They build in a copy I guess a Chinese oil filter copy the part broke apart after 3000 miles even it should last for 15000 miles in my BMW. I would not go there again. This facility is full service so talked to Sal, the manager, regarding having an air compressor installed, I hadn't had AC in a couple of years (the dealership quoted me $1500!) They allow you to take your own parts in, so saved by buying the compressor online. Sal checked out car, gave me a quote and topped oil off because the work wasn't being done right then. I had to wait a few weeks because Sal was out of office. Thursday it was finally done, along with an oil change. The A/C work ended up costing me about $240, mainly labor and recharging and adding the refrigerant. They also checked tires, window washer, radiator - all fluids. I was done in an hour and thrilled to bits. I highly recommend you talking to Sal before having the work done. One thing I didn't do was ask what other parts were needed for the A/C, so its best you ask because they may not have those parts in stock. Its the first time I felt like I wasn't being ripped off by mechanics! read more

INTERIOR SHARPIED. While the service was fast, when the attendant was writing the mileage on the tag with sharpie, he accidentally sharpied the interior side panel. Then he tried to write the tag on the door and sharpied the door panel as well!! He was apologetic and called his manager promising to reimburse for damages. Dealership told the door interior is a leather composite and likely needs to be replaced, which runs at around $1800. Detail shop said they would not be able to do much about sharpie as well. Now I have to deal with manager, order multiple parts from dealership, and get it installed. This is unacceptable and I'm not sure employee will keep his job after this. I recommend stay away from this place due to carelessness. Can't trust someone with your engine when they can't write a tag on a clipboard and end up ruining half side of your car. read more

It turns out my wife's car was missing an important feature that is built inside the oil filter housing cap:( After he explained this problem can cause oil pressure to go up, we decided to leave the car over night so they can have the new oil filter cap delivered the next day. I called the dealership while I was waiting for my vehicle (Normandin Chrysler) and asked the service manager to verify if this were true, he replied "they recommend" you use a synthetic blend but it WILL NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY IF YOU DON'T! Omg.. What a joke this place is. Before going on a long trip with the family to LA we brought my wife's 2011 Honda Pilot for an oil change (keep in mind, this is a front wheel drive vehicle) We pull up and walk inside and the technician says "we looked over your car and you should get the rear differential fluid removed and replaced" I looked to my wife and said "honey, your car doesn't have a rear differential because it's a front wheel drive vehicle" So naturally I said no thanks and just an oil change. I double checked the fluids and cap, drain plug and filter and they actually DID change the oil but to sit there trying to rip my wife off by offering a service to a vehicle that doesn't have what you said it needed is REALLY shady. The guys were super helpful and nice, but I did NOT get what I paid for....as part of the signature service...there is supposed to be a checklist of things that they need to do...including washing the exterior of windows, refilling washer fluid, vacuuming etc. I never paid attention to the exact list until today when I was sitting and the Katie Couric show was on and I decided that it'd be more entertaining to read the sheet of paper that explained the service. Once the job was "complete," I noticed that my car wasn't vacuumed, windows weren't washed, and washer fluid empty. And the most important thing of all....the clear sticky thing for the top left of my wind shield to remind me to go back (my life relies on this) was missing! I arrived on a Friday around 5pm. There were a bunch of cars waiting and I was told it would be about 15 minutes before they could begin my oil change. I went inside where there was a Keurig coffee maker, helped myself to some free coffee, and waited. About 10 minutes later my car was done! I was so surprised that it had been completed so quickly... I had to have my fiance double check when I got home to make sure my oil had really been changed. The people there are exceptionally friendly and courteous. GRRRRRRR. Took my car in for an oil change. I just bought this car like 3 weeks ago. It had been detailed, all nice and new looking....... Well they were kind enough to put plastic over my seat but neglected to put anything over the floor mats so now there is a smear of black oil on the driver's side mat. Not only that but he must have also scraped his foot against the inside of the car getting in or out cause there are all these black scrape marks. And lastly they left the cap off one of my tires when they checked the air. These might not seem not big deals, but I have had this car less than a month! This place is a huge rip off. I go in and sign their estimate of $89.00 for a full synthetic oil change. They do the oil change but when I go to check out they tell me it's going to be $120. I asked about why it was so much more and they said it was because my truck took more than 5 quarts. First of all how do they do oil changes all day everyday and not know that a truck is gonna take more than 5 quarts and include that in the estimate. Second of all my truck only takes 7 quarts. There is no way two extra quarts should cost 30$. I can get an entire case of it for 40$! The lady at the counter then told me I should have read the fine print on the pink slip I signed. It says up to 5 quarts included but nothing about it costing an arm and a leg for anything over that! read more

