Went in on a football game Sunday which was completely empty. Oil change was literally 5 maybe 10 mins. That could be a good and bad thing. I don't know if it was fast bc there was no one else was there. The service guys kept coming in to check the game score or bc they were rushing to get back to the game. Came to service my car (Lexus) they did a oil change and a radiator flush. Radiator fluid started leaking out and it did take them a couple times to find the problem. When the problem was found they showed me and told me they will take care of it. I'm giving 1 star because the staff were very friendly. After driving off and getting home, I noticed a scraping sound coming from the front of my car every time I reversed. I honestly didn't think anything of it at the time, I figured it might've been a stick or twig stuck. When I checked what the noise was a large plastic piece was hanging from under my engine. I took it to the nearest auto place near my house to get it fixed. Apparently the pins that hold that plastic piece in place weren't tightened or were missing. My car is only 3 years old. No pieces should be missing, unless the mechanic is sloppy. My advice, beware of jiffy lube's mechanics. Some of them are very sloppy. read more

I came to change my oil and rotate my tires. David couldn't get off one lug nut with the manual wrench, so he uses the gun and snaps the bolt off and tells me there was rust on the bolt!? Then I show up to get it fixed and they're not even open over 2 hours past the time they were supposed to open. After spending $380 including a safely check the safety check was denied because of a hairline crack in the left tail light that had literally been there for 10 years. The 'certified technician' explained that water could get in and then the water could short out a bulb. Never mind that it was watertight and the bulbs were fine and this crack did not detract from the safety of my vehicle. Never mind that this is just like a 'thought crime' - no crime committed but we're gonna put you away anyway cause we 'think' you're going to commit a crime. Incredulous at this nonsensical idea I simply said that I would never come back after bringing a dozen vehicles there over a 25 year period. Unmanaged and uncaring with no idea of customer service or trying to retain customers, no one at the store could care less if I ever came back. This is American business today - workers who follow rules but cannot think and have no idea that a business must please the customer or it has no customers. Worse, the entire idea of a 'safety check' is severely flawed. Another necessary evil our 'leaders' have foisted upon us. Anybody with a brain understands this but some folks like the staff at Jiffy Lube take it really seriously and use it as an opportunity to lose customers. Avoid Jiffy Lube like the plague and give your business to an honest owner operator who is trying to make a living by pleasing his customers. I had the same experience as Thuyan N. I called and tried to get a quote for an oil change. The first person who answered the call was rude. I said, "Is this Jiffy Lube at Pearl Kai?" He said, "That's what I said." Then I said how much..., he said he couldn't hear me and asked me to call back. I called back, he hanged up. I called the third time, the female person said she couldn't hear me. The few times I called after, they either didn't answer the phone or they just hanged up. read more

They let me drive off their lot with no engine air filter in my car. They took it out to show me how dirty it was (as they do to all customers) and I told them to replace it. I even signed the invoice authorizing them to do so. When I returned to pick my car up, my receipt didn't have the air filter replacement on or, just the oil change I initially went in for. I thought it was strange, but I was in a hurry so I left. I only live a mile away so I drove home and parked it. The next day, I went to drive it and it sounded like it was guzzling. I popped open the hood and sure enough, the compartment was unlatched and there was no air filter inside. Not only did they not perform the service I requested, they forgot to re-install my old air filter! I am very lucky to have found it before putting too many miles on my car but when I did, the manager Aaron was very helpful. He ordered the part right away and had my car back to me within an hour. He didn't doubt me or give me any trouble. They were overall unapologetic, but that didn't bother me too much. Takeaway: check under your hood before you drive off the lot. read more

As I had asked not to have anyone vacuum the inside of my car only because it is a mess having a dog and a child riding in it all the time. I prefer to clean my own car even though it is a nice gesture. There was another young man that held the door for me as I was leaving and greeted me when I pulled up. Fair skin. If you want to get ripped off this is the perfect place to come... paid $570.00 for a complete spark plug change for my Tahoe.. to find out they only switched 4 of them and the other 2 that the mechanic couldn't reach was left in and when I returned the next day complaining about my car still misfiring was told to change my ignition coils at $182.00 each finally going to another place to be told 2 of my spark plugs were cracked and fixed it for $37.00 each no way to get my refund from these lames!!!! Called before coming to the pearl kai jiffy lube. I asked about getting a safety check and the female on the line said come in anytime before six, no appointments necessary. I asked how much are they and she said it was $25.50. I proceed to come down there and come to find out, the only guy that does the safety checks left. I only called about 20 minutes before showing up. Word of advice guys, if the only safety check guy comes and goes as he pleases (which is not professional at all) at least have him let the people who answer the phone know. Came in for a safety check and the front desk tells us to wait and the inspector will be out in a few minutes. 1 hour passes and we learn that the safety inspector isn't even in. We were waiting outside for an hour for an inspector that wasn't even there. The guy at the front desk could of easily said "our inspector is not in at the moment, sorry the inconvenience". Much more professional instead of having us wait for no reason. As soon as we finally start to get up and leave, the inspector arrives. We finally get told to bring in the car, and WE get yelled at by the inspector " you cannot wait?!" Why were we the ones being yelled at? We were just doing what we're told by the other workers. Horrible slow lazy service. I took the second safety inspection time slot 8am on 10-7-16 and the lady attendant said it should take 45 min to an 1 hour. My car was sitting there for 50 min still not taken in??? I ask the man what going on and he said they will bring it in now??? It is still sitting there. When I pulled up they had only 5 cars. After all was completed I was told my car did not pass the safety inspection, but had to pay the $20 anyway. End of story I spent $160 and still have to get an inspection for a car that is two years old. If they told me I could not get a safety check I would not have given them the other business.
