Not pleased. I should have known better. I have never had full confidence in these places but, I was in real bad need for an oil change. I expected the up sell for the air filter (usual) and I chose a high priced oil. The asst mgr said he would give me $5 off the air filter and didn't...my bad for not noticing. Was that shifty? You make the call. In the past, quite honestly, I have used Jiffy Lube before but at another location on Riverside, but when I went by there, their waiting room door was propped wide open and I didn't feel like sitting in a non a/c room with 75% humidity outside. At least this place had a nice waiting room. Except for the shifty accounting, I would have given a higher rating. read more

This place is whack. I came in feeling confident because I had a $13 coupon from their website. I thought I would leave paying $50 max for a basic oil change. Instead, they pulled my Car into the garage, hooked up various different cables and began work BEFORE telling me my oil change service would ring in at $119. "No, I just wanted a basic oil change" (like I told the guy who took my keys when I arrived). "Your car needs synthetic oil which requires more work so this is how much it costs". Umm this is a basic 2012 VW Passat, not by any means a luxury vehicle. He then offered to take $15 off, like he was doing me a favor (the same coupon I had already seen online). I didn't wait at all to get an oil change. As soon as I arrived I pulled in, stayed in my car, and they went to work. I had good timing, because I was surprised I didn't have to wait. Service is beyond awful. The "GM" is extremely grumpy. They also said that my vehicle would be ready in 45m-hr and has yet to be serviced (its been an hr and a half). Days away from 2018 and as a woman I still am having to have my guard up to prevent people who work on cars from ripping me off.... Came here instead of my normal location (mistake) and the man who brought me outside to discuss the oil never asked me about the type of oil I'd like and quoted me the price for premium stuff and said this was it and I could pay after the service. As he's walking away I had to stop him and inform him that the premium wasn't my choice of oil and that it needed to be changed. Instead of apologizing he said nothing changed it and then walked away. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else that's going to give you the same service but with a friendly and informative attitude. read more

I've been taking my VW Beetle to this location for five years, and these guys have always taken good care of me and my car. I trust them and always feel appreciated as a customer. I noticed another reviewer was suspect of their ability to replace a headlight, but as a fellow VW owner I know those lamps can be very tricky to replace. Much better than waiting at the more crowded places, for sure. Waiting area was definitely clean and had coffee. Hot coffee. That's a big plus for me. There were definitely some weirdos in there and this one massive lady was letting her wild child run around and cause a ruckus until he fell on his face and started crying. Couldn't help but laugh. I was able to pull my car in right away and the staff was friendly to me overall, but seemed less friendly after I politely declined their overpriced "premium" oil. Seriously, I have a Camry. It runs and it's paid for. I don't need premium oil. Went through the usual routine and again they tried to tell me that I needed to replace a filter. Well, said filter is 10x more there than online or at most any auto shop. I guess you're paying for premium installation. Overall, it's a decent experience and a quick in and out. Just a bit uncomfortable when the guy gets awkward because I don't need premium oil in my average car. read more

I hate that my first review on Yelp was spurred by a negative experience, but here goes. I went in for an oil change, and because I was feeling like a good citizen I also got my car inspected because it was due for an inspection (even though the price for an inspection was a bit higher than most places, it was a two birds with one stone sort of thing). Well, they failed my car's inspection because of a hairline fracture in the taillight. This car has passed inspection at least 5 times with that same crack. In fact, the statute that regulates the the taillight portion of the Texas inspection reads that a car should fail if the "[l]ens is cracked or broken to the extent that a portion of the lens is missing and/or separated, permitting light from the bulb to emit through the crack or break." Those conditions clearly did not apply to this tiny little crack in my taillight. They were incredibly rude about the failure, and now I am out 30 dollars. I am not about to replace a perfectly fine taillight so I will have to go get my car inspected elsewhere, a place where they actually follow the regulations as written. Long story short, DO NOT get your car inspected here. P.S. Do not allow your teenage daughters to go here either, as the guy at the counter was aggressively hitting on a girl who was no more than 17, and was discussing her math homework and curfew on the phone with her mother while she waited. read more