The 3606 Camden location put me off with their very poor customer service, so I didn't stay and have them change my car's oil. But I still had the Jiffy Lube gift card, so I went to this location to see how they were. I think a total of four guys wound up assisting every step of the way, which was pretty cool, because it seemed like a coordinated effort: It was attentive, brisk customer service which I really appreciated. Docked one star for the employee who was running through the checklist of things before I signed the estimate. He was mumbling SO FAST that I was thinking everything he was mentioning was fine (like: "wibberfluibfihnne, finhhnhfihne, bmhhnhhfine..."). Then after they started work I was less certain, so I went back and asked -- "Did he just suggest I get the tires rotated? I couldn't tell" and the answer was yes. So I said, well, yeah -- do that, please. So I think that, in their hurry to be efficient and move customers along, they could have taken just a bit more time to make sure I didn't want service on each thing they'd checked. In fact -- now I think I should look at the receipt and see if there was anything else they'd noted... :-/ The only other thing: I wish they'd vacuumed the car a bit. I'm pretty sure the car is lightly vacuumed at other locations I've been to, but I'm not sure if it's in the oil change service package or not, so maybe that's just a nice extra touch other staff has offered elsewhere. I am sitting here trying to thinking of what kind of review I am going to give here, well I am going to just write what happen to me during my two different visit here. So, here I go....during the month of December I needed to get my oil changes in my vehicle, I showed up and the employee greeted me as soon as I turned off my engine and asked what kind of services I would need this day, of course I am there for an oil change, but it was nice to see the employee ask if I needed any other services, and let me reply to that question. He then instructed that they will be more than happy to seat me in the office location and waiting room, which was nice and clean. They pulled my car in the bay to due their review of my vehicle and then called me back at the counter to give final information on what I would like to have done to my vehicle, this was done with great professionalism. I was able to let them know exactly what I would like done including changing my daytime running light and air filters, this was done and checked. The staff here was done in good timing, now if you want this done in less than 5 minutes, then it will not happen, but my total time at this location about between 15~20 minutes, which for me to spend on my vehicle was great, I usually spend about 30~45 minutes at a Jiffy Lube location due to how busy they are, this was very good service. Now with all that said, just recently I took my vehicle back for a top off of the fluids. They let me pull the car in and sit in there while they did what was needed, the employees that helped me out was excellent in his service. It is hard to find something wrong right now with the service I received with these two visit. I am sure somebody will not like reading this especially after the reviews I read from the past, the service I received was great and I would recommend others here to this location. I've honestly just had it with jiffy lube, it's gone so downhill. A year ago I had an incident with them not tightening the bolt on my drip pan and all my oil leaked out. The shop was awful about it but it finally got resolved through corporate had to intervene because the manager and area manager couldn't be bothered to call me back. Now this year, I take my car in and it's fine, not leaking anything. I get the oil changed, let them charge me for a couple new filters and now my car is leaking coolant, massively. I took it back and they said they don't know where it's coming from or why it's leaking....there's no notes in the system about it leaking before so they don't know. Ugh, I'm sick of it! Twice now I bring in my car and it's not leaking anything but once they get their hands on it then there's suddenly mysterious leaks and no one can ever just take accountability for what they messed up. So done. I'm never coming to jiffy lube again, loyal customer of 7 years got me nothing but expensive repairs and the run around. read more

