Came here for an oil change for my daughter who was on vacation. Was kindly greeted and carefully (icy outside weather) brought me in the office. The kind gentleman brought up former info on my daughter's service on her car. The very capable mechanic quickly and efficiently changed the oil with the correct choice from the history, vacuumed the car beautifully, checked the fluids and topped off as needed. Not once have I ever had a door slammed on my face until today, at jiffy lube, by a jiffy lube employee. If I could give 0 stars I would. What a trash excuse of a jiffy lube. I never write reviews but this needed to be written about. I'm sure it will get deleted, but I'll make sure to keep posting it. Sunday 1/27, I enter the parking lot, see someone at front desk on their phone. Pull around and wait at the garage for 5 mins, and nothing happens. Pull around to the front to go inside and the male is gone, as if he's hiding. I proceed to knock on door since I know he's there and am slightly angry at this point. He answers and first thing he says "why are you banging on my door?" My responses was "because you're supposed to be open...?" He said they were not and would tell me why if I didn't bang on the door. (Even though the door clearly said 9am-5pm) Then proceeded to tell me he would call the cops for knocking on the door... lol. Then closed said door on my face. I didn't catch a name, but it's the poor excuse of a human that was "working" on Sunday 1/27 around 11:30am. When I pulled off in their lot, another car came and asked me if they were closed so I told him my experience. He said this is the second time this week he's come during office hours and they've been closed. Garbage garbage garbage. It was 6:35 pm the day before Thanksgiving the open light was not on but the young man was cleaning the window I made a suggestion to my watch the young man ran out to get me to let me know that they are in fact open and that they would be able to take me. Corporate please get this location a new working open sign! Unfortunately this will be the 3rd time I'm back here for things that they should've taken care of the first time. 1st Time I was back here was for a replacement for a replacement of a wiper. 2nd time I was back here because the technician wasn't familiar with how to reset the computer so it kept reminding me that I needed an oil change when the oil change has taken place 2 weeks prior. Now.... I'm here because the car is reading low oil and I'm 1400 miles short of the next appointment. Soooo on top of all that now I'm dealing with a very rude technician who wouldn't let me explain the problem. He kept talking over me and was trying to guess what the car needed. Completely uncalled for. A $180 oil change has become much more expensive since I've come back here multiple times. read more

Don't even think about this place. I pulled into this location at 3:30. After being instructed which lane to pull into, I went to the waiting room. No one greeted me or initiated service. After 45 minutes, during which time my car had not even been pulled in, I went to the counter-which no one was at- and knocked. A woman came out of the office where she had been talking and laughing with someone else. I told her how long is been waiting and asked for an estimate how much longer it would be. Without answering, she went to the floor, where she proceeded to work on the other car, along with the entire rest of the staff. The next time anyone came into the office. I asked to see a manager. I told him I wanted my car pulled through so I could leave and told him how upset I was with the current service. I asked if the store was corporate or franchised. He said corporate, and offered to give me a number. It was not the one listed on the Jiffy Lube website. No offers to remedy the situation were made, and an apology was barely mumbled. The number he gave me dialed through to some place called GFS. While calling the ACTUAL JL customer service line, I learned all stores are franchised. That makes two bald faced lies. I simply cannot understand what type of shoddy commitment to service would allow for not only completely ignoring a customer but lying to my face. I will never even consider going to this location again, and it frankly makes me unlikely to visit and Jiffy Lube store again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. UPDATE: I see I got the same form letter response everyone else here got. I can't say I'm surprised. It's about as much effort as I expected after this experience. read more

Let me explain: I took our Honda HRV in for an oil change, and Jorge went under it to drain the oil, only to return to tell me that they didn't have the ideal tools to access the oil pan (by removing the HRV's skid plate) without risk of damage. I was completely dissatisfied with my experience here. The man in charge told us the price of the oil change was 60 something dollars AFTER he changed it, but with a coupon it was about 50. I told him I'd never paid more than 35$ for an oil change ever. After some debating he said he'd bring it down to 45. I wasn't too happy with my experience and looking at the receipt, they charged $4 for window cleaning, but my windows haven't been cleaned at all! I can see the same window marks and watermarks that have been there for a couple days. Completely unsatisfied and I recommend you go to another place for oil changes. read more

This place is under new management (Jeff and Jose) who are focused on integrity and customer satisfaction. I came in for an oil change recently because my oil light was blinking. I was told I still have 2,000 miles left before an oil change. The reason my light was blinking is because it is a vehicle manufacturer default which happens when the car is driven 3,000 miles. Because I use the more expensive synthetic oil, an oil change is needed after 5,000 miles (not 3,000). The guys put a reminder sticker on my windshield, reset the oil life timer and filled my tires with air. Off I went with no costs incurred, a big smile on my face, and a sense of relief knowing that honest people still exist. Without a doubt, I will return as soon as I need servicing on my vehicle. I called up this morning to ask how much it costs for their signature oil change and was told $39.95 but ask for (Ill exclude his name) and he can give me $5 off. Great! I show up 15 minutes later and I see an Early Bird sign and inquire about the special and was told its $10 off the $39.95. Glad I asked so Im set at $29.95. During the change, (Ill exclude his name) says "This car got synthetic oil last time. Do it again?" Mind you, I know nothing about oils so I agree. Upon paying, Im told its $79.95 to which I question that amount and was told "We asked you if you wanted synthetic again and you said yes". Geeee- thanks for sharing the price prior. Thanks for giving me options. Thanks for not trying to pull a fast one on me. I said "As a customer courtesy, it would be appreciated if you mention the drastic price difference". Dissatisfied with service here. I asked for a total inspection for my car and an oil change. When the guy was pouring the oil, it was spilling all over the engine he didn't even clean it up or wipe the spilled oil. He didn't even do any inspection on my car. Watched him the whole time, he just went in, popped my hood, and poured the oil. I doubt it if he even changed my oil. Won't go back here ever. read more

Yesterday my serpentine belt broke on the highway coming home from work in Arlington Heights to Chicago. I was 6.2 miles away from home when my car beeping, no power steering, battery light came on, Jeep was accelerating and jumping I looked up this Jiffy Lube on Montrose. I just pulled into the parking lot when my Jeep died. I told Missy the problem and she had Jeff jump my vehicle and pull it into the service area. It was 5:30 pm on a Friday. Missy and Jeff took care of me no problem. They had the part in stock and went to work no questions asked. My Jeep fought Jeff a bit but he did a fantastic job and accepted the challenge with a smile. Both Missy and Jeff were friendly and easy to work with.