Very friendly, courteous and professional service at this Jiffy Lube location. Everyone from the first person who greeted me to the guy who took my money were all very easy to work with. They weren't pushy about trying to sell me stuff I don't need (this has happened at other Jiffy Lube locations in the past), and they were all very polite and friendly. This is what I have sent to Jiffy Lube, I hope they intend to take care of this issue... Hello, I am not 100% certain on the date of the service, but my car has an extensive profile at your locations since it's the only place I take my car for service. I came in to your store 3042 a few months ago. My Yaris had made a squealing noise once or twice in the weeks prior, due to a belt being worn. When I came in for my oil change the attendant suggested getting the belt replaced, I went along with his expert advice, being that I am not a mechanic. I was there for a long time and went to ask why there was such a delay and the man working the desk told me that they didn't have the belt on hand and had ordered it from the parts shop they use. Another 30 minutes passed and I got up and asked again, he said they brought the wrong one and they had to source another shop because the original one didn't bring the right belt. All in all it was a little over an hour wait. I remember because I had a conference call that I had to take at the shop due to my extended stay. The total was approximately $118 for the service. I paid and left. As I was leaving there was a little squeal from the belt, but I thought it may be because it was just installed. It continued for the next couple of days, so I took it back. They adjusted it. It had now gone from a constant squeal to an intermittent squeal, now it only happened when I was backing up or accelerating. I gave it a few more days and then went to a different Jiffy Lube (#2006) the attendant there told me that they had installed the wrong belt. He could tell because where the tension was adjusted, it was obvious where it had been for the last 80k miles and now it was in a different place. He said he couldn't change it and I should take it back to #3042 to have them fix what they had done wrong. I went to them that day, they said it they would adjust it to get rid of the squealing. They said it was too tight and needed to be relaxed some (again, I have never tampered, so it's been too loose and too tight both at the hands of Jiffy Lube employees). All in all I have been to Jiffy Lube 4 times in the last few months for a problem that your employees created and I paid over $100 for. No one has been able to fix it and everyone keeps pointing the finger in another direction without fixing it. I still am not sure if I have the right belt on my car or why it still squeals intermittently. But my car, which I take pride in, sounds like it's falling apart due to a single part that was installed by your employees. Please let me know where I can go to get this fixed and how I can be certain that this problem will be resolved once and for all. It's been a draining experience that brings into question your companies abilities to meet the service needs of my car. read more

I brought my Subaru in for an oil change b/c they were out waiving the $19.99 special and no waiting sign along the road. The attendant told me my car used synthetic oil and that It'd be $100. I told him I didn't think that was the case. He left to "check my car" and came back to confirm that I did indeed have Synthetic. So, 2 hours later, I paid $100 for an oil change. Next time I needed oil, I went back to the dealer, who'd been doing all oil changes,prior to trying Jiffy Lube. The Dealer confirmed that my car did not require Synthetic, and that they had never used Synthetic oil in my car. So, I got scammed by the desk jockey at Jiffy Lube. read more

I completely understand why this place has so many bad reviews. I truly only came out of necessity after reading all the negative reviews I decided to give them a shot because they were open so early but they don't always have their inspector available. Joe the manager truly doesn't care about the customers as he mopes around the office out of necessity. When they finally do get to your vehicle Joe comes across as condescending expecting you to understand what's going on with your vehicle. Horrible horrible service! read more

I've waited two years to write this review. So I'm not writing this in the purity of rage or anger. I write this because I feel people should really think about where they are taking their vehicle and get more involved with what is happening to it. I give them one star because I think that I have to give them one star to even rate them, but I like to think I give them one star for the small glimmer of humanity that lies behind the corporate greed that runs them. I went to jiffy lube for many years and dealt with many different employees, some who've been extremely outstanding. One helped me out with making sure I passed my inspection. What went terribly wrong was with another car down the line that was handed to me after an inspection that was passed. I started to drive it away and I immediately could tell something was horribly wrong. I drive a standard and I couldn't get my car past 40 mph on the feeder. It sounded wrong, it felt wrong. I was freaked out and I couldn't believe they knowingly gave me back my car in a dangerous and broken condition. I brought it back and spoke with the manager and it became one of the worse weeks in my life. The poor guy who gave it back to me was honest and admited he gave it back to me like that. I've always felt bad that honesty isn't valued enough in our society. I hope that guy is doing well somewhere out there. Anywho, back and forth with manager, they try to send my car to their guys to get it fixed blah, blah, blah on the phone lots with Texas Heartland who owns most of jiffy lubes in central texas area, finally I get my car fixed with my mechanic and settle things. It was really rough dealing with these people. After talking to others about my experience, I hear more of that kind. Not here specifically, but with Jiffy Lube, oil not being changed, oil caps not put on, filters not changed. Cars ruined... not to mention my last car after selling to my family was junked because supposedly the oil gunked up in a 2004 vehicle like it had never been changed. I am not 100% what this place had to do with it, but it was the main place I got my oil "changed". I didn't watch them do it so I don't know. Probably most of time they're alright... until something doesn't go right. I wonder how well they treat their employees and how much they truly want to give you good service or just sell you stuff. Fast food mechanics, I could have been more mean, but I just don't have the heart to put my energy into that. Make your own judgements. read more