Now that I have been doing my oil changes regularly at JL I do see a difference in the two JL shops that are about a mile apart from each other. This location is MUCH easier to get in and out of. The traffic volume here is half of the location across from Target. I came here on Easter Sunday because I knew nobody was going to be around. He said they had six cars so I waited about 30 minutes. When I arrived, the place was a ghost town with about 5 guys hanging out. They were very efficient in explaining everything to me and generally nice young guys. (They were probably also bored to death as there were no customers to help but me) The manager who was a young guy also, was very helpful as well. I do however miss the deal they use to have about getting your 3rd oil change half off. I have done an engine and transmission flush here besides the oil change and have had no problems. I don't think I would still come here for any major work but if you are looking to get a quick oil change, this is the location to go to for sure. read more

Mixed. I've had a couple of oil changes here, and never had any trouble with the oil changes themselves. Another pro: this Jiffy Lube is very conveniently located (right next to Hwy 17). My most recent visit is the reason for only 3 stars. I took my brand new car for its first oil change (which they noted and made a big deal about), and the technician ratcheted the driver's seat all the way back. Somehow, in the process, he managed to completely mangle a piece of plastic casing under the seat. I'm not that observant, but it was so mangled that even I noticed right away. "Are you sure it wasn't already like that?" they asked. Um, no, it was DEFINITELY not like that. So the technician attempted to bend it back into shape and then just walked away. No apologies, no offer to really do anything to make amends. It was very obvious they just wanted me to haul ass. I didn't bother to make a scene - what would be the point? Was just about to drive over the hill to Santa Cruz and my check engine light went on. Started getting nervous and thought I should pull over and take it in somewhere to have fluids checked. There it was right off the 17 freeway...Jiffy Lube! Told the gentleman about the sensor light and he told me they'd check everything out for me. Total eye candy while waiting too. Wow! So about 20 minutes later they drive my car out and tell me she's good to go. All the fluids are fine and my check engine light could be triggered by fueling up with gas. I asked him how much I owed him? "Nothing!" was his reply. I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for years and I love it. I now live an hour away and still come here for the outstanding customer service and service they do here on my car. They never over charge me and are extremely kind. Sal the manager is the best! Just had a visit last week with my car. They were very busy so I left my car since I had other errands to run and didn't need the car. About 1 hour later I went back and the car was done. The service helper was very friendly and helpful. I had forgotten to bring my coupon and the one on my phone was having issues coming up so, he used one he had since I had been a customer in the past many times. I really appreciate him giving me the discount which saved me some money. Never a bad day when you save a few $$'s. The location is right off the main street and easy to get in and out of. They were really surprised when I told them that this Jiffy Lube had changed it a week prior. However when I came here the guy really tried to charge me $40 just to get the diagnosis code without getting any work done. When I questioned him, he then gave me my diagnosis for free, as he should've in the first place. Don't let them take advantage of you/overcharge you. I kept my cool while I was there but became extremely irritated on the way home when I was thinking about my experience. I went for an oil change and left w my glove box broken and on the floor. Then was told I needed to buy the part and come back and have them fix it for a fee. I knew I needed to have it fixed anyways so I just said ok and left. The reality is that I shouldn't have to pay for any of that since I never requested to have anyone try to open it. Now my car is messed up and fixing it isn't in my budget. Love this location!! These guys work really well together. I feel very comfortable coming here. They greet you with a smile always. Even though its over 100 degrees they are still very friendly. I have seen customers complain about the techs not cleaning cars like a detail shop. These guys are like mechanics. Not car wash attendants. I dont see how people can get so upset about dash boards not being wiped down or trash being cleaned up. Omg. They vacuum the floors and clean your windows as a courtesy. I'm updating my review because I was totally wrong about the price of the oil filter The owner or manager contacted me after reading my initial review and asked me to contact him if I really had been charged $50 for the oil filter, since it is included in every oil change. I took a closer look at my receipt, and yes, the oil filter is included in the oil change. The part I paid $60 for was the fuel filter, which is totally different. read more
