand, executing a gluten-free sandwich safely in a kitchen that has gluten is pretty challenging. I don't doubt that they did everything to cover the sandwich and prevent cross-contamination, which is probably the only reason it was soft instead of crispy.