The cold weather affected my tires, as it always does to everyone, but this year I wasn't prepared. I normally get all the work done on my vehicle at the local shop my boyfriend runs in Southwest Austin, but my front right was not going to last the drive because it was so low. Jiffy Lube is right across the highway from my office so I drove over there slowly to find the guys closing up, but Roe was kind enough to help me out with courtesy. He checked all four of my tires and made sure it was safe for me to drive, despite it being closing time, and I could not be more appreciative. Thanks guys! read more

Came in for a car inspection and was told by the inspector that the wait would be about a hour and to go ahead and park my car, go inside and someone would be with me shortly. After waiting a hour and a half I spoke to another worker that the inspector had gone to lunch since there was no cars to inspect at the moment, which I knew was not true especially since the inspector spoke directly with me when I first arrived. Unfortunately I made the poor choice to wait for lunch until after the inspection, so now it's 2 hours since I first got here and I'm starving because I have to wait for the inspector to get back from lunch. I would just have gone somewhere else but I needed an inspection done today as I would not have another chance before the end of the month. Very disappointed in the service here and will not be going to a Jiffy Lube again in the future. read more

I pulled up and the car being worked on was already being moved out of the garage. I got out and approached the garage to wait for the workers to finish. 3 to 4 times within 5 minutes the 3 employees looked at me and no one acknowledged my existence. Once acknowledged I was very courtly asked questions that the employee could have gotten himself like mileage. I was not asked about oil preference (synthetic, blend, regular) which turned out to be bad for me as a full synthetic blend was then put in the vehicle when I wanted regular (nearly half the price). Close to home which is the only reason I went but will definitely not make that mistake again. read more

The last time I got my oil changed was here. I went to another place for my next change and the plug's edges are completely scraped off so a tool will have difficulty wrenching off the plug. I had a really great experience at this Jiffy Lube and will come back for my next oil change. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. I had the inspection, oil changed, and air filter replaced. I was there for about an hour, but it seems like waiting is lot easier now that i have my iPhone and the time flew by. When my car was ready to go everybody in the building said good-bye even the guy on the lawn waving a sign! My car was driving smooth and getting great milage after the oil change and I plan on going back for other car services. It's also right next to a starbucks if you get super bored waiting. read more

When I arrived, the employees were very nice and courteous. The wait time was great, it took all of about 15-20min to get the signature service. When I got back into my truck I noticed that only the driver's side floor board was vacuumed and they might have cleaned a corner of my windshield. All of my other fluids were already topped off so I can't say wether or not they would have done that. Two stars for not messing up the oil change, for filling my low tire and clearing my maintenance light. read more

I went in for an inspection, not an oil change(I have to clarify this). It took a while, but that's to be expected when you show up at 2pm on a Sunday. They also let me know that it would be about a 2 hour wait, so I definitely knew I would be waiting a while. Not a problem because you can always hang out at starbucks right next door. Once it's completed, I leave and stop off to get food before I head home. When I come back out to my car, pretty much all of my oil is on the ground under it. I immediately drive back to Jiffy lube because I'm panicking a bit. To clarify, I don't think they were at fault for my car leaking oil(I got an oil change at Accent a few days ago), but even if they were, they handled it very well. The guy told me to drive my car into the garage. They replaced the plug that had fallen out and put more oil in to replace what I had lost. Oh, and they didn't charge me for any or it, so I was pretty relieved. I will definitely be coming here again. read more

I have been coming here since 2013. The employees are always different it seems, but they are always sweet. I've never had a bad experience here. I've been going for my oil changes and they always vacuum my car, put air in my tires if they are low and wipe my windshield no matter if it needs it or not. I love coming to this one, sadly I don't live near this location anymore. Last month, I went for my oil change to the Jiffy Lube on Parmer Lane and was disappointed. I knew I should've drove twenty minutes to come to this one. The guys here are always friendly, don't try to sell you anything extra and are always informative. Since it is right by the Starbucks, it can be hard to get into because of the drive thru. read more

I have been coming to this Jiffy Lube for a long time. They have given me great customer service at all times! The last time I was there I complained to them about the wiper blades that they installed, I let them know that they were making a loud noise and that I had to turn my radio up not to hear it. They tested them and said that they were ok? I was not happy. The guy who was helping me asked if i would like to have them changed out at no cost? I said YES! That i am not making this noise thing up. They changed them out and now they are working perfect. Thank you Jiffy Lube for having great customer service.
